Tentatively interested.
I've made a grand total of 3 DnD characters before. One is godawful, one is not a core book race, and one is not a core book class, so I'll have to think about reworking them or making another character first.

In my mind you can push one away for a time, if that, but inevitably it wins. Though that in and of itself is a false dichotomy, as it assumes the entity in question was ever fighting or struggling to begin with. It wasn't naturally, that's just a lie we tell ourselves to sleep soundly at night.
