Megumi nodded as bane cried out, his eyes opening and glowing bright green. Megumi turned her head, hating hearing such a painful cry.

Steven rubbed his beard and said "it would make sense...her energy is tied to the shadow plain, much like our friend Nightcrawler is linked to the world he uses to teleport. But its not so much a device as an artifact" He reached into his robes and pulled out a torn page. "I was looking into what was happening and how I happen to find Wolf before...I believe our portal makers are using this" He slid the paper to her across the table, on it some kind of pendent drawn on it. "Its call the Key of Worlds. It was stole years ago from the Iris's clan. They never found it and all this thing needs is a huge power source to wield it. Most of the time a mage like me would use magic energies, but I believe the ones doing this is using man made energy to power it. It must be linking with Wolf's shadow energies to anchor its gateways"

Splinters

She bit into the ginger, knowing the root well from Scarlet. Then she took the wood piece and bit into it, ready for the pain about to come. Thru the wood she asked "You aren't happy here then I take it? By my guess you were forces to work on this ship?" She closed her eyes as he started to put the medicine on her wounds, pain screaming from every open wound.

Bane pulled up his scope and looked east, seeing a ship a few miles away. He smiled and closed the scope saying "We are coming for you captain...just hang on a little longer...just a little longer..."

Bane started to gasp in pain, his back arching. Megumi grabbed his hand, looking at James. "I take that pain is expected?" Bane cried out in pain, the other seal on his chest glowing red.

Megumi shook her head and knelt down by Bane and said "But why would someone do this to him? Unless..." She looked at James and said "The fight at the cave. What if one of them did this to him when they were fighting. We weren't there at the start. What if what the masked ninja did trigger this?" Bane stirred, turning his head.

Splinters

She pulled back, shaking her head. "Can't risk it...I need my head...I can handle any pain that dirt bag dishes out...but you doctor...you interest me. How did a gentle soul like you end up with blood thirsty brutes like these?" She nodded to her guard. She flinched as he touched her wounds but kept her mouth shut. She just had to last till morning and her crew would be here to make these monsters pay for what they had done. But she couldn't let on the so near attack so she lowered her head, closing her eyes.

Then she muttered "Bane...please hurry..."

on the ShadowStrike Bane growled softly. Scarlet, the ships cook, was standing by him and asked "You alright, Bane?" He nodded and muttered "I can sense the captain...she needs us..." He turned to the one at the helm and said "Can we get more from the sails?"

He nodded and said "Let's go somewhere quiet shall we?" Robin said "You can use one of the meeting rooms, they should be free right now" He lead the pair down the hallway and to one of the smaller rooms and said "I'll keep an on Wolf for you...I'll let you know if anything comes up" He left and Steven lead Riza into the room, closing the door behind him. "Just to let you know your parents are safe...worried about you but they are alright..." He sat down and sighed, looking tired. "But like I said before, things at home aren't good. The portals you've been getting here are appearing there as well. I fear until we stop this the already think veil between these two worlds will rip apart"

Dr. Strange rested his hand on her shoulder as flash said "I'll tell them. You coming bats?" Batman nodded, running after the flash to the medical bay. Robin looked at Riza and said "you know this isn't your fault right? Wolf has always jumped into danger just so someone doesn't get hurt...it's how she's always been"

Batman and The Flash were waiting for them, Flash saying "I can get her to the med bay where Jonz is ready with Dr. fate...whoa, hey there" He waved at Dr. Strange and Batman went to robin and asked "You alright?" Robin nodded. "I'm fine, Batman...but WOlf..." Wolf was barely breathing, sweat running down her face.

Splinters

Avery looked up at him and then said weakly "Just a fever from infected wounds...nothing a cleaning won't fix...I'm suprise this crew has a doctor...you a blood lusting killer like the rest of them..." She flinched in pain, her arms killing her.

"If you won;t mind...could you just loosen the chains? I can't feel my arms and I might need them later in life...don't worry, I won't eat you" She smiled weakly

A few miles away Bane Wolfgang was at the helm, looking out at the water. He was not liking his captain's plan at all. He muttered to himself "This is nuts...no black piece is worth this..." He looked at the chart next to him and then said "We should catch up with the Man of War by tomorrow...hopefully the captain can last that long..."
