Oswald Connoly- Infirmary

Leaning slightly backward as Shiro approached and fawned over him, Oswald's eyebrow slid upwards. It was uncomfortable to have somebody, especially somebody he hardly knew, getting so flustered about the injuries he'd suffered. But it seemed like everybody wanted to treat him like he was liable to re-break all his ribs and puncture his lung again just with a little movement, and that was frustrating. "I'm...mostly alright. Feel like I got hit by a convoy of trucks, but other than that, I'm gonna live."

Letting Diamond go off on her rant, Oswald let out a light sigh. "She's...exaggerating a bit, but she's in the right...ballpark. Last mission wasn't a set up. It just...it was a situation that got bad because the right people weren't listening." Taking a few moments to arrange his thoughts and wonder what he could tell Shiro, Oswald continued. "This mission was a whole other deal, though. Rogue Huntress. Pair of 'em. Nearly killed us all. If it weren't for...if Ms. Vanhomrigh hadn't come when she did, we'd all be Grimm food right about now."

The image of Alex and Chase's bodies came unbidden to Oswald, making his eyes narrow in anger. "The..the one we fought, she fucking killed them, Shiro. Two guys who saved our lives. They were just mercs, with no measurable Aura. Probably couldn't even register on the most sensitive scales. And she just crushed them like...like tissue paper." For a moment, Oswald's Aura threatened to show itself physically, a small dark glow appearing around the wounded fighter before fading quickly. "And I just...I just watched it happen. I wasn't fast enough. I couldn't...I couldn't stop that fucking thing, even with three other people. And I couldn't even protect them."

Small tears battled to race down Oswald's face, but he fought them as hard as he dared. Staring away from Shiro, Oswald sighed. "Diamond...had to see it all. I was lucky enough to be half-dead and in the midst of shock, and I know I'll never be able to unsee that. I don't blame her for wondering what the fuck we're doing here."
*Checks watch*

Huh, guess it's about that time. Excuse me while I bang my head against a wall while this conversation happens for the umpteenth time
I haven't gone poof. I'm super tired and busy with work, and I haven't figured out a post to reintroduce them yet.
Oswald Connoly- Infirmary

Consciousness was almost a stranger to Oswald in these moments. After the adrenaline rush had worn off, the pain he was in was absolutely unbearable. He'd never admit it, but he felt like he was dying every time he tried to sit up. It only made sense, though. Three broken ribs. A punctured lung. His nose and thumb, broken and a bit disfigured as well. Dull and sharp pains assaulted his senses from seemingly all sides, and the pain medications he was supposed to be getting dulled his mind too much for him to use them. He had to think, but the suffering was too much.

Maybe he'd click that button, get a little bit of medicine, just to dull the edge.

Just as he was thinking of doing so, the presence of another student roused his attention. Somebody who didn't get maimed? It's a Dustmass miracle... The sarcastic thought remained non verbal as Oswald pressed his little button. And there it was, the pain dulling medicine he was so uncomfortable using.

"Shiro...sup, dude?"
So.....RWBY panel happened.

You creepy lil shit

I think Sapphire might take a tour of the infirmary late at night to remind herself that the mission could have gone a hundred times worse if it had been GMed by Hari.

Yeah, they could've ended up like the mercs who got merc'd.

That's a little less than twenty bucks. I think I'll get a pizza.

Was it decided on a 100 Lien=1 Dollar ratio? Cuz if so...Motorbikes are cheap.
