Marvel/DC Crossover: Worlds Collide

Robin followed the pair, worried about Wolf. Artemis followed as well, a frown on her face.

Wolf was still curled up on the floor, her head pounding and screaming for relief. The images kept hitting her one after another, getting worse with every minute. Her shadows wrapped around her in comfort, wolves shadows appearing and whining in concern.

Artemis nodded and said "Just broke it in a fall off a roof. I slipped when me and Wolf were tailing a suspect. She didn't see me fall till after she had the guy. I was lucky her shadows are watching over all of us. I was almost hit by a truck but her shadows shielded me long enough for me to roll out of the way...where is Wolf anyway? She said she wanted to spar this afternoon" Robin said "She's cooling off...she should be back in a few minutes..." Artemis frowned and said "You opened your big mouth didn't you? Don't you remember Fate and Strange telling all of us to give her a break? That she needed space to get over everything that has been going on?" She looked at Connor and said "Can your super hearing pick her up where she is?"

Robin glared at Wally and said "That doesn't concern you Wally...so drop it" The doors opened and Artemis and Connor walked in, Artemis's arm in a sling. She smiled when she saw Riza and said "We heard you might be up soon, how are you feeling Riza?"

Wolf walked out of the gym when a wave of pain like never before hit her like a train, making her cry out and grab her head. She fell against the wall, breathing hard as images flooded her mind as the pain got worse and worse. A dark haired woman yelling at a man with different colored eyes. A gold light floating then vanishing with a young girl. A man yelling and long metal claws shooting out. Wolf fell to the ground, holding her head as tears ran down her face.

Avery nodded and looked at him and said "My father was a navy captain...for fifteen years. Then his ship was hit and he lost his right leg. So he retired and when he returned home learned that our village was attacked...my mother killed by pirates. He found me...in what was left of our home...Bane protecting me with what little life he had left. So he took both of us and any man who would join him and went to the sea...not only hunting down the monsters who killed my mother but to change how things worked on the sea. It was years later he learned about the Pieces of Eight and decided their evil needed to end...he died a few years ago and I took his place as captain"

Scarlet looked at her and said "Sage is the Ship's protection officer. he is in charge of protection of the ship and its crew and everything between.

Robin nodded and said "It might be better if you come...it might help her remember we are friends..." He leaned his head back and closed his eyes, sighing. "I just can't believe its gotten this bad..."

Wolf wiped her face with a towel, rolling her neck as she looked around the gym, then saw her reflection. She looked at how bad she looked and muttered "Nothing to be proud of...is it dad?"

Robin cursed softly and sat down, holding his head. "I didn't mean that...I'm just worried about her...we have no idea what she's been doing when she isn't here...every time we see her there are new wounds and scars..." He looked at Riza and said "I'm sorry, you just woke up and we are bring the mood down...I'll let Wolf cool off then I'll go say sorry..."

Wolf was in the fitness room, hitting the punching bag. Robin's words had hurt more then he could have meant them too. Her training with Raz Al Ghoul had brought up some things she had never thought that would be a problem before. She hit the bag and panted, resting her head on it. "I am a monster...there's no false truth to that..."

Wolf put the pizza and soda down and said "I was looking for answers, Robin...like everyone else..." Robin frowned and said "No, you were looking for a fight, like your always looking for a fight ever since the Expo. Your trying to get control again or you blame yourself, I don't know. But this has to stop. We are a team and its like you've completely forgotten that your not alone" Wolf got up close to Robin, looking him right in the eyes. "That's rich coming from you, Boy Wonder...You've been blaming yourself since day one. That's why you were always sitting with Riza when you weren't out on the job." Robin blushed and looked away, and Wolf suddenly stopped glaring. "Holy crap...that's not why..." Robin looked at Wolf and said "We aren't all angry all the time Wolf. Some of us have other things on our minds apart from fighting and being wild like an animal..." Wolf tightened her fists and turned and walked away, the door shutting behind her.

Robin wrapped his arm around her shoulders and said "You have nothing to be sorry about...you saved a lot of lives that day...and we handled things. Wolf just needed her space after what happened...and she will find her way back when she can wrap her head around everything that's been happen..."

Wolf came back in, holding a pizza and a soda carrier. "Here Riza...you need to eat something. Is there anything else you are craving?" Robin suddenly stood up and said "Wolf...you have a black eye" Wolf waved him off and said "I'm fine..." Robin sighed and said "Batman got called to a cage fight last night...with super powered fighters. Please tell me you weren't there..." Wolf glared at him and said "Who do you think called it in?"

Robin sighed and said "you should know as much as we do...things kinda went to heck after the expo. More portals showed up and we have been barely keeping a lid on things. Wolf has been handling things solo...which isn't a good thing but no one dared to question her on it when she lost it on Dr. fate about a week after the blast. And I mean really lost it. He had to be taken home by his wife before wolf finished him off, and it took Jon, batman, and all of us to keep her from losing it completely..."

Robin smiled listening to the pair. He could barely think, seeing her up and around again. He walked over and hugged Riza too, smiling. "Wally, enough..." He pulled back and said "I'm glad your alright...and still yourself. We were worried the after affects...and Wolf not being here...we were worried things weren't going to get back to normal"

Wolf was making the dough, her mind thinking hard. She couldn't hide from the team anymore. With Riza back, Wolf had no reason to hide from them all....or did she? She wasn't the same after her training. What she didn't tell Riza was that no one knew that she had went to train with Raz Al Guol. Batman would be pissed if he found out.
