He was first discovered wandering naked in Albuquerque, NM staggering across Alameda Blvd at about 0200 on Saturday June 21, 2025. Now the good news is that there was a hospital - United Healthcare - just across the highway. And as it was in the wee hours he managed not to get hit by a car. He did, however, collapse there. An approaching car had seen him and stopped in time.
He had no ID. His fingerprints weren’t on file. Noone could figure out who he was. The hospital determined that he was malnourished - though not chronically. His body was covered with scars - from stab and gunshot wounds - as well as whip marks over his whole back. Those were old wounds - at least several years old. He also had suffered very recent electrical burns in spots over his whole body. And so he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
When he awoke he had no idea who he was. He didn’t like the name John Doe. That was for a dead person. John Smith also sounded plain. He ended up choosing a more unique name - Jonathan Rhand. Now for the really odd thing. They tried to run an MRE on him and the machine blew up, arced and damned near killed him. Noone knows why. The MRE was utterly destroyed, physically torn apart.
The hospital will treat him. But they will only do so much. He isn't eligible for health insurance, can't pay rent or get a driver's license. He can't get a job or apply for unemployment benefits. He appears to be in his mid to late 20’s.
Your Character
You can be a doctor, nurse, ambulance tech, even a police officer / detective or ... whatever. I do ask that your character at least not have problems with the law or a strong potential for it. The medical and law enforcement options were only suggested based on the location.
I will ask for a CS with a decent image (no animated gifs).
Setting and Plot

Now unlike the secretary in this video, you don’t have the perfect job lined up. But you did run into a headhunter that gave you her card. SHE specializes in finding critical employees for helpless employers and negotiates salary and benefits. The job she finds you is one of working for DHS as a civilian contractor to assist a two time Nobel prize winning scientist - who doesn’t think he needs a secretary. However, HE isn’t the one hiring you. HE can’t fire you. And as many meetings as he has been late to or had to ‘wing it’ he clearly needs help. The man always wears the same clothes - well new versions of the same thing he wore yesterday. Okay … he has a butler for that.

Isla Nublar
In 2028, Dr Duncan Moran disappeared while vacationing on his 160 foot solar sailing yacht in the South Pacific. He was a two time Nobel Prize recipient (Physics and Chemistry) and a multibillionaire. He was a natural survivor. And he began with excellent resources. Food was plentiful.
He has been missing now for 4 years. It would now be summer of 2032.
Character
I am looking for a female to get lost in a storm at sea and shipwreck on the island. (Alternatively she could be piloting a small plane.) She should be alone - ie no passengers, pilots, etc. She would have been travelling under hew own power.
That said, this should be an adventurous girl, strong willed. Some sort of professional skill would be appropriate. She should have had some sort of career (or perhaps come from wealth). She had to afford her means of travel somehow.
Duncan doesn’t care for blondes or hispanics. (This has more to do with bad events in his life as opposed to a prejudice.)
Setting and Plot
Welcome to Isla Nublar. It is one island in a group of islands that have clearly remained uncharted. It also has an ecology all its own as it is home to all sorts of wildlife never seen before.

This RP will ignore the sequel and go with the more realistic scenario - minus the aliens having a major base in Africa. That is going to be mostly hunted down and destroyed by Aussies using what precious fuel they have available. Still an ongoing process after over 24 years.
The initial invasion was in 1996. This story will play out in an altered timeline starting in July of 2020, 24 years after the war. Australia is now the leader of the free world. Unfortunately they can’t save the whole world - not they they aren’t trying. But with such limited fuel resources restoring order is an insurmountable task.
Australian Foreign Legion
The Aussie Foreign Legion has been formed, taking elements from surviving military forces with two primary missions. The first to to kill any remaining bugs and collect any alien tech for analysis back in Sydney. The second is to secure resources - primarily fuel. But they also pull escort duty for things like seed shipments and rations to reduce rioting.
Characters
You will be running members of an AFL unit. Your ranks should fall into their Army enlisted ranking system. There would be little need for Navy. There are very few Air Force left. Those are rarely put in harm’s way. There won’t be much use for tank operators in this RP either as you will be on assignment in either Africa or America.
Setting and Plot
This RP will open up to a mission to the old USA southwest. If you watched the videos, you should be aware that this region is mostly devoid of human life as people have migrated to the central US for food. But there have been rumors of bug activity in the region. Most interesting has been sonic booms heard in the region.
Your secondary job is to oppose activity by drug cartels moving in to seize control of old oil pumping stations. You have already been assisting the remnants of the old US military to maintain control over the Texas oil fields and try to get them up and running.

Please note that this is an ADVANCED RP. I am looking for committed members who can manage 3-5 posts per week. I would be surprised if that is actually necessary as you’ll have to also wait on responses. But the point is I don’t want people waiting a week for a response. That is like trying to read a book at less than a page a week. A 200 page book would take - what - 4 years to read? (I usd to devour a book like that in an afternoon or two.)
I also detest posts that rehash the previous person’s post. Add something to the story. Posting nothing but what you character thinks about another’s post is a waste. The reaction is what will give them something to respond to.
In other words, I am looking for strong writers. You will never improve if you don’t try.
