Damn, I think with everybody constantly berating Jacob and reminding him that he's not a soldier any more, he might end up going down a bit of a different path than I intended.

As apprehensive as I was with this RP at first, I'm actually enjoying it very, very much. I'm glad I stuck around.
Jacob went with Jade willingly, shooting a death glare back at Cancer. Wonder if he knows something I don't. Still, that was a bad move on my part. Shouldn't have started banging on that dome like a goddamned gorilla. Man, I'm losing my edge. Hell...that's honestly probably a good thing. Taking a deep breath, he smiled at her, noticing her clever use of her levitation to meet him at his height. "I get what you're sayin', but what exactly makes me special here? Fact that I showed up at the last second?"

Rubbing the back of his head, he turned in the direction she pointed. "Yeah. Yeah, I got it though...maybe it's time I stopped worryin' bout other people so much. Take care of myself and all that." he hung his head again and turned back, nodding at Jade before starting on his way back to the Academy.

Jacob sighed as Ashlynn got up and walked away. After she was gone, he started talking to where she was sitting. "Yeah...yeah, go on. Go back to the Academy. Leave the crazy vet to his ruminations. Your life'll be a lot easier that way." Finishing his coffee and leaving more than enough to pay for it, he stepped back outside the cafe and jammed his hands roughly into his pockets, head drooping as he walked. What the hell did the doctors say it was? He'd seen it on a few guys before. Thousand-yard stare. Yeah, that was it. And it's not a thing, for that matter. As for living in the past....kinda hard not to do when the past shows up in your dreams, and when you close your eyes, or when you hear fireworks or anything like that!

Scenario 9

Simply wandering around to keep his mind from wandering too far off again, Jacob's concentration was broken when he heard a scream coming from not too far away. Oh, not this shit again... Taking off in a run, he turned a corner and found the source of the screams just as Kyo plunged his blade into the man's skull. What the hell was with this Academy's students and getting into shit like...wait wait wait, he just witnessed a murder. This...this wasn't...

Bursting forward towards the dome, Jacob pounded on it with his fists alongside Carolyn, to little effect. It would take a Psion of pretty decent power to stop this. But right now, he was more worried about the living man inside the shield. Was he still going to attack? What was the best way to subdue him? Should he try to talk to him? Half a dozen scenarios ran through his mind in a flash, and he made a snap decision: "Hey....hey, you alright in there?" His voice was calm and sincere. "Listen, I need you to talk to me. What happened? Why...why'd you kill this guy?"
When Ashlynn question him, Jacob couldn't help but laugh. After a few moments, he sighed and shook his head. "I lost part of my leg, and took half a dozen rounds from a machine gun, so that a man infinitely my greater could live and help our brothers, even now that I'm long gone. So yes...I think it was worth it."

Rolling his pant leg back down, he cracked his neck and thanked the waitress, who'd returned with his coffee. Taking a sip, he inhaled slowly through his nose, savoring the strong scent. "Sorry if I'm a bit of a bore. Most of the interesting stuff I have to talk about relates to my time in the Army. Lotta people give me looks for it and 'cause of the way I dress. I just had the lifestyle beaten into me for the past...eight or nine years before coming here. All about confidence, self-improvement, knowing what you're doin' and what tools yer using to do it." Taking another sip of coffee, he continued.

"I can name at least one prefect off the top of my head who's got a real nasty image of me because of the way I carry myself. I can't really change it, though. Spent my whole adult life as a model little soldier up till now. Sure, I may break curfew now and then, but I ain't some hell-blazing rebel." Inclining his head and looking up at the ceiling, he shrugged. "Ah well. Can't please everybody. I'm just glad I don't get any of that horror story people spitting on me and screaming 'baby killer!' when they see my tags."
"Well...that was helpful." Sighing as Dark makes his departure, Jacob waved over a waitress and ordered a coffee. "At least I know somebody who knows the Guardians. And to be honest...you're probably right though, about those guys being on a whole other level. Reminds me of a...time.........with..................." For a good ten to fifteen seconds, Jacob's face was blank. It looked like his mind had just left his body. In a way, it had. When it was over, he violently shook his head and rubbed his temples. "Anyway, it might be best not to pick any fights. But if something comes up...I just wanna know I got someone I can at least rely on covering my six. Last thing any of us needs is a repeat of last month. I got lucky once, but I used up my fair share of luck when I got this damned leg." Lifting up his pant leg a bit, he knocked on his prosthetic a few times, a smile crossing his face. "Worth it, though...worth it."
Scenario 8

