Dante drank the blood till his eyes cleared and he gasped and let go, breathing hard. “Astra…knock me out. You have to put me under…”

Aura paused as Jeb ran to find Bane. “What do you mean not normal?” Bane was barely holding on as Jeb found him. His eyes were dull and his skin was cold.

Ash had been talking but fighting to stay awake as she did. She looked up and smiled at the slime. “Hey Chi…you look way better now…”

Dante looked confused then did as she said and bit into her hand. Her blood hit his mouth and his eyes glowed red for a moment.

Aura had been opening the hatch and said “Jacob where is the general? What happened?”

Bane groaned as he held his head and the spinning was getting worse. “Dang it…over did it…can’t…shake it…”

Dante shook his head and said “it’s not like…that…what I’ve seen this night…you two are the answer…I know it…and I won’t let either of you be taken too soon…I won’t…” his hand shook one hers, clearly a kind of shock hitting his system.

Bane held his head, the yard before him swimming as he nodded softly. “I think…your right…but as long as your alright…then it will be worth it…”

Aura pointed I the direction the other pair had gone and said “his heat is normally really hot but it’s dropped down fast. Jacob is with him but…”

Dante nodded and said “I know…that was all reflex…I can’t let you risk yourself in that way…your too important to this world…you…and Ash…are the keys to saving the people…” he looked dazed as he reached for her hand.

Bane leaned forward a bit and said “might…have to…” he stumbled back and his leg buckled a bit as the world titled on him.

Aura frowned and said “we better check on the general…”

Dante was panting weakly, his eyes out of focus. “That…was…unwise of…me…I can’t…move…”

Bane nodded absentmindedly, out of focus. “I’ve died many times on the battle field…but I’m not allowed to die like that…” he stumbled and grabbed onto a piece of scrap to keep upright. He had never had this problem on the battle field. But maybe bleeding three times in one day was his limit now?

Ash smiled and started telling him about all the bots at the shop, and what they could do. Aura smiled and said softly “I think they are okay now…who should we check on next?”

Yugi laughed and said “I’d be lying if I said we didn’t need the extra hand. You saw how things get”

Dante grabbed her hand and said “no Astra. It’s too risky to use that much right now. I know your skills. I know your limits. I’ll be fine just healing on my own…” he had jumped up to grab her hand, and this was a terrible idea. Pain hit him like the blast all over again and he grunted, his eyes glazed over as he fell to his knees.

Bane opened his eyes when he stepped back, but his eyes were dull as he said “couldn’t…not help…had to make things…easier…” he looked at the vampire, his vision blurring as he asked “did…you get…enough?”

Ash nodded and moved a little so she was more relaxed. “I’m here chi…let’s see, I can tell you about all my bots?”

Dante groaned and said “and my contracts with the dark realm aren’t helping…this is going to be a long heal unless I can think of something to fix this…”

Bane turned so he could have more space to bite and he closed his eyes. He had forgotten how it felt to be bitten and drank from. He kept still the best he could, hiding the fact with the wound blood loss he wasn’t in full. But if it helped his would give all his blood.

Ash sighed and rested a hand on the glass. “Is there anything I can do to help him more?”
