Trish looked at him then said “but…what about Serena? Don’t you care about her?”

Serena frowned and walked over, moving hair out of his face. “I didn’t even know that could happen. Maybe we need to keep shades around for next time…” she looked around and then looked at Kay. “Okay…what changed? Something is different”

Trish wiped her face and said “but that means your not happy…you’ve had to throw all your dreams away because of me…” Serena sighed and headed down the steps to find the others. She walked in to see Chas laying John on the couch. “What happened? Is he alright?”

John’s eyes looked like he had black eyes and his pulse was a little fast. But he would be fine.

Trish looked at him, tears in her eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why…” Serena slowly got up and went to the door. “Here, use my room to talk okay. I think they need help downstairs…”

John cried out again as there was a flash and the towel burst into flames and vanished in smoke. John fell to the side against Chas, passing out from the pain.

Serena blushed with the kiss and moved back a little, a little surprised by the kiss. She then said “I’m glad I could help…should we go find the others?” Then she held up a hand and the pair heard steps moving from the door. She asked softly “did Trish know what you told me?”

John cried out in pain as the water hit more of his eyes, shaking and arching his back more as it went on. He fought not to pull the towel off, the pain burning like lava on his eyes.

Serena smiled and said “always…now, you can’t let it all fall on you anymore…got it?” She smiled her true smile at him, one she hadn’t used in a very long time.

John gasped and said “Chas…pin me down…Kay, can you hold the towel on my face…this is going to get so much worse in a few minutes”

Serena hugged him back, smiling softly as she rubbed his back. “It will be okay…I know it will…we all stick to together now…we are a family. We stick together alright?” She moved back and smiled at him again, resting a hand on his cheek.

John was shaking as he fought not to throw the towel off his face and said “too long…this really stings”

Serena smiled and said “when my power first showed up…I was living with my boyfriend at the time. I learned all about this with him every step of the way. Then…I got attacked in the ER and I ran. He came with me and we almost got out but the guy had a gun…he was aiming for me to slow me down but…Logan took the shot. He used himself as a shield and…I couldn’t save him. He died in my arms…” she tilted Josh’s face to look at her and said “you ah e to remember yourself…because if anything happens to you…she will be alone. And the world be darker without you in it. If you need to let it out now…I’m right here”

Trish was standing outside the door, silent tears running down her cheeks.

John looked over and said “I just figured out what happened…I’ll be okay just have to clean my eyes out” he leaned his head back snd laid the rag on his eyes, gasping as it started to burn. “Bloody hell! That hurts more then I thought it would. Make sure I don’t move it off till it’s done”