Deciding to take a break while he had the time, Jacob headed to a nearby cafe, stumbling upon a few folks he vaguely remembered from a certain incident a month prior. "Heeeyyy, it's the Warehouse Crew!" Remembering exactly what had happened, his face darkened as he realized that what he said was probably very stupid. "Sorry, probably shouldn't be excited about that. So...anybody figure out who they are, what they're up to, all that jazz? I'm still pissed that those a-holes pulled a stunt like that...especially so close to the Academy. I'm lucky there were...friendly faces...that showed up then."

Of course, he was referring to the other students and the Guardians, the latter of which he still wasn't too sure about. Of course, if anybody appreciated the proper and tactical use of force, it was Jacob. However...they lacked a bit of the tactical part. From what he'd seen, at best, they were on par with local Opfor that he'd had to deal with back with the Rangers. At worst...it wasn't exactly pretty. Now, they weren't absolute morons, that much was for sure. "How you two holdin' up? I...remember you two got it pretty bad." The joking tone and look was gone. It was back to serious business, and even a cursory glance at Jacob's face would tell you that he was channeling some destructive side. He spoke quietly with his next few sentences. "I don't want to talk big or make myself out to be some special forces God of war type guy...but if they show their faces around here again...we gotta do something about it. I think the Guardians are actually the best bet for this situation. Either of you...know anybody? I ain't too keen on the idea of waiting until somebody else gets attacked to do something."
As far as I can tell, specific summons are totally cool. However, you can have two types of summons as the OP said (since you're a secondary summoner). So it might be better to go with a general type of summons. It's totally up to you though, if that's the case.

Also, the Guardians are a Wanderer group, not anti-Wanderer.
As much as he was berating himself for getting cocky last night, hearing someone else say it hit hard. But really, she was right. If he hadn't tried to play hero, he wouldn't have risked getting killed. Still, what could he have done? It would have taken far too long for the cops to show up, and if he had to take a beating, or even get himself seriously hurt, to help somebody else he'd do it in a heartbeat. It was just the kind of person he was. Well, he probably should have tried to at least figure out what was up with those guys instead of assuming they were regular humans. Shrugging as both girls left, he chuckled at Jade's mention of hot pockets, and headed off to the dorms while mumbling to himself. "Hot pockets...damn, I think I'd rather have an MRE. These kids are tougher than they look sometimes..."

"Yeah, I was there. I'm not sure, I think that guy with the fire either got a little cocky or figured he'd take care of me when he was finished with the others. Gotta admit, that weird web of flames probably woulda killed me if I weren't a white magic guy." He shrugged a little. He really had gotten lucky last night, though. "I'm really not used to fighting other Wanderers...used to regular people." As a sigh escaped his lips, he looked away for a second, refocusing his thoughts. "Anyway, yeah, last night...basically, I got lucky. If they had all decided to fight, I wouldn't have stood a chance. Shows me to get big-headed, huh?"
Jacob nodded at Jade's reply. His parents weren't that intense about the idea of his powers, but he understood that Dark Magic was pretty creepy, and among the more superstitious, it could be easily seen as a curse. "Damn. My parents were pretty cool with me practicing my powers, just as long as nobody noticed. They didn't want us to end up on some national registry, especially because they were afraid of something like that NATSEC business happening. A little too late for me now, though. Ain't hard to get a hold of somebody's name in the registry here. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some records back with the Army, either. I kinda got kicked out 'cause I healed a guy on a botched op. Turns out the military is generally anti-Wanderer."

Rubbing the back of his head, he forced a smile and chuckled a bit. "Ah, oh well. What's done is done. As for me, I'm white magic and telepathy. Can't to anything like making force fields or flying or nothing. But it's useful in it's own right, don't get me wrong. Saved myself a lotta trouble last night. Probably would've been covered in burns if I couldn't heal myself up like that."
