The Golden Crescent Hunt {Private} MegaraFoxfire and Dragon Princess

Bane sighed and cracked his neck, his alpha aura filling the plane. His eyes glowed gold and said “enough both of you. Serena? Who you mind?” Serena looked up and said “not random spirits, master swordsman. I know what to look for to keep is as close as I can find...I can have my shadow spirits keep things under control until a better choice can be found...”

Bane got up and moved between the droid and kitsune, his eyes glowing brightly and his aura was getting stronger. “We all have reasons to be here...some because of honor and some for our own personal reasons...” he glanced at Serena , a knowing look in his eyes. Serena sighed and said “how about this. I’ll set up seals and hold them myself until a better answer can be found...”

Bane frowned and said “Serena that’s not safe for you...” Serena waved her hand and said “if it gives peace I will...I’ll handle any bad things that happen...are we there yet?”

Serena didn’t flinch at his words and looked at VT. “Do you blame him? Look at what they did to him!” She got up and said “ no wonder they had to bring me in. The mess they have made with the spirit realm of course there’s a evil reaching over” she grabbed the tablet and said “dumb humans...never knowing when to leave it alone...wiping out their own kind is bad enough...”

She walked away and muttered “I’ll see what I can do...” Bane raised his head and said “forgive her VT. She wasn’t yelling at you. She’s been cleaning up the messes of humanity for a very long time...I think she’s just tired. She hasn’t been sleeping well the last few weeks...”

Serena leaned against the wall, looking over the data and muttering to herself. Her sword glowed on her hip and she glanced down. “I know...I know my friend...” she patted the blade and went back to reading, adding notes where they were lacking. She looked up after a while and said “there is one thing I can do. It’s taxing but I can make seals at the gateways and maybe if we are lucky, summon new guardians for the gateways. It’s not how it’s supposed to be but it might be our only choice.”

Bane nodded and said “we will try that then, and hunt down these classes.”

Serena frowned and moved over to sit next to him, looking at the blade and tilting her head. She looked at him and said “you took your time to craft it...it must have meant so much to you...” she sighed and reached out and rested her hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry...I know you hate everyone but...I’m your friend. I’ll watch your back.”

Bane nodded and pulled out the file to read it over. “She won’t care if he needs it or not...she won’t let it go trust me...”

Serena leaned back and her shadows wrapped around her as she said “I’ll think of a code name for you...Bane made me pick one when I got here. I told him I’m not going by my title so I pick Nyx...then that sounded dumb...is it dumb?” She looked at him, being true to her nature.

Serena was cursing getting on the plane. “The twins are meant to be used together...I’m not at my full power without both...it’s not like I can’t use them. I made them. I trained with them...” Bane smirked and said “it’s just till the boss is sure the power isn’t too much to handle...” she turned and glared at him.

“I am here as a favor. I had a job before this. And that job I did my thing and nothing bad happened...” Bane sighed and rested a hand on her shoulder. “I know...you just need to show them what I know about you...and no trying to break out you know who...” Serena sighed and muttered “fine...for now. But it’s not fair...and I should know. The blood that runs thru me isn’t only the goddess of night but also of justice...and it feels very wrong to me...”

After VT gave them information Bane nodded and said “understood...both of us understand” he gave Serena a look and Serena folded her arms. “Alright...but only for your sake VT...” Serena walked over and sat in front of the kitsune and Bane sighed. “Don’t bother trying to get her to listen more...her job before this was spirit and demon guardianship...she can’t help herself...”

Serena turned to look at the kitsune and smiled softly. “I’m sorry about this...is there a name you prefer to be called by? Your blade is beautiful...my uncle helped me craft mine, his a swordsmith for our kind, and I’ve seen many pieces. But yours is a work of perfection...did you help make it or was it a gift?”

Bane smiled as he sat by the droid, watching Serena. He muttered softly “she can’t help it...her nature”

Bane took the herbs and nodded. “Understood captain...though I am a little insulted you think I would define your orders to keep the kitsune controlled but I’ll over look it for now...” he glanced at Serena who frowned.

“She’s right about me, I would...but it’s cause his a handsome devil...will I be returned my weapon as well?” Serena’s weapon was a pair of swords that had to be held in a controlled vault mostly because anyone but Serena using them was very bad news as Serena always put it. The swords were magic boosters and in the wrong hands could wipe out a whole block.

Bane rolled his eyes and said “lady Night...” Serena smirked and waved her hand as she turned to leave “I’ll take my twins at the plane...” she vanished and bane lowered his head. “I’m sorry boss...I’ll try and teach her not to be so up front...” he turned and left the room, nodding to the other two with respect. He was a honorable man to say the least, and a selfless one. He bore a scar across his right eye from taking a attack for the boss years ago.

Serena was gathering her gear when Bane walked in to gather his gear and muttered “you can’t keep saying that about him...” Serena paused and said “why not? He needs to know he does have allies here...and if I could I would break him out and return him home...what is the company going to do to me?” Bane sighed as the pair gathered everything they needed and headed to the plane.

In the training room was two of the team. A huge guy with white hair but young, and bright gold eyes was watching a young woman in the course. He growled softly as he watched the girl running across the trial course. He tapped the mic and said “Serena, you are lagging your left side.”

The girl nodded and fixed the problem, her eyes covered with a blind fold as she waved her hands. Shadows moved with her and acted as her limbs. Then they heard the alarm and Serena stopped moving. She turned and pulled the blind off and yelled “Bane! Is that us?”

Bane nodded and hit the mic again “ya, there must be a mission up. Let’s go” the pair grabbed their gear and ran out. Bane, a werewolf blessed by the Norse creature Fenrir, ran thru the hallways up the the captains office. He had been with the company for years, but he was part for unknown reasons.

Serena, blessed by the goddess Nyx, had joined by the request of the captain. She ran with bane, her dark hair black with sparkle in it that make it look like the night sky. The pair opened the doors and Bane said “hey boss...”

Then Serena felt the power of the kitsune and she stopped. She looked around and saw him just as the guard hit him. Without thinking she walked over and grabbed the staff from the guard. Bane turned and said “Lady Night...” Serena stopped from remarking and cursed, tossing the staff back. Then she said “no reason to beat those here to do a job...I see you doing it again I’ll crack that staff over your head...”

Bane shook his head and stood next to the droid and said “forgive her...you know how she is. VT good to see you. Captain” he stood in front of the desk with his hand behind his back like a solider. Serena stood by the kitsune, her shadows gathering around her like a cloak.
