Current I'm alive! The Legislature sleeps yet again, and so I may have my life back.

Currently doing 10-12 hour days to get through a huge workload at work. No one's been forgotten. I'm just running on energy drinks and the promise that I'll get my free time back before Thanksgiving.

At first, Grace was tempted to roll onto her other side and completely ignore the bouncing, noisy creature beside her. She squeezed her eyes a little tighter against the ray of sunshine that could now flow right in her face. She groaned in annoyance, clenched the blanket in her fist to bring it closer to her chin, and snapped her eyes open. Unlike her father, she wasn't a morning person. She didn't want to be a morning person. Her usual farm chores were capable of being done in the afternoon, just after she liked to wake up, even if it meant working in the heat.

Oh, wait. She had more than just farm chores to worry about that morning.

Blinking, she shoved the blanket down a bit and peeked over her shoulder at the tiny reptile. Memories came flooding back of only a few hours earlier, when the room was dark and all she could see were faint shimmers of scales on an unfamiliar figure, and hear the sounds of an obviously very young animal. Now that it was light and she could finally get a good, detailed look at what she was dealing with. And yes, it really was a dragon.

She sat up, blew her unruly bangs out of her face, and stared at the creature. "Good morning," she finally said.
I'll be replying soon! Either by or on Saturday. Sorry, wasn't expecting to work so many hours today. xD

Edit: Posted! :D
Okay, take all the time you need!

Good luck with that exam! :D
"Hey, don't complain. I can't let the house burn down."

Grace couldn't help but smile as she watched the little reptile stalk its probably-already-dead prey. She let out a small laugh as it finally got its snack, and laughed a little more at its failed attempts to get back onto the bed. It was almost like any other baby animal - behavior wise anyway - and it certainly struck and warmed her heart. She watched as he climbed over to her and promptly fell asleep. She smiled again, reached over, and gently covered it with the edge of the top cover. After tucked him in a little, she scooted down, got settled, then turned the light off.

At that point, she was so tired, she didn't care if it was a dream or not. Perhaps it wasn't a dream. Deep down, she wanted it to be real, or at least not some kind of hallucination from over-exhaustion. If anything, she was surprised by how unafraid she was. That reptile could spit out more fire and do some real damage, she was sure, but she was also put off guard by his vulnerability and cuteness.

Damn, what a risk. And just what kind of shop had she walked into?

'Questions later...Time for sleep,' she thought as she drifted off to dreamland. It would be morning in just a few short hours, and dawn was creeping upon them. Her father would be getting up soon enough to start his regular chores around the farm. Hopefully, he wouldn't peek in on her.
Going to start my post now!

Thank you so, so much for being patient! Every time I had plans to reply to all my RPs, something would come up. xD:
I'll be posting soon! If not tonight or tomorrow, then definitely no later than Tuesday. :3

EDIT: I lied, heh...I underestimated the time I needed, so I'll have to post tomorrow or Saturday. Sorry about that!
I know this isn't the most unique idea out there, and it's a little half-baked since it's been spinning in my head for only the last...ten minutes? Fifteen? (Like all the plot ideas I get.) Yeah, so there's going to be plenty of room to change/add things. I'd rather have an open plot where my partner and I can twist things so we both have our own input, rather than have everything set up and strict before I even get a partner. That's no fun. Sound okay? Cool.

Yep, it definitely needs more to it, but I think I have enough to get ideas going.

About me:

- The main female is my character. I can play any NPC, side character, or antagonist, as long as I'm not the only one playing them.

- This is - obviously - not my job. (I already have one.) This is a hobby, something I do to chill when I'm not busy and would like to get out what creativity is buzzing around in my head. This means that I'm not going to be around to post every five minutes, even if I'm online. I cant even promise a post a day, depending on what else needs my attention. This also means that I would really appreciate a partner who is patient, and won't get his/her panties in a bunch if I don't get a post out when they demand me to. By all means, poke me after a day or two, but be cool about it, yeah? I can have all the patience in the world, and would like someone who can offer the same.

- I have zero limits when it comes to language, romance, and violence. Throw what you like at me. I will do my best to respect my partner's limits, as well as any triggers if I am warned beforehand.

- I tend to type one to two paragraph posts, which can be more or less depending on what I'm given to work with. For the sake of my sanity, please don't give me a post length requirement other than "no one or two liners." As I said before, this is not my job. If I don't fit any strict needs, then I'm not the partner for you. If a post needs to be longer, I will gladly make it longer. But don't come to me thinking I can give three or more paragraph long replies and nothing less - that's not going to happen.

Who I'm looking for:

- Can play the main male character. It would also be cool if my partner would be willing to split the other characters with me, so I don't have to juggle them all.

- I don't care about post length, but for goodness sake don't give me a two-liner or one-liner after I dish out a multi-paragraph post. That's just not okay. If my post needs to be changed, I will do that.

- Someone who deliberately chooses to not use decent grammar, especially with the excuse of "I use my best grammar only for posts that matter," will not be responded to. We all make mistakes, and no one is perfect, but c'mon. C'mon

- Won't make me start the RP, then ditch me without a word. Dude, seriously. Don't be that guy. Also, don't be the guy that randomly stops replying to me and ignores whatever messages I send in an attempt to find out what's going on. Unless there is a good, solid reason for not getting back to me.

- Don't be a jerk, and we'll get along fantastically.

Welp, I think that's it. I'm up for any suggestions and changes, as long as my partner is okay with compromising. Feel free to PM me or post here. :)

Grace watched in near horror as the bug was roasted and fell to the floor. She saw it land near her dresser, but was a little too concerned with another pressing matter to help the little creature find it. The small flame it had let out had not only hit the bug, but also the foot of her bed. The top comforter, which was old and worn, caught a small spark and began to smoke. She grit her teeth and felt her heart leap, before actually thinking of doing anything about it. She finally leaped into action, grabbing her pillow and hitting it against the burning spot on the blanket. If she didn't hurry, the smoke would set off the alarm. And the alarm would wake up her dad. And her dad would no doubt rush in to find out what was going on, and would find the...Dragon?

She didn't want to think past that. She didn't really want to think at all. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the smoke to fade and the spot to stop burning. The blanket now had a decently sized hole in it, but it was better than the incident creating a huge commotion. Grace sighed and dropped her pillow, then let herself sit back down on the bed. Maybe this was all just a dream...

She'd wake up soon. She was sure of it.
