Fury’s hand clenched one final time and he kept his gauntleted hand balled into a fist, the energy causing the fingers to pulse as if something was trying to escape the knuckled prison. He looked dead at Kanitah as they faced each other again in one of those many natural pauses that tended to occur, when two opponent’s couldn’t kill each other quickly enough.

“Not mindless, little man.” Fury muttered, staring him down. “You don’t understand, you know nothing of me.” He told Kanitah, his eyes narrowing as he considered his possible replies. Fury wasn’t a stupid man, nor was he particularly brilliant, but the effect of the Void on his emotions drove him to a near constant rage which made clear thought difficult. Trying to formulate some sort of justification for his actions was both difficult and in Fury’s mind pointless, there was some truth to the assumption that he was a psychopath.

He looked at his left palm in front of his face for a moment, ever concentrating on the energy build up in his right so as to not release it by accident. He thought about his actions, what was he doing exactly?

“All my power? It’s not enough.”

“I need your power Kanitah, when I take it I’ll be strong enough.” He stopped talking abruptly, surprised that he had even addressed his foe by name, forgetting exactly when he had learned it, possibly when the smaller man announced himself or some-such in the past. Fury reached out his right hand and pointed at Kanitah, the energy still bubbling in his condensed fist.

“Get ready.” He muttered, walking forward.
Oh ho oh, a vamp that likes nature? Luckily this isn't Kei, or he'd burn it down.

lmao.

Yeah, burning down his forest would probably piss him off. Kei's a little too versatile for a Vampire though, I'd smoosh him with Fury instead.
I'm actually just glad to be able to pull Adrian out of my documents, he's a much better character than I gave him credit for and it's a shame he only got used in one RP over two years ago.

I haven't changed his sheet at all, so it's a funny coincidence that I wrote him as a hunter with a love for nature, giving me an advantage in a forest environment.
Don't forget about this ;(
I don't know why, but I suspect this will be an interesting fight, these two have a good match-up of skills.
The Vampire had nocked another arrow to the string, after drawing it across the top of his hand and drawing blood, even as Alphonse made good on his escape. He had eight arrows left. Alphonse had nimbly deflected his assault, though Adrian had expected no less of such an opponent, to be struck down by his first strike would be woefully anticlimactic. Still, what Alphonse knew of fighting Vampire kind was questionable, considering his decision to run further into the denser and shadier forest, rather than closing the distance and forcing him into the light of the clearing. Still, Adrian was never one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

“The Hunt awaits me,
What worthy prey I now chase
Fleet of hand and foot.”

It wasn’t particularly comfortable to run with the string drawn, so he loosened it and held his bow low pointed to the ground, the arrow still primed with the soft whispering of his poison spell. With his supernatural qualities it would be a thing of immense ease to re-draw it and shoot when opportunity presented itself, but for now he had to establish line of sight. Adrian immediately headed him off while keeping to the edge of the clearing, running at a straight diagonal to come in about twenty feet behind Alphonse as he ran into the forest, showing surprising speed for a human, as far as the Vampire could tell.

However, Alphonse was at a significant disadvantage here. Adrian knew the forest well, three hundred years as a hunter in both life and death had taught him how to move both quickly and silently through the forest. This was aided now by his experienced application of muffle, a simple spell which none-the-less silenced his footsteps, making him somewhat harder to detect. The Vampire had no way to know that his foe was detecting his energy through the medium of Chi, but for that moment hiding his presence was unnecessary regardless, he hid his footsteps out of sheer habit.

Alphonse had gained a slight lead by not having to avoid patches of sunlight, but Adrian had still drawn close enough that as the nimble warrior darted between trees, he finally ran out of luck and a clear shot presented itself. Such was the nature of the forest, it could be protection for those who sought it, but not forever.

Adrian loosed his arrow from a little over twenty feet away as Alphonse headed towards a tree. He would have to slow down to avoid the obstruction, giving Adrian’s shot its best chance as it flew through the air with unerring accuracy, once again aiming for dead centre, but this time at his back, as it was the easiest target for the Vampire.
Tier 4, Mid powered

It is currently 5 o'clock.

At 10 I will begin writing up the posts for @MelonHead and @Skallagrim

I am currently reformatting my Character Deposit to include a bit of lore behind the magic and superpowers in my multiverse.

So, you're going to start now?

It's ten after all, or ten past ten to be specific.

Oooooh timezoneeessss
You can also use the anti-hero. Its not a villain per se, but neither is it a true hero.

but one important thing to remember. Unless you're going for the comedic, you won't see a villain that considers himself/herself to be evil. Virtually all proper villains have some sort of justification for what they do. It might not make sense or seem right to the "heroes", but that doesn't make it less justified in the Villain's mind.

Not sure I agree with you there, as the thread title mentions Vampires. Now, Vampires are probably one of the most diluted and often times terrible and overused concepts for a character, but I would argue they can easily fit into the category of a villain that considers themselves to be evil. Though it highly depends on what sort of lore you're going for, in the most stereotypical format many vampires hate themselves for their actions. Some also lay the blame at the hands of the Vampire which turned them, or the Devil, or their own Bestial nature, so it's not black and white so to speak.

Also, I'd argue that any character which fits into Chaotic Evil is definitely aware that it's evil, as they commit terrible actions for its own sake, basically for shits and giggles. Neutral Evil is the realm of assassins and others who have no particular limiter on their actions but neither any particular drive to do things without proper motive, alongside Lawful Evil these are the characters I'd agree with your assertion of their self perceptions of being 'the good guy' so to speak.

Just my two cents, for whatever it's worth.

As to my favourite villains, I love the ultimate utilitarian pragmatist villains that pop up ever so rarely, my favourite example of this being Ozymandias from Watchmen, aided somewhat by the success of his plans. They're as Ellri said villains with very clear and important motives, they become villains simply because they are willing to do the things that the heroes won't, or because of a certain ideology that puts them into contention with the 'good guys' but in the end a little part of you wonders if they weren't right all along.
I was just joking, just a little bored and wanted to kick the OOC a little, deal with real life first.
