@kingkonrad Oh I think as long as the dragon's actual rider is present, the non-Targ passengers have a decent chance of making it out alive.

@Greenie Me too. Let's just say said conflict may or may not erupt over the course of the adventure scenario I'm planning.

@Asura Them Ironborn and their progressive culture amirite?
@Greenie This time with boats!

@agentmanatee Look forward to reading it!

@Masterkeun They know all of those things since they have access to all manner of histories and treatises on dragons written by maesters and other historians

@kingkonrad It really depends. As far as I can tell in the actual series, a potential rider's success is greatly influenced by how much valyrian blood they have. The only non-Targ riders in Westeros history however have been Velaryons and I think the current Targs would want to keep their monopoly on what basically amounts to WMDs.

So a non-Targ and non-Velaryon might be able to ride a dragon but their chances of ever having the opportunity to do so are incredibly slim. Especially because the Targs hoard their eggs and would be unwilling to bestow them on anyone outside the family. You'd have to find another dragon egg somehow, hatch it somehow, and then tame the beast somehow.

After manatee posts, I'll probably start working on a mini-update that doesn't include the evening festivities but will have the opening rounds of the grand melee. So all the fighters might have an opportunity to get fights in there before me and Nightwing finish up with the later phase of the melee.
@Asura Wildling scum.

@Masterkeun Yeah unfortunately Robb had no children in this RP due to the Spicers and their plotting but Jeyne Westerling is alive.

@Greenie That is certainly true, there's a certain amount of fun in the beheadings, battles, and assassinations.

@Asura As far as I can tell, kinslaying is only a taboo if it involves close family (up to and including first cousins) and anyone who bears the same name as you. If you're second cousins and further without the name however, it seems to be open season. Robert killed Rhaegar and they were second cousins.

So if any of the bastards killed each other they would probably be considered kinslayers but I think the Ironborn probably have a more relaxed view of it, or at least Euron's son definitely would.
@Asura True, and that would be the tragedy of Game of Thrones.

Old and new rivalries and blood feuds arise between the nobles to be carried out by their children, causing suffering and destruction. Blood feuds that last decades if not centuries.

The confrontation should be cool at least though.
They'd be first cousins once removed. Removed means a generation older or younger.

Second cousins are children of your parent's first cousins.

@Greenie Nice post! Was a pleasure to read, I really like how Taria and Theon's relationship is developing. I just realized we're in the adorable family phase of the story like in the main series. We all know what happened after D:

Hmm, I'm gonna be interested in seeing what happens when these Greyjoy bastards face off with the Greyjoy bastard who is reaving all over the place.
@Asura That'd definitely be a cool character. Though I don't think Victarion would have had a rock wife (no time) but maybe he took the dusky woman as a salt wife? I'm not sure if his son by any salt wives would be a Pyke or a Greyjoy. I'm leaning towards the former.

Also finished Aemon's sheet.
I'll start on his right now and let you know, then we can get to working.

I'm thinking the oath could have been sworn when Aemon came of age at sixteen and inherited the Lordship of Dragonstone.
@Asura That is entirely my bad, I have been putting off making sheets for their children.

Aemon just turned 25 and is a lot like Jon. Conscientious, honorable, just, and a natural leader. But he also has Dany's passion and strength of personality, as well as her compassion for the suffering of others. He's not really a very social person or one for the arts, intellectual pursuits, or most noble distractions. He's the more martial type and spends most of his time training his men or overseeing Dragonstone. Just got married to a childhood friend, Julianna Lannister, daughter of Sansa and Tyrion. Currently in King's Landing for the wedding.
Well Dany is quite a bit older and changed a lot from the girl she was in the main series so perhaps she won't be super insufferable to you haha. And at least there's Jon.

The Crown Prince Aemon is the heir, so it'd make the most sense for him to have a rider sworn to him.
