Serena was still fast asleep as her shadow moved and Bane appeared. Seeing them both asleep he vanished and reappeared in the hallway and waited for someone to vcome out. Drake was still out cold but was looking a bit better. Still weak.

John was still working, a chart on the wall will pins and string. He was started to talk to himself. He clearly didn’t sleep at all. “Ok…so it all leads back to this…”

John sat at the desk, starting to research and work on what the heck happened with Serena. He worked for a while, his back aching but he pushed the pain away. Soon he started on a lead and started reading from an old tomb while he sat on the ladder by the book case.

Serena nodded weakly and closed her eyes. “You are right…I’m spent…thank you Josh…we saved lives today…I feel it…”

John smiled and said “I would go but I’m not sure if her skin is over stimulated from the rebirth…don’t want to make it worse…her room is next to Serena’s. Good night kiddo…” he stood up and moved to the den, looking out of it.

Serena smiled weakly and nodded. “I’ve changed…something within me…it’s awake now…”

John sighed then said “your mum is more likely in my bed. I can’t sleep in her room since that is where you need to sleep. So I’ll read then sleep in the den alright love?” He smiled, planning on working thru the night as long as he could. For Kay’s sake.

Serena curled into him and said “he kissed my forehead…smiled at me…it’s like he was passing the torch to me…”

John nodded as the couple headed upstairs, clearly worries now. He looked at Fia and said “no…I need to figure out what the heck is going on…you take the bed and I’ll pass out in the den…”

Serena shook her head and said “please stay…with me…today was like a war of stress…I saw my father in there Josh…in the warehouse…”

John walked over and moved in front of Serena who seemed to not be listening. He rested a finger on her forehead and blinked. “She’s getting…a message?” Then Serena stumbled back, breathing hard and falling into Josh. She looked at John and said “Bane…go to the shadows…something is wrong…” Bane nodded and vanished as Serena was shaking.

John said “bed. Now. You are going to have a stroke if this keeps up. Let Bane handle it for now” Serena nodded weakly, clearly not fighting anymore

Serena walked in as Chas was leaving and said “we will take care of things from here Chas, don’t worry” John frowned then said “I’ll text ya in the morning…let me know when you get home alright?”

Bane smiled weakly and said “well…thank you for saying that…now we need to get Serena to bed before she gets worse for wear…”
