Bio

5/2022: [Explicitive language] What I thought would be a week or two long phase of AFK-ness turned into two [almost three] months. Totally my bad for this happening. If you are reading this and have/had an RP going which still interests you, please let me know.

3/2022: Barely treading the waters of life right now - Replies will be much slower than usual. I'm extremely sorry and appreciate any patience and understanding offered from my RP Partners.

Welcome! I'm a girl who has been RPing and doing a lot of other nerdy things for 20 years. PM if you want to know even more!

I try not to just disappear but clearly have failed in this before. Real life gets the better of me and depression+diabetes+anxiety have a tendency to sap time away. Best way to reach me is Discord, touch base if you notice I haven't responded. I truly appreciate those who have helped keep me interested through OOC conversation!

I am also:
• Working Full-Time and struggling to maintain decent blood sugars
• Female, poly, demi/pan, and typically very difficult to offend
• A video gamer (primarily WoW, STO, ESO, Fallout4, 40k:Inquisitor - PC & XB1)
• A rennie (two guilds; First is Landscknecht group called Heiligensturm and the second is a Baroque French Privateer group called Clan Dark Sail)
• A Warhammer player/painter (gasp! 40k armies include Eldar/Ynnari and Thousand Sons::AoS Gloomspite Gitz *squee*)
• A seamstress (historical clothing and quilting primarily)
• A cook! Well, home cook. Recipes are more like guidelines anyways

Melissa's hazel gaze held Creed's blue one as her heart raced and her cheeks flushed. He was no longer an awkward teenager, then again neither was she. "You... you're not dead?"

Blinking a couple of times, she pushed him away as she rose back up to her feet and ignored the shattered coffee mug. "Six years, Creed! Years!"

She couldn't put any other words together, completely caught not only off-guard but also a bit flabbergasted. The redhead threw her hands up in the air, huffing, and shaking her head at her old friend. Her presumed dead friend not actually dead and with no contact whatsoever to let her know otherwise in six years!

Glancing at the children, as that's what they both still were in his eyes, Alek nodded to Jim and motioned towards another aisle. It was likely best to leave the pair to reconnect without on-lookers.
"I have all records of the town since its creation, though it never was Native lands. From what I can tell of the records, it was avoided by the Native American Tribes. Should have been a fair warning to the settlers that something was up, but here we still stand."
Kithri cheered up a little as Vivian complemented her skill in battle. It had not gone as planned, but the halfling was still proud of having taken down at least one on her own. She had offered a smile to the Elf and his inquiry, noting that she was simply observing while getting acquainted to the group. She conversed a touch about her hometown, having left there at a young age it would be clear that others were more familiar with its details than she.

In the morning they continued onward, the elf far ahead as the two humans and halfling followed along. Kithri hummed quietly as they strolled along, nearly having to run to keep pace with her longer legged companions. When the words begun to get exchanged between the barbarian and the elf, the halfling's tune ended. She kept her distance, frowning at their behavior but figuring that it was better that they have it out now rather than in the midst of a fight against the actual enemy.

"Of course, please come in." Alek answered as he opened the door a bit further for the pair and stepped aside.

The redhead's gaze leveled on the figures as her father stepped to the side at Jim's request to enter. She was confused for a flash of a moment, it couldn't have been her childhood friend. He was dead. Then those blue eyes met her own hazel gaze. The books and coffee cup she'd been holding slipped and collided with the ground with a loud crash and a splatter of hot liquid.

Alek abandoned the door, and the guests, immediately to rush over to his daughter.
"Are you ok?"

Melissa blinked as her father neared, his presence filling her viewpoint and snapping her mind back. Hot. Ow. Her mind hissed as the recognition that she had dropped the items which had been in her hands hit. Her eyes went wide as a flush of color rushed her cheeks. "Y-yea, sorry. I.."

Melissa took a few steps back, kneeling down just as her father had to beginning cleaning up. She lowered her head to fetch shards of broken ceramic as her father tended to the books. Neither were attempting to be rude to the newly arrived guests, though some would have considered their abandonment of polite conversation to attend to books to be impolite. Creed would recall how much the books meant to the father-daughter pair, how proud they were to continue on their inherited position as the keepers of history within Warlington.
@Dark Cloud Thanks, I'm working on it and writing does help :)
So what was the posting schedule again?

Once a week, at least unless something comes up which I would tell you guys about. It's only been 3-days since the first IC post and IRL has been kicking my ass.

I'm working on the next IC post as work and mental focus allow
Well dang, I'm stuck until moon posts.

<Snipped quote by Kenshi>

Moon, you didn't answer mine

You rolled a nat20, there's not much to answer for that. lol any further detail on the successfulness of the act, beyond what you included in your post, will be noted in the upcoming IC :)

The library was indeed still closed when Jim and Creed approached, though most in the town knew the father and daughter pair that maintained the shelves often worked outside the actual hour of operation. The bolted lock switched back with a click as the door handled turned, Aleksander's half conscious expression faded to one of surprise as he registered that the young man before him was the same young boy that had been a dear friend of his daughter's.

"Creed? Is, is that really you?" The man was shocked, truly shocked.

Within the shop, Melissa came around a corner with a cup of coffee in one hand and a few books in the other. Creed? She couldn't have heard the name correctly. Creed was dead, just like his sister Molly. The creature had been greedy that year and took them both from her life. She stood almost as still as a statue, certain that this was a dream or that her father had been mistaken. She couldn't see past his broad frame and the solid entry door just yet.

Petragar Stoneweaver

The ashen skinned dwarf's brow furrowed as she heard the merchant say they had none of the missing guard's possessions. Was there not a bunk house or barracks or was it simply a matter that the guard disappeared with all of his possessions? The information was not adding up. She had her thoughts, thoughts that for now she would keep to herself. She wanted to see what the elf's tracking magic was able to provide in way of evidence before she spoke her mind. Words once spoken, after all, were not easily taken back.

Petragar handed the parchment containing the contract details back to Astor. He had been correct, there was little in way of the contract details that would specifically call for a kidnapping or even death threats. The squabble within Arskel itself however, that information the dwarf paid extra attention to.

Rosarina Loraven

Before the red haired elf could answer any of the comments made by the others, a wind rustled and spooked her steed. Focusing on keeping the animal from breaking his reigns and running off, she let out a sigh of relief when the winds calmed. Turning to face the center of the grove once more, she kept a gloved hand wrapped around Kalondar's reigns. Two days, that was all and the human cityscape of Polis had fallen? Her lips curved downward in a frown as her brows furrowed above narrowed ember eyes. How in all the Gods graces were they supposed to stop a dragon that had already laid waste, and claim, over the humans?

Rosarina turned her head to look to Kassandra then Vivian as the other two women spoke, nodding her agreement with their questions. Why had it been them, why hadn't anything been done sooner? She sighed softly as she turned her attention back to the spirit. She didn't think it necessary to repeat questions already asked by the others and thus remained silent to await the answers.
