Serena looked over after checking John's stats and looked over. "They look lovely Kay..." She got up and rolled her neck. She got up and walked over to the stairs and said "I'm going to check out the books again...see if I can find something on what made that seal now that I have seen it..." She walked up the stairs and grabbed one of the books she had been looking before they were attacked again.

She opened the book and flipped thru the pages, trying to find where she had been. She paused and found the page, starting to pace around as she read. John stirred a little but just rolled over in his sleep, looking terrible.

John stared at Kay as she took his hand and looked at him. Then he sighed and nodded. “Alright alright...enough of the puppy eyes...I’ll sleep. Not too long but I can for a little while...” Serena smirked at Kay and she moved to sit by the couch, helping John lay back down and covered him with a blanket. “You’ve take two slams into a wall in the last day, don’t push your luck. You need to sleep...”

John nodded and rolled over, closing his eyes. Within moments John was snoring softly, out cold. Serena leaned back in the chair and watched Kay pull her stuff out. “We can get another bag for ya, and this one we can put a charm on it to make sure nothing else gets left...”

She glanced at Chas and said “how was taking your kid to school? You said you had a daughter right?”

Serena moved to help pick John up, smiling at Kay as she lifted him to the couch and laid him down carefully. She checked his eyes and said "He might have to stay awake for a little bit to make sure he didn't damage his brain...unless you fixed that Kay?" She glanced over and John opened his eyes a little bit, seeing how she was holding his wrist and checking him over.

He sat up a little and said "Serena...are you medically trained?" Serena froze then sighed. "Ya...I was studying when my powers started getting unwanted attention...I had to run my second year in training..." She moved over to Chas and said "Okay, we need to burn that bag then make sure he sleeps...which job do you want?" John was trying to sit up, looking around. "Kay fixed me up...I'm fine..." Serena looked over and glared. "I will sick Chas on you?"

Serena watched the scene and moved next to Chas, watching with awe. "Wow...amazing..." She rubbed her arm and watched at the wings appeared. John flinched as the magic hit him and opened his eyes a little. "Don't...worry lass...I've been hit harder...don't waste your energy..." he flinched and closed his eyes again. He was in pain but her magic was helping.

Serena looked at Chas and moved over to Kay, kneeling down. "Don't over do it...Chas? Should we move him?"

When the flames stopped Serena sighed, panting as the shadows moved away and went back to where they belonged. She looked over and said "That worked nicely...that explains how they knew where you were and how they kept coming in...We might need to burn your bag. Only way for sure to destroy the seal. Do you have any ideas John? John?"

She looked over to see John hadn't gotten up. She slowly got up and they saw the shelf had partly fallen and books were on top of the mage. Serena moved to Kay and checked her over. "You alright? It didn't touch you did it?" She looked at Chas to make sure he wasn't hit then said "Were you hit?"

John didn't move, a small amount of blood under his head was gathering.

John cursed and said "Chas, I did fix those seals right?" Then Serena turned and looked at Kay. "Your bag, its been with you all this time right?" She waved her hand and after a minute a shadow brought Kay's bag to them, setting it on the floor at Serena's feet. Serena bent down and started looking on the outside of the bag. John looked over and then he understood what she was looking for.

"Of course, I'm a moron. Nothing is getting in, because its already here..." Serena nodded and flipped the bag over. On the bottom of the bag was a demonic seal, glowing softly. Serena nodded and said "This is how they have been able to find you...we just need to get rid of the seal and..." Suddenly the seal flashed and a spirit shot out of it, aiming for Kay.

"Kay look out!" John jumped and pushed Kay out of the way, the spirit slamming into John and sent him flying into the book shelf, smashing into it and hitting the floor. Serena cursed and threw her shadows around the spirit, a sphere appearing around it to keep it from moving.

"Kay? Can you heat up the ball? We have to burn this thing with magic flame, or it won't stay down!"

Serena came up after Chas and saw the scene of both of them in the books, Kay sitting in a chair like she belonged there and John pacing around and muttering to himself. Serena smirked and moved over as her shadows handed her a book and she took it. She opened and sat on the ladder, reading through and seeing it was about the tracker ghost. She went on reading, looking up at random points to check on John.

An hour or two into reading John closed the third book he had tried and rubbed his face. “So wha do we know so far?” Serena looked up and said “well the ghost from last night is a tracker ghost. Used by dark magic to track souls...my guess the demon we faced last night sent it to track Kay down...”

John nodded, looking shaky on his feet as he turned to Kay and Chas “and I found our demon clan...nothing strange apart from there isn’t much to go on them...at least in the books...I’ve found...” suddenly the light flickered and he looked up, frowning. Serena stood as they heard giggling in the air. John put the book down and muttered “another tracker?” Serena had her shadows at the ready, looking around for the source. “Maybe...or something else...”

John sighed and rubbed his face. After a few minutes he said “alright we can all look. Eight eyes are better then two I think...” he headed up the stairs and Serena got up to follow. “He is a stubborn one isn’t he?”

They found him looking thru a stack of books, pulling out one and “let’s start with these...they might give us an idea what we are dealing...” he started pacing, but he was slower then normal. Serena waved her hand and shadows started to sort thru the books. “Chas...has he done this a lot?”

Serena nodded and said as she was moving food onto her own plate “if you don’t mind...I’d like to stay here and help you with the problems that will come in the near future...and it would be better then staying out in the open”

John nodded and said “alright, is settled. Now we need to get a better grasp on what attacked you last night...that demon in the alleyway. I didn’t get a good look at him but I start searching and see if I can find a link...”

Serena swallowed her mouthful and said “are you sure you do t want to take a small rest?” John smiled and moved from the wall and said “there’s no rest for the wicked...” he started to head to the stairs, Serena glancing at the other two with worry.

Serena watched John with concern but nodded, walking over and stopping in front of the mage. "You need to take better care of yourself, John...your needed in the fight against the dark...even if you don't think so" She walked towards the kitchen and John stared after her. Then he looked at Chas and said "What the heck?"

Serena walked in and smiled at Kay, sitting down by her. "Good morning...did you sleep well?" John followed back and leaned against the wall. "Well, Serena isn't sure what happened last night so she asked us to fill her in. Your nasty bug bite you had took a nasty turn for the worse and we had to cleanse it...and the rest of your body and soul" Serena nodded and looked at Chas as he walked in.

"Then I'm guessing Kay went to bed, Chas after telling John to get some sleep he went to be with his family, and John being stubborn went back to work till a ghost knocked him on his butt. Does that seem right?" John cleared his throat and muttered "More or less..." He rubbed his face and said "Now we have to figure out what to do now...and see if you two want to stay here for a while or not?"

Serena was watching John, seeing his weakness thru his shadows. She knew he needed rest, but force it? She couldn't do that alone.
