Bane came running back to the door, panting hard. “What the heck was that…did you…” he saw the state she was in and muttered “holy crap…she really is the one..she has to be…”

Dante limped to the doorway and said “well the paramedics just got inside. Seems only w few lives were lost before we got here. After that it’s just wounds. What the heck did she do?”

John grunted in pain and said “I don’t want to lose her Chas…I can’t lose her…not like this…” he stumbled and fell to his knees, breathing hard as he tried to get a grip.

Serena nodded and said “you have time Kay…I just don’t want you to lose your cool and spiral is all…” they heard the thud and she glanced back. “That’s odd…”

John cursed softly as he held his chest. “Tell me that was the right way to do this…did I just totally screw that up?” He was breathing hard, his damaged lung already taXed now stressed out making his breathing sharp.

Serena sighed and said “I know but…kinda in a strange way it’s really sweet. It shows you guys are going to be great parents if your daughter loves you so much that she was willing to go back in time to save you both?”
She was trying to put a good spin on things to help Kay calm down.

Midnight looked at him and said “I’m not the one to win this war Matias…we all must be the driving force for change…I can’t put myself above the souls here…” she looked out her door and said “I have to do something…” she slowly got up and closed her eyes. “What you see next…please don’t tell anyone about…”

She held her hands out and said in a strong voice as she opened her eyes that were glowing silver. “Rose for your lady of the night…wipe out the dark souls in this place…I command peace!” She waved her hands out and shadows shot out everywhere. Any purists in the building were wrapped in the shadows and vanished without a trace. Those injured had their wounds wrapped and cared by the shadows flying around. It was like the night had fallen in the building alone, black all around.

It took a few min but soon the shadows pulled back and it was silent. Everyone looked around in confusion. Bane had had a purist on him with a silver blade at his neck, now gone, and bane looked around in stunned bewilderment. Dante was trying to get up, his head bleeding and a bullet wound in his leg.

Midnight stood there, panting badly as blood ran from her nose and mouth. She coughed up more blood but spat it out as she swayed on the spot. She looked at Matias then said “please…not a…” then she fell backward.

Midnight fell after him, landing on top of him and grunted. “I am listening! And I’m tired of you treating me like am I vase that will break if looked at wrong!”

Bane growled and said “enough! Get her out of here Matias! I don’t care what you need to do. We have to leave now. Knowing these guys their laying bombs to level the place to hide who they are after. Move!” He went running back to the fight to get more people out.

John tried to get up but cursed and held his wound. Serena jumped up and said “Chas keep him from getting up. I’ll check on her” she got up and went into the hall. She sat by Kay and put her arm around her.

“Kay…it’s going to be alright. Trust me when I say I would give my life to protect you and John…and us getting warnings means this isn’t meant to happen. Something must be messing with our timeline…so fate wants us to fix it. So we will fix it. We will keep you both safe. Don’t worry…I’d like to see anyone get by all of us. Or get to John…”

Scarlet had taken the lead a little as Ash was rubbing her face. She looked around and muttered “anyone else get the feeling we are being watched?” Scarlet nodded slightly and muttered “for about ten minutes now…no idea what it is but keep your eyes peeled…”

Ash had a feeling in her chest like she knew what was watching them but couldn’t put her finger on what it was. Suddenly she cried out, holding her shoulder in pain. Scarlet turned and said “Ash!” Ash fell off her horse, hitting the ground and holding her shoulders. The markings on her shoulder blades were glowing red hot.

Bane cursed and said “boss we are working on it. We have to get you out or it’s going to go worse and on top of that look worse that one of the lords of the court stayed behind to fight instead of getting out”
