Since joining the Arena I've thought of tonnes of abilities that seem very normal initially but when explored further actually make them far too overpowered to face up against. At this point I quite often find myself working backwards, after having thought of a character type I then have to work out how to make them -more- beatable for more of a challenge.
No the strongest type would be a ranged type who flies. Like wimds character in the first way of the warrior tournament. After going through anime again recently, I've noticed the most powerful characters in anything are usually untouchables with some powerful ranged capacity. Which makes sense really, we advanced the direction of warfare to favor distance and firepower.

Whole reason we use guns now and fighter jets are the most potent weapons on any battle field.

I think being a speedster would cover even more bases than flying though. Wind's character was indeed powerful, but it didn't move -that- fast and so could be pretty easily taken down with a powerful (or more importantly) quick enough ranged attack. Unless they have the ability to negate certain ranged attacks upon them like a character I encountered in the first round of the most reason tournament.

When you're talking potent ranged attacks, being in the air can actually be a weakness, there isn't much to hide behind in the sky.
Yeah, that's fair enough. I'm still fairly certain the single strongest character archetype for Arena is a speedster with a powerful ranged attack.

Never much cared for foghting ranged Archer tule characters.

Speaking which, to any one open I'm probably going to finish a new character I have been working on by Tuesday. May as well see if anyone available to test her out. The first of many BA normals.

As opposed to those pesky melee archer (tule?) characters.
I wonder what fury will do now. Also, the Rylla now have access to pymn technology. 0.0

I wonder what consequences this will have.

Hmm, well there were two combatants in a different thread that were exposed to Dreamer energy, so Fury might hunt them down and kill them.

As for the stolen technology, I was planning on talking to LeeRoy about what potential benefits could be gained from extracting Kanitah's World Machine, if it's even possible.
Freed up space for a new 1v1 fight finally after a hard fought battle (probably the longest I've ever fought that I can remember, I've usually killed my opponent or been killed long before this point) so if anyone is free and feels like getting bitched-slapped by the champ, let me know. The Clockwork Man is available, or if you have a specific character of your own in mind one of my two WIP characters might be suitable, plus it gives me an excuse to put the work in and finish them.
The end.

Well that was something.

It was definitely a long fight for a 1v1.
The spear pulsed in his hands as he looked down upon his mortally stricken foe, sending one last wave of energy from the point into Kanitah’s heart to effectively destroy it. By all accounts it was probably a cleaner death than the smaller warrior would have expected from a brute like Fury. For his part the Fireen looked down on the laughing man until the end, stony face betraying nothing. He was breathing heavily, but by all accounts he had come out of the confrontation better than he expected. He stood, wincing and heavily favouring his un-injured side, turning away from Kanitah as he hobbled a few steps clear of his foe.

His hands strayed to his wrist, activating some device hidden there which seemed to serve some long range communications purpose.

“I’m done here, send in the salvage squad.” He paused for a moment, the energy-scars on his face glowing briefly. “When the device is removed bury the body where it lies, leave some marker there.”

“Don’t question me.”
I suppose it's because the setting is so different, before we were on a classic adventure style escort mission (though I don't believe any of us actually realised) where-as this is an espionage/sneaky mission with different skills required.

Also, I imagine Forsoff doing something else with the resistance further north.
Is Judgement wearing, like, normal full plate armour? Is there a picture or some form of reference for his appearance?

Also, to get everyone's approval: I am making a minor cosmetic edit to my previous post, not taking out the cartwheel or anything, but moving the conversation between Itsuki and her blades to my upcoming post, so things make more sense and the whole thread reads better.

If everyone approved, including our judge, I'll make the edit.

I'm also making my post right now so a lot kinda depends on this decision.

I have no issue with cosmetic changes if you're essentially cutting out everything that happened as if assuming Judgement did nothing.

There is a picture for reference in Judgement's CS, he is not wearing normal plate armour. It would probably be more akin to something futuristic built in a medieval style, due to it being form fitting and without the straps and other obvious weak spots of normal mail. It also impedes his movement somewhat less, though that't mostly due to his insane strength, there are still some physical movements that are impeded because of the physical stucture of the mail. For example, he couldn't easily put his hand behind his back due to the width of the armour around his wrist and back.
