Deadpool: Silent Cries

Tony stared at the bubble and chuckled darkly and held his as his chest hurt. “I know…the feeling…all too well…” he backed up a little, his head pounding and his ears ringing. He had to calm down but it wasn’t working. He was closer to blacking out in a moment.

Wade nodded and pulled Trevor up into his arms and turned. “We got a sound proof in this place?! The kid needs one now!”

Wolf rubbed her back and said “there ya go love…everything is okay. We got ya. You’re safe now. Nothing to be afraid of. Just breathe. That’s all you have to worry about. Just deep breathes and get your bearings…”

Wade nodded and moved so Trevor was leaning against his shoulder, the teens eyes partly open and dull. Wade moved a bit to give the doc room and said “his a mutate. His hearing and sound waves stuff…strong sound waves. What’s wrong with him?”

Wolf turned and ran over faster than the others could. She waved her hands and shadows shot up and wrapped around the girl. She was in darkness now and Wolf came in and smiled. “It’s okay. I’m not a fan of white either. Makes my heart go nuts. Thanks to being hurt bad enough I was in a coma for a while and had to recover slowly. It’s okay. They won’t touch you. I won’t let them” she moved to Maddie and pulled her into a hug, her claws back in her hands. She was taller which helped as she said “hear my heart beat? Just focus on that. Reminds that you’re alive and so am I. No tests. No needles. Just you and me in my little shadow bubble. It’s okay…”

Tony saw the shadows jump up and said “Riza!” He thought his girl had been pulled into it and panic hit him. Was it another portal taking her from him again? He grabbed his chest and said “Jarvis…is that…another gateway?”

Trevor was breathing hard, shaking against Wade who looked to Maddie and said “here hun, help me get him to that chair there. I think the magic waves messed with his ears too much…” but when Wade tried to help Trevor up he gasped as the portal was shut. He swayed a bit and saw Maddie’s face and said “it’s okay…they won’t…hurt…” then he fell forward, Deadpool catching him in his arms. “Strange! Something is wrong over here!”

Tony heard the yelling and got up fast, worried and starting to get panicked again. “Riza? Honey what’s going on?” He stumbled away from the doctor, looking for Riza as Wade was holding Trevor up. He cursed and started to go to help but his legs shook and he stumbled. His vision blurred as he tried to catch himself. “Riza…”

Wolf paused then moved back a little and released her bone claws, the two claws now coated in her own hardened shadow. “Guess we have that in common…”

Ash smiled and nodded “thank you for taking care of me. My head gets so busy I forget what’s around me most of the time…” she headed for a table to sit at and Bane muttered “protein drinks…I keep a cooler in her work shop. Also bottles of sealed water. She won’t take drinks in public…”

Dante nodded and said “you should know it…for I spoke of this being when you were younger…for it was the major character in my own nightmares of the past…The White Fear…Do you recall it?”

Half way thru she finally looked down and looked at chi. “What the heck?” But she was smiling and Bane nodded softly, having taken two plates and making sure the second was well balanced. He was goin to make her eat that plate too but Chis actions were too funny and sweet to get in the way of.

Beta sat by her and tilted his head. His eyes glowed a bit and nodded “the heir’s nightmares…a scary tale in deed…you know of the beast?” Dante looked at the wolf then said “maybe…I pray I’m wrong. Truly…” he looked to Peter then said “Tell our lady what you saw…she needs to know”

Ash nodded at the pair and started to dish up food but didn’t get a lot. Bane watched with concern, knowing she didn’t eat a lot when she was thinking too much.

Dante nodded softly and said “I’m sorry for this…sometimes the past comes up without warning…” then he heard Astra and turned to look at her. “My lady…I’m alright…just..”

Tony sat on the bed and held his head saying “guys I’m really fine…this is not a big deal…”

Wade looked around and saw Trevor hold his ears and ran over, catching the kid. “Hey doc? I think he needs ya more than she does” Trevor was flinching at his ear that were buzzing and ringing from the portal magic.

Wolf looked over and paused, not sure to tell him or play it off. But she remember the advice from Batman so she moved back to him. “My hands…they hurt sometimes…the heated gloves I normally have got busted on a mission in the water…haven’t had a chance to replace them”

Tony walked thru but his shaking was getting worse. Deadpool noted it and frowned a bit.

Trevor led her thru the portal and said “amazing…” but going thru the portal itself caused his ears to react and he gasped, holding them. He stumbled forward, holding his ears and falling to one knee.

Wolf came back and smiled at him. “Got it. Shall we?” She moved to walk thru the portal and set her gear to the side out of the way and looked around. She was rubbing her hands, the bone claws starting to ache again.
