Gaah. Of course the IC happens during the couple hours I'm off doing something else. >.< I'll get on it right away.

Eh, I'm not gonna throw a hissy fit over it or anything. Still got 5 hours till work.

Because sleep is for the mentally and psychologically healthy.
Sweat dripping down his body, Isamu racked the weights he'd been lifting, his breath slow and heavy. Sixty kilos. Not bad, just above his body weight. Yeah, that was about right. Stretching his arms and removing his grip gloves, the young man took a deep breath before moving over to the treadmill, grabbing his phone and putting the earbuds into his head. As the "ground" beneath him started to move, Isamu's legs pumped forward, the breaths coming out a bit quicker now. As his arms swung back and forth, he started to hum to the music, a blissful smile crossing his face.

A few minutes later, he was making his way to the pool, swim trunks on and a towel hung over his shoulder. His breath was still slightly ragged from the workout and his muscles cried out, but the aches were glorious. "No pain, no gain." Chuckling to himself, he shook his head. English had some pretty interesting phrases to it, but that one was spot-on. He certainly didn't get to where he was by lounging around and feeling sorry for himself. Two fingers? So what? He was better at origami than a good ninety percent of the population, and that was with barely a few years of practice and his parents teaching him!

Finally reaching the pool, Isamu stopped as he noticed he wasn't alone. Usually that was the case after the swim team had gone, but today he was a bit early, after all. Shrugging, he approached the pool, looking for a place to secure his towel. "Hi there, mind if-" Abruptly cutting himself off with a grunt, Isamu swapped languages, forgetting he'd been thinking in English. Having two mother tongues will do that to ya. "Hello. Do you mind if I join you out here?" Much better. There were people who could understand English, yeah, but it wasn't good to make a habit of speaking in a language most of the folks around you weren't fluent in. Stretching his arms, he gave the girl a moment to respond. She seemed a bit wrapped up with....whatever it was she was thinking about at the moment.
Last KS RP I was in had a chuunibyou. Isamu's name? The Midgard Lobster. Cuz why not?

Also, made one last edit: Isamu is still fluent in English, but it's basically a second native tongue. I mean, his parents were gonna teach it to him anyway, so they taught him by immersion. Their plans were made once he was born. We'll learn a bit more about the parents when someone gets friendly with him.
1. I figured that was the case. I've actually popped in once or twice before, debating whether to join, and now felt like the right time.

2. Wow....thanks. That's....I feel honored.

3. Yeah. He tries to be nice, but he has issues connecting with people on a deeper level, hence the tidbit about "he's not nearly as close to most people as he likes to think."

4. Guildfall was such a wretched time. Somehow, though, a group I'm in has managed to keep our LoZ RP going (albeit at a snail's pace) going for....it has to be two years now. At least.

5. Yay. :3
Also, just added clarification that his feet are indeed "claws" as well.
Double said
Yes, how dare he try to avenge his family and homeland from the people who took them from him. I mean, the nerve of that bastard! :pBut seriously, if the good guys wanna kick him out of the group, Kristoph will literally just shrug and be like, "Fine, guess your shitty kingdom wasn't worth fighting for anyway. Have fun dying, assholes! Kthxbai."

Yep, because saying that to the guy who was captured and shown mercy by those same forces totally isn't gonna end with one of them dead. /sarcasm.
Are y'all accepting? I didn't notice anything saying that the RP was closed, so I hope I'm not makin' an ass of myself here.

Height/Weight: 170cm/59 kg (5'7", 130 pounds). His feet are syndactylized nearly identically to his hands.

Name: Isamu Tanaka

Age: 18

Grade: 3rd year

Disability: Ectrodactyly, commonly known as "Lobster Claw Syndrome"....for obvious reasons

Personality: Isamu is a very friendly person, owing to his seclusion for most of his life. He's quick to trust, quick to befriend, and quick to forgive. He holds the people in his life near and dear to him, and tries to make new friends wherever possible. However, he's not nearly as close to most people as he likes to think, and while he's generally good at reading people, he misses some important cues sometimes. He likes to crack jokes, sometimes with a somewhat dark nature to them, but he holds no prejudices or aversion to general society. Since being at Yamaku, he's gotten used to the stares, and occasionally snaps his "claws" at people he notices staring to freak them out. In class, he's diligent and hard-working, and can be described as a teacher's pet.

Background: Ectrodactyly. A condition often referred to as "Lobster claw syndrome" by people who are aware of its existence, due to the...unique appearance it causes in those who suffer from it. The condition is congenital, but no family history of it exists. Isamu...just got unlucky. Some mutation occurred while his mother was pregnant, and now he has one finger-like structure and a thumb on each hand. There is significant fusion (syndactyly) in the finger he does have.

Due to his condition, Isamu's parents home-schooled him. He knew that he was strange, and his home-schooling was voluntary. His life was relatively normal, as is the case for many "lobstermen." Despite appearances, Isamu retains most of the utility of his hand, and has a driver's license, as well as an interest in origami. When he reached high school age, his parents told him about a school where he could fit in, develop some independence, and make friends. Since he was home-schooled, Isamu's only friends were his parents and his cat. Also, because his parents had their hands full home-schooling Isamu and working, they never had another child. At least, that's the official story. Mr. Tanaka suffered an incident at work which brutally damaged his hips and legs, as well as...eliminating his ability to reproduce. His mother has had many extra-marital boyfriends, sanctioned by her husband. Isamu has even met several of these men, and they have been known to contribute to his schooling as well.

Of course, given the choice to go out into the world, Isamu readily accepted, and has been at Yamaku for a few years now. The reason he is a year older than other students is because his home-schooling was somewhat delayed in order to prepare him fully for the world at large.

Other info: Isamu is skilled at origami (his way of flipping the world the bird), natively speaks English (his parents taught him both languages) and borderline genius at science and math, largely due to his homeschooling. Has a reputation as a philanderer, though when this is mentioned, he will blush pretty badly and try to justify the rumors. Most of which are, in fact, true.
They could inspire people to move faster or hit harder, but translating that into an active, live effect is a bit difficult. They're used for morale, of course, so it's more of a background role. Staying behind the rear-most units, encouraging everyone to fight.

Also, Kristoph is going to face some opposition if he thinks his obsession with destroying Vinsenia's forces is gonna fly. At all.
Oh lawdy. I'll wait on Ereshk to respond to Barst and then I suppose he'll be the first one to notice Arianna.

This is gonna be so much fun.
Yiss. YISS. YIIISSSSSS. Pls let that happen.
