Ash sighed and nodded then looked at Carth and said “then I will propose this. You can come with me on my mission to solve this mystery as long as his secret is kept safe. No reports of Carth go back to anyone. If you can promise that then I’ll work with you”

Scarlet nodded and started chewing saying softly “lower back…” it was bruised badly and there was a piece of wood sticking out from the wound close to her spine.

Ash frowned and rubbed her face as she started to get a headache. “So this lady of the dark…is more than the ravings of a mad man…so what is your mission then?”

Scarlet flinched and said weakly “11…my head is killing me and so is my lower back…what happened out there…”

Ash frowned and said “wait, I know of the creatures but what about people attacking others?”

When they got to the doctors location scarlet stirred again and muttered “are we…there yet…”

Ash smiled and said “just follow me. I’ll make sure you’re alright…” she lead him to the huge space the captain had spoken of and cleared the path so he could lay down again. Now they were secure and the two hooded ones had followed Ash turned to look at them and folded her arms.

“Now would you care to explain yourselves?”

Scarlet was trying to stay awake as they went back to the doctors quarters and she muttered weakly “I’m sorry…about all of this…”

Ash nodded and moved to Orion and muttered to him “scarlet is hurt badly. We need to take her somewhere safe. Is the barricks close by? The captain said Carth can rest there?”

She moved to Carth and said “Carth? We need to move…the soldiers have to repair the wall here…can you wake for just a little bit so we can move to a better spot?”

Ash frowned then moved to check scarlet and muttered “she needs aid…was it just ash they would say it was it Asteria?” She looked at the men, a serious look in her eyes. Scarlet leaning on his chest, her eyes half closed.

Scarlet was breathing hard, her eyes dull as she fought to speak “why were you…following…ash…”

Ash pointed to Carth and said “his a dragon…all this time…with me for days…but right now there’s a different problem” she turned and moved to the three hooded ones and she said “you’ve been following me. Why?”

Scarlet nodded weakly and tried to get up saying weakly “and you three are the ones following us right? Well thank you for the help…now I would like to know…why you…” scarlet then fell forward, her vision blurring.

Ash nodded and looked at the doctor saying “it’s Carth…his…whoa I can’t even believe this…”

Scarlet looked at him and blinked a few times and said “Carth…that would explain a few things…I think I have an concussion…”

Ash looked up and said “I’m…not sure. It just happened? I saw him and knew…I can’t explain it…but his fixed now and we need to find him somewhere safe to shift back…” she looked over and saw Scarlet and the three hooded figures.

Scarlet groaned and opened her eyes, seeing the three hooded men there and said weakly “Carth…Ash…I have to…get to them…” she fought to sit up but her head was killing her.

Ash knelt by his head and said softly “Carth? Is it you? Now I understand…it’s okay…I’ll protect you…”
