Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Serena helped Cerberus lay Yami down and then she turned to Apep, his curse on her breaking like glass. She stood, shaking in her own rage. "How dare you...force my king into such a state...my prince whose heart is of gold...making him fear so will not go unpunished!" Her pendent glowed brightly and Rennet gasped.

"She holds my brother's marker...but how can that be? He only has one blessed soul and that soul has been lost for time...unless...could she be..." Serena glared at the Red Eyes, her own eyes glowing silver as she said "I am Zahara...the Shadow of the Pharaoh...and you have threatened him and hurt him and his friends...I will not let that pass...not while I draw breath" She grabbed her pendent and a seal appeared on the ground under her feet, glowing silver as she yelled "I call upon the Guardian of the Shadows...who watches the Gates to the next life!" Suddenly there was a roar and the ground shook and from behind Serena from the dark appeared a shape of a huge wolf, bigger then an elephant. He growled and the Red Eyed God said "It can not be...you can't come on this plain..." The wolf chuckled, still not fully visable. "I come when my blessed calls me...if its a war you want, fallen brother...then a war you will have...our silbings will pick their sides...and a Battle of the Gods will be fought...be warned...I will not let my blessed fall to you...or her charge..." Serena raised her staff and said "Be gone, God of the Darkness! You have no power here!"

The seal flashed along with her pendent and the Red Eyes yelled in anger. The shadows were pulled back suddenly from where they came, vanishing along with the Wolf shadow. Rennet floated to the ground and let Joey go, a small smile on her face. "I never thought I would see this day...even a small chance to see my brother...it is a blessing..." She turned to Joey and asked "Are you alright?"

Tristan moaned and sat up, holding his head. "Ow...what happened...that really...Yami?!" He saw his friend next to him as Serena swayed for a moment, shaking from the stress of the fight. But she went to Yami and fell to her knees, pulling him into her lap and holding him. "Yami please be alright...Yami can you hear me?" She was shaking badly, barely staying upright herself.

Her partner pulled his armor off and gear and pulled his shirt off, showing his body that was covered in scars, not much skin wasn't somehow disfigured. "Here Serena...do you want me to start ripping?" She nodded, pushing her dark hair out of her face, her bright silver eyes studying the wound. She looked around and said "I need someone to hold his head while I do this...just rest his head on a lap will work. I need to keep the wound above his heart"

The warrior turned to the dwarves and said "We have not introduced ourselves, I am Wolfgang Bane of the West Sea...this is Lady Serena. We are heading to Rivendale to deliver important information"

Bilbo looked around and asked "is everyone alright?" When they nodded he smiled weakly and said "oh good...I was...was.." He fell back, the hobbit falling against the wall and nearly hitting the ground if the hooded figure hadn't caught him. Gandalf moved over and said "Bilbo" the hooded one lay Bilbo down and said "I need light, quickly" Gandalf blew into his staff and the stone at the top glowed brightly. The warrior moved over to his companion and said "what happened?" The hooded one said "he was hit by one of the Arcanrais. Thankfully it was claws not teeth. I need water and bandages hooded one reached up and pulled the hood off to show the warrior Mage who had saved them was in fact...

She looked around, seeing them all staring at her. "What are you waiting for? You friend needs help and I can't help him without some water and bandages"

Rennet suddenly pulled Joey up and they were in the air, the goddess looking worried. "His fear and anger is releasing his power...if he chanllenges my brother then we will not survive this fight...hang onto me, Joseph, I will keep you safe."

Serena looked at Yami, seeing his anger and suddenly a memory flashed before her. Pharaoh Yami standing before a group of hooded figures, his eyes glowing brightly. Then from behind him arms wrapped around him, and a woman stood there, talking to him softly. "Not here, my little prince...they are not worth your wrath...let me handle them...please..."

Serena got up, still fighting for breath. She ran over and hugged Yami, her face in his new chest. "Not here, my little prince...his isn't worth your wrath...your friends are here and if you unleash your power here they will get hurt...please...let me handle him...let your shadow fight this battle for you"

The warrior looked at him and said "no need to be defensive comrade, just thinking out loud" he looked around and said "we need an escape route!" The hooded one just finished off the last hybrid when Gandalf was near a large rock and looked down. "Everyone this way quickly!" The hooded one turned and saw his thinking and reached down and picked up Bilbo, who was fighting to keep his eyes open against the pain. The warrior ran over and cut another Orc down and moved a smaller rock to see a hole under neath. "Everyone in lets go!"

Serena ran over with him, Tristan not moving. Rennet looked at Joey and asked "are you alright Joseph?" Serena knelt down and checked Tristan's pulse. "His okay...he'll have a headache but his alright. Are you okay?"

The God roared and said "none of you will leave here alive!" Serena sighed and stood, facing him. "This is over, Apep! I now see what is going on and it's not going your way!" The red eyes looked at her and said "you...your the one..,it can not be the same soul wo locked me away!" The eyes glowed and Serena gasped, holding her chest. She fell to one knee, fighting to breath

The God laughed and said "First I will handle your friends then I will handle you!" The shadows aimed at Joey, who turned his head. Suddenly there was a flash of light and Rennet appeared in front of Joey, a frown on her perfect face. "How dare you attack one my blessed, brother! This useless battle against each other will solve nothing of the troubles you have put yourself thru!" Serena landed by Yami, smiling. A new barrier appeared, Rennet landing in front of Joey and pulling him to her. Serena looked at Yami. "We made it just in time. Are you alright?"

The God growled and said "Rennet...sister, get out of the way! I will have my revenge!" Rennet sighed and said "Apep...you know you were the one who caused your only fate...trying to take the world that did not deem you worthy...What did you expect him to do?"

Artemis looked over and smiled. "Or Rizs changed it for her...that girl has been good for Wolf hasn't she"

Wolf thought for a minute then said "tell me about your family there...the avengers you called them? Tell me about your life there"

Serena started to run after Mahad but felt fur next to her and looked to see Hound of the Guardian running by her. She smiled and jumped onto the wolf, Rennet flying above her. Rennet said "my brother has gone too far...our other brother won't stand for this disrespect much longer..."

The gods eyes narrowed and Tristan said "ya! You want Yami you have to go thru us!" The God chuckled and said "so be it!" The shadows blasted threw the barrier and went for Yami. Tristan pushed Yami out of the way and the shadow hit him hard, sending him flying into a crate. More shadows spilled in, aiming for Joey and Yami.

Wolf smiled and nodding and said "This is our day off and I am not letting it get ruined because of a dumb phone call. So we are going to have fun in all ways possible"

Artemis walked over and said "They will be here in a sec, they were downstairs. You guys see anything odd yet?"
