Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Yugi opened his eyes and looked at Yami. "I just keep getting my friends hurt...I get them into these problems...I'm not worth them..." The guardian moved forward and said "I am the power of the guardian. She is out there right now fighting along side your friends without her power to save you, look" a window appeared showing Seto and Joey fighting the invader, Serena barely holding the swords card, looking worse then before. The guardian looked back and said "they wouldn't fight for an unworthy cause, young one..." Yugi watched, tears in his eyes as his friends fought for him. "Joey....Kabia...Serena..."

Serena nodded, breathing hard as she focused on her spell card. The woman screamed in rage, glaring at Aerena. "You will not get in my way again!" She waved her hand and a table went flying and hit Serena hard, sending her across the room. She cried out in pain, tears in her eyes. But she got up again, shaking badly. "Keep going...I'm alright..."

Serena got to Joey, shaking badly. "Yami...will help Yugi...we need to...stall..." The invader glared and said "you won't beat me...not this time..." She lifted her hand and Serena pulled a card free and said "swords of...revealing...light..." The swords appeared around the woman, her attack bouncing off the shield. But Serena fell to one knee, sweat pouring down her face. "I...can't hold it...long...guys..."

The creature looked at Yami and laughed darkly. "You are too late Pharoh...the boy is mine now...his soul is turning to the darkness..." Yami would see a Bright light next to him and a woman appeared, the one from Yamis visions. In the gold armor she moved forward, pulling her staff free. "Darkness you say? I sense no darkness in this young soul...only light and purity..." She looked at Yami, her bright eyes shining in the darkness. "Tell him, my king...I am here to protect as I always have..."

The invader laughed and said "your attacks are useless while I hold the boys heart. There's nothing you can do"

Serena slowly moved over to Yugi and Mahad, getting an idea. She reached her pendent and pulled it from her neck, all the pain the power of the guardian had been blocking hitting her like a train. She flinched then moved and put the pendent around yugis neck. "Maybe my and your power can...link Yugi and Yami enough to help him..." The pendent glowed around yugis neck and Serena slowly got to her feet, turning her duel disk on. "I'll keep fighting...get Yugi back.." She stumbled, pain racking her like needles but she moved to stand with Joey and Seto, pulling her deck free.

Yugi was floating in a green fog, the invader wrapped around him. "Don't fight me...give in to the darkness...be free..."

The woman got up, brushing herself off and her cloak fell off. "Dark Magician...I thought you might show up...but its too late. His mine now whether you like it or not..." She stood, showing she was in fact a duel monster like Mahad, the Invader of the Throne. She smirked and said "The boy has lost all faith in himself...having been part of hurting the Guardian and her nearly dying pushed him to the darkness...and now his soul will be consumed by that darkness..." Yugi was shaking badly in Mahad's arms, his eyes green and glossed over.

There was a slam and the doors burst open, showing Serena and Joey. Serena looked around and cursed softly. "I should have known it was you...who else would be summoned for this kind of job..." Serena ran over to Mahad, pulling her staff free and holding it ready. "Magician, keep Yugi away from that witch...leave the fighting to me and Seto and Joey..." She moved to face the Invader, the woman frowning. "I'm surprised you up already, Guardian...I can fix that..." She vanished and reappeared behind Serena that hit her hard in the back, sending Serena flying to the ground but the others, her back screaming in pain. She cursed, trying to get up despite the pain. "We need a plan...we can't send her back to the shadows before Yugi snaps out of this...if we do he will be forever trapped..." She fought to get up, wishing that Yami was there. She felt stronger when he was by her side. She felt useless. Then she looked at Yugi and said "What could have happened that make Yugi doubt himself so much that she could get into his head..." Serena didn't know Yugi blamed himself, or the other fears clouding his mind.

Yugi heard the voices but the Invaders voice was in his head, making it hard to hear anything but her.

Maggie looked around the car, a small smile on her face. When asked about the drug she said "I have friends on the council, but I know it about more because a friend of mine needed help getting it out of his place of business...it took a lot of work and a nasty fight at the end but I got it taken care of for him..." She rolled her neck, Luna sitting in the back with her head out the window. "I believe I forgot to introduce myself...Lady Margaret Shade. And my partner back there is Luna. Her father and I work together normally but his away on a job so he asked if I would take care of Luna for him"

She looked at the wizard next to her and asked "And who might you be?"

Wolf looked at her and said "Batman gave us the day off? Is he not feeling well?" She slowly got up, Alpha moving his head so she could. She went to the mirror and she sighed. "Man I look like a mess...no wonder the others want a day off...they have seen me like this..." She stumbled slightly, getting light headed for a moment, leaning against the wall and trying to regain her footing.

Margaret stared and said "three eye? This guy was making the vampire super drug? Great, no wonder the seer sent my after him, he could hurt a lot of people with that stuff...but this stuff looks different...he must have made a new blend..." She stood and nodded to Luna who headed for the door. "We better go with you, the more the better"
