<Snipped quote by MikkishtheLeprechaun>

I personally think evil ominous wizard towers are a bit cliche...what im thinking is, perhaps the reputation is not entirely deserved.

Perhaps you are right. Maybe it was a tower of innocent wizards, attempting to do good for the world through bettering their magic. When one day, a few attempted to contact gods to end a plague or drought somewhere, but those gods were not as benevolent as they assumed, and so the tower was tainted and the once-good wizards became mindless, malicious minions.

Just an idea though, I won't edit it further and will just see what becomes of it XD
So looks like the mages tower gets the first laugh.

It just came to mind, if there are historical inaccuracies, shouldn't someone make the truth about it?
Can I introduce a concept? Its not really a location, but you can kind of go there.

The idea is that everyone experiences and sees things differently. When something horrible happens somewhere, a person keeps a horrible idea of the place as they associate that place with the bad memory. For example, if you had, some time ago, lived in say, New York, and you were attacked, and something very horrible happened, you would have a nightmarish memory of New York.

But my idea is that its not just a bad thought in the person's mind. People, through ritual, are actually able to physically go to this person's nightmare version of New York. Ya know, eternal night or crimson sky, malevolent scenery, perhaps lava, populated with monsters that symbolize the person's bad memory.

Think Silent Hill, or Bloodborne.
John paused, looking around the room at everyone who seemed to have ignored what he said about mercenaries.

Of course. Maybe they think he is just crazy.

He would deal with this later, but first, he decided chicken and rice balls were here, so why not eat? He grabbed some chicken and a rice ball. As he at, he couldn't shake the feeling the chicken would be better if it were raw and running away on two legs.

But luckily for Alex, John's strategy did not involve going in right away for a stab. As it appeared Alex was charging to attack, John quickly dive rolled out of the way to get around behind Alex, minding Alex' tail as he did so. The worst that would happen to either one of them was Alex would charge way past John, possibly ramming right into the light pole John was standing in front of.

This raptor that was charging them made John think back to the wolf men he once fought. When he fought these beings, he rarely used a gun. It was typically a melee fight where he was trying to get at the creature's neck.

He would need his ammo for anyone in the area who would be shooting at him. Best not to waste ammo when he had no idea where he was or how long until he would be getting any more.

John drew his knife as the raptor got closer. For most humans this was an insane thing to do, but John had the agility, the resilience, and even the strength to go hand to hand with a creature like a raptor.
