Serena thought and said “honestly I never thought about it…I figured I’d duel and follow my fathers orders till one day i wouldn’t make it home…”

Adam was still with Seto and Set. He said “maybe the power released when the puzzle was solved has made this land an anchor for similar power…I mean, think about what are the chances of the trials that has faced yugi and Yami…all just happen to appear here?”

Serena looked at him and said “why can’t he do both? I mean, get the shop linked to a gaming company would help wouldn’t it? Give Grandpa security”

Finally odion laughed and said “I think he meant it as a joke Master Marik. Don’t forget Tristen and Joey are known for their love of food”

Adam said “but didn’t Yugi solve the puzzle here?”

Scarlet was limp on the ground, the wind knocked out of her. She stirred a bit when Orion and Altoron were at her side. She tried to open her eyes.

Drake was watching him closely and said “you know that time travel isn’t like it is in the movies right? We don’t just vanish when the timeline rights itself? Fia saw something a while back that triggered all of this…I think that’s what she’s waiting for”

Serena looked down and asked “can you describe it Fia? Maybe I can have Bane or my shadows help” John got up and said “love do you need me?”

Tristen smiled when they were finished and said “okay, now we all need milk and cookies and we are all set”

Adam looked closely at the city and muttered “what if…it’s the city itself that’s making the portals? Maybe the energy built up here could be the draw…look at all that’s happened here?”

Tristen looked at Cora and said “I think Adam told me there were more cushions and such in that back room”

Set nodded and said “I can send my scouts all over the city. It seems the battle is bond to this area…for some reason…” Adam nodded and added “I’ll look into getting the city camera feeds…”

Serena said “I’m not sure…there must be a reason Bane showed you that memory…it must be linked to all of this…” she slipped her shirt back on and said “maybe we can ask Adam when we get back…”

Tristen got up and said “time to find places for everyone to sleep again…”

Adam stood and moved over saying “I have a bad feeling…they both might be keys in his freedom…”

Serena looked around then pulled yami into an alleyway and behind a shed. Then she slipped off her jacket and started unbuttoning her shirt. “Don’t freak out…I can’t show you his with this on…” she pulled her shirt away and turned to show her back. The scar was there. “Dad told me it must be a birth mark…it’s been there my whole life…is this that wound?”

Tristen smiled and said “Yugi will be alright. He just can’t keep using that new skill of his all the time…”

Adam nodded and said “the heart of the king and Serena kept hearing the soul…what if…it’s not just because he wants them gone…what if he needs Yami and Serena?”

Serena listened to him but stopped dead when he talked about the slash. She stared at him and said “on my back? All the way across? From my left shoulder to my right side of my waste?”

Tristen nodded and said “that would be very helpful…” Odion nodded and said “agreed. I believe with some tips from young Yugi you could handle anything thrown at you”

Set bowed his head and said “my apologies. I hadn’t heard your name yet from my scouts…so that means there’s something here he needs that’s more pressing then just a portal…” Adam was deep in thought and said “the heart and soul…wait what did the guy say to you Seto?”
