Oswald Connoly- Infirmary

Looking down at his body then back to Sapphire, Oswald raised an eyebrow at her. "I suppose I should be glad that the others can enjoy themselves, even if it's from the stands." Letting out a short sigh, he winced in pain from the sudden movement of his chest. Sapphire seemed to have a calming presence, Oswald noticed. It might have just been the fact that she happened to be the one to show up both times he was wallowing in self-loathing after his missions, but few others had ever had an effect on him before. He briefly wondered exactly why that was before mentally shrugging.

"I doubt my parents will end up coming, if they somehow get the message to my village anyway. The only time people really leave are with trade caravans every season, and for them it's about a two week journey. Unless Ozpin spares a Bullhead to bring two people, I'll just have to wait for another opportunity to see them. Considering my condition....that might be for the better. I'd hate to make them worry about me when there are much more pressing matters at hand." Like that kid from a few days ago, for one...

"Hey, Sapphire, remember that kid who showed up, covered in scars and shit? What do you think happened to him after he disappeared? What do you think is going on? There's no way everything that's been happening lately is a coincidence. A trap by rampaging Huntresses, some kid with weird torture scars shows up out of nowhere, then vanishes just as suddenly?" It all smelled of something darker. What exactly that was, however, Oswald couldn't be sure. Not yet.
Poor Napoli, left behind while the girls go and have fun with poor Luke.

Ganbare, Luke. Ganbare.
At least one game from every generation, boss. Hyped for Sun and Moon.
^Oswald once spiked a cat faunus' coffee with catnip back home.

It was fucking hilarious. Guy was rubbing up on people, getting all friendly, until a log to the face persuaded him to maintain a safe distance.
I was wondering where my drugs disappeared to.

Apparently, into all of your fucking drinks.
So......seraphs, is geralt approved orrrrrr..?
Hue.

Also, @Prince of Seraphs, I forgot your notification. So there.

I posted. Yay.
Oswald Connoly- Infirmary

Oswald was starting to calm down at this point. Not by much, but he could feel the tension slowly leaving his body. Letting it out was so cathartic, but it always left him feeling as though it was the day it had all gone to hell-or worse, the day he had realized he was the last one left. That the others weren't coming back. You can't give up. Whatever it takes. Even if that means making yourself look like a damned fool. It hardly mattered, but if it made the hard days a little less painful, he could give it a shot.

"Music...yeah, I remember. Last week, when we went into Vale. I'm, uh...I'm sorry that I brought Diamond and Emerald along. Probably not my best move..." It had been so painfully awkward once he'd realized the invitation was meant to be private- date or not.

And then their Scrolls rang. Oswald carefully stretched his arm out, bringing the communications device to his body in order to read the message he'd received. Family day, huh...and an obstacle course. And free food. Oh, a wrestling tournament, too?! Wow, it's like Ozpin specifically chose this all just to rub this in my face!

He wanted to crush the Scroll in his hand right then and there. He might have been able to, though it would hurt like an absolute bastard. Despite his best efforts to control it, the anger started worming its way through his body yet again, along with an even more unwelcome guest-self pity. This was pathetic. Getting angry at everybody else's ability to have fun. If somebody's family couldn't make it, the rest were at least healthy enough to walk under their own power. Emerald and Cobalt might still be recovering, but once they were past the imminent threat to their lives, they would just have to wait for their wounds to heal.

Oswald would be stuck in a chair for a while. It hadn't helped that part of one of his floating ribs had wound up inside his lung. The emergency surgery had been relatively quick, but a punctured lung was still a punctured lung. But Sapphire had asked him a question, about this very thing that was threatening to send him over the edge now.

"My family? Yeah, they're still around." Immediately after speaking, Oswald's shoulders sank and he looked away from Sapphire, ashamed. His voice was much sharper, much more angry than he'd meant it to be. "Sorry, I'm just...I'm just bummed over this whole thing," he said, gesturing to his Scroll. "I doubt I'll be able to enjoy any of it."

"There's just the three of us, though. My parents and me. Mom got sick when she was pregnant with me, so they never tried for another kid. Probably would've been too much stress for her body, apparently." It was a rather transparent distraction, but Oswald didn't mind. His family was one of those things that didn't drive him further into his shell, at least. "They're pretty great, actually. Weren't too happy that I chose to join the militia, especially not when they first sent us outside the walls, but after the first few times I came back in one piece, they learned to put their worry aside, I guess." A small smile managed to cross Oswald's face before he sighed peacefully. "I miss them, even though it's only been about a month and a half since I saw them."
I already have a scene pictured in my head for Shiro after the day's events are done and over with and he has time to 'spend' with his 'parents'.

Knees pulled up to his chest, arms wrapped around them as he is seated. Staring at Kladenets and Perun set in the ground a few feet away in front of him, by his lonesome. Perhaps even talking to them.

Oswald walks by. "Might wanna find a more secluded spot, bud. Most people tend to give you funny looks when you talk to stuff"
I'd like to get through today, but it might take a while. Prince has been a bit slow to reply
