Serena smiled and stood up and rolled her neck. “How else do you get into a place of crazy people? You become crazy. I’ll go in as a new case and your my worried and concerned brother who can’t figure out why I keep talking to my shadows and this person named Bane”

John sighed and nodded. “Alright she has a better plan then I could cook up...maybe it’s best you two handle this. But if anything goes wrong, I’m coming in for you both got it?”

John looked at him and said darkly “that Polk deserves pain and suffering in any form I can give it...” Serena moved and rested a hand on his arm. “And he will get it...but not from you. This is the kind of thing the gods of old love to handle...besides, it’s time Bane and I handled some wet work again. Chas and I will handle this John. You stay with Kay and make sure she doesn’t find out what we are doing. It’s better to give her the good news when it’s over and done”

She looked at Chas and said “I can handle the...painful parts. You won’t have to lift a finger. We will need to hit him where he works though. Are the kids kept at the same place he works?”

John was shaking with rage by the end, but Serena had gone very quiet, like a wolf about to attack its prey. She said slowly “well then...it seems something will have to be done won’t it? And I don’t think it should be John. I have a feeling he has a record? And isn’t very good at keeping things under the radar?”

John looked at Serena and said after Chas spoke “what are you saying then? We just let him go on?” Serena smiled and her eyes glowed softly. “Oh no...we just give him a taste of his own medicine...he likes to show off his power over his little kingdom and mess with kids...we make him feel how he made all those kids feel.”

It wasn’t a guardian and target relationship...it was a partnership”

Serena looked at Kay and said “it makes sense...our powers work with each other well...” she moved to the table and sat, pulling a crepe off the plate and putting it in her mouth. “I made a lot Chas if your hungry”

John moved next to Chas and asked softly “what did you find out mate?”
