Soon the wolves were back with the healers who moved to the pharaoh first to treat his weakness. Mana moved to take Zhara, knowing the healers had to help Atem first. Zhara wasn’t looking good by the point. Mana looked up and saw Seth and Mahad and she waved to them. “Master…”

Ana got up with us help and looked herself over. “I don’t think so…just sore from lying on the floor all night…and my head hurts but that’s not too surprising…” she looked up at Damien and said “good morning by the way”

Drake nodded as he held her in place so he could say “we need to talk to Bane alone. His the only one…I think his not letting on all he truly knows. I think he knows what’s coming…”

John said “I think your wrong Chas. If it were fixed…the fates wouldn’t have let those two kids come back in the first place. No…I think over everything those kids have fate behind them…”

Bane nodded and said “of course my pharaoh” he howled loudly and shadow wolves appeared. They took off and ran back, past Mana as she ran out to help Atem. “Pharaoh! Shadow!”

The biggest of the wolves found Seth and Mahad and barked. “The pharaoh needs your aid! Follow me at once!” The wolves found healers as well and was leading soldiers back to the scene.

Mana landed by Atem and helped him sit up. “I have you my pharaoh. Lean on me till the others arrive. Is Zhara…” Zhara wasn’t moving, pale and bleeding all over. A weak breath was coming from her, her body shaking.

Serena smiled and said “thanks love…that helps a lot…” she moved to sit on a chair to get a better look and wrap it better. Drake nodded softly and said “thanks…I didn’t think seeing her like that would hit me so hard…”

John nodded and said “and the fact she isn’t talking means…either I really screw up and in my mistake I lose Kay…or something happens to Kay to the point where I can’t recover from it from how Fia talks of the future me…” John pushed then said “but with how Drake is reacting to seeing Serena hurt…I think she is involved as well…”

It took some time but soon the shadows calmed down and soon just Zhara stood there, panting before him. She looked at him, tears in her eyes. “I’m sorry my pharaoh…I have failed you…dearly…” then she fell backwards away from him, her body beaten and soul weak.

Mana had been watched from the edge of the clearing, waiting to jump in and help where she could. Not noticing one of the others behind her she muttered “Zhara…my pharaoh let me help…call for us…”

Dante shook his head and got up, looking around and said “help her up and make sure she’s not hurt. I’ll check the seals and make sure nothing was triggered” he walked around as Ana tried to get onto her feet on her own.

Serena sighed and nodded “alright…for his sake…” Drake was looking at the wall of books, his eyes not seeing them.

John nodded and said “seems we need to figure out what the kids came back for…if we saved Bane and stopped that mess…what’s the thing that changes everything?”
