Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Fendros understood enough of what Zharanthixil said to know how much this meant to him. Even if he didn't know, he expected that putting aside his hate for outsiders to enlist their help to find his daughter showed how far he was willing to go. There was a voice in Fendros' head that suspected that it could be a trap to get rid of the pack, but Zharanthixil would not likely be so underhanded when Kaleeth's life was at stake. Not that two Argonian hunters would be quite enough to take down a werewolf in the first place. For now, Fendros followed along with the pair allocated to him, swapping names and exchanging which details to look out for.

On the other hand, Sabine had to communicate via Meesei, but she was used to not talking much anyway. As they progressed, Sabine kept her nose up and eyes peeled. She would readily admit that she was worried for Kaleeth. She was glad to find that it wasn't overwhelming. Being focussed seemed to help with that.

Janius rested his hand on the top of his axe on his belt, its blade still sticky with sap. He was in a similar talking situation to Sabine, having little knowledge of Jel. However, communicating with Zharanthixil was something that neither of them were particularly interested in unless it was absolutely necessary. Janius reflected Zharanthixil's demeanour, describing their desire to be away form each other, but their silence and focus held an acceptance that this was required. After an eternity of navigating the marsh to the allotted search area, they arrived seeing no immediate evidence of Kaleeth's passing. Nevertheless it was only the beginning. Janius tuned all his senses to any trace of Kaleeth and stood ready to follow the direction of Zharanthixil to begin the search.
It was with hidden awe that Shiva looked upon their accommodation. She had never so much as been in a hotel room before, let alone a diplomat's suite. She didn't even wait for the Tempu handler to finish answering Shuo's question before she apprehensively stepped forward, marvelling at inconsequential things, like how clean the architraves were. And she would be living in it. Nice!

Shiva picked a room door different form her CO, seeing as she was given the choice. Just like Shuo's door, the robotic voice addressed her, "Welcome Ms Tasthagk, this room is now coded too your palm! It will only open to your palm unless you decide to allocate someone else to open it! Have a great stay!" For the first time today, Shiva let out a laugh. She was half expecting it to call her 'mistress', which would have provided no end to her amusement, but mizz was more than she usually got in anything other than a bureaucratic letter. Well, it was better than 'traitor'.

She took a peek inside the room and again marvelled at the architraves, but quickly found the four doors to the separate bedrooms and the kitchen. They even had climate control, thank goodness. After a quick glance around, she emerged from her room and addressed the rest of the group. "So, which one of you needs a roommate doesn't mind the cold?" Shiva asked, trying to be casual about it. It appeared as if most of the people in the team were mostly laid back, so it wasn't really worth going full military posture for them.
I'mma put a post up after a meal.
Janius looked away and to the ground. The Master-Hunter's plan was not a certain one. He didn't like that. Right now though, there didn't seem to be any alternative. Janius took a deep breath, closed his mouth, and straightened his back. "Master-Hunter, we loath one another. However, if bringing Kaleeth home safely requires that we cooperate, so be it." He sniffed and brought on a determined face, "Lead on. We're wasting time."

Fendros was similarly relieved to hear that there was a plan of action, even if it was from Zharanthixil. Silently but quickly, he donned his quiver and sword, and took his bow in hand while Janius accepted. He walked briskly out of the common hut, "I'll get Sabine and Lorag, and let Ahna know."
Once Janius detected Zharanthixil in the common hut, he rose to his knees. What was he doing here, come to torture him further? Come to fight, as if hurting him was going to bring Kaleeth back? Janius was so angered by his presence that he was close to shouting at him, but he listened for long enough for that thought to fade.

Janius' expression changed from pitiful to surprised. Zharanthixil may have been a petty and scarred individual, but he had no reason to lie. Here, he was saying he had a way to find Kaleeth, and Janius latched onto that hope with everything he had. His breathing levelled and he rose to his feet, staring at Zharanthixil with obsessive eyes and a slightly open mouth. "Tell me your plan," Janius said with confidence, but still a hint of desperation.

Redeeming himself in Zharanthixil's eyes was something he could not care less about, but if there was a chance that he could see Kaleeth safe again, he wanted to hear how.
I certainly would have been more interested in watching Big Brother if it involved more heavy ordinance.
So, I'm not sure if you caught a glimpse of my post before going to sleep, but I thought about it on the bus back from work and decided to edit it. Just a heads up.

Also, I completely forgot about executing a subplot I was thinking of with Zharan's skulls. Damn it. I think it's too far gone now.
While Meesei talked Janius down, he couldn't even look back into her eyes. His breathing became shallow with frustration that turned into anger. He was about to explode and shout at them both, asking what on Nirn he was meant to do while Kaleeth, the one he loved, was missing. He felt useless just waiting. She could have been in danger and all Janius was doing was sitting around.

Before he lost his temper, however, Zharanthixil showed up. Janius' glower was directed towards the Master-Hunter in response to his approach, almost completely forgetting about Fendros and Meesei in front of him.

Even though Zharanthixil's words were nothing he hadn't heard from him before, they caused Janius to angle his head from an angered bow to a somewhat defensive angle back. Janius was so upset by this point that his previous guilt about involving Kaleeth in all of this was coming back. He felt the truth in it. This was his fault. It wasn't even worth shouting over to Zharanthixil, demanding to know what he wanted with his presence. Janius was trapped in a corner. There was nothing he could do to fix the horrible situation he had created and that built his anger up to a breaking point.

With a snap of his arm, Janius pulled his axe out from its loop on his belt, his brow twitching as he stared Zharanthixil down. Janius let out a frustrated shout, spun around and threw his axe towards a tree near the common hut. It spun through the air with a rhythmic hum before it pinged blade first into the tree trunk. It hit the tree with such force that when the resulting leaves stopped falling from its branches, it revealed the corner of the axe blade to be lodged so deeply that it didn't look possible to remove.

By now, Janius had stomped back into the common hut and, from standing up straight and breathing heavily, he shut his eyes and collapsed to his hands and knees. He punched the packed earth floor with his fist and sounded a grunt that was high pitched with sadness. A tear fell from his face and sank into the floor.

Fendros gave a tense look to Zharanthixil before following Janius inside. He had never seen Janius this upset before, though he could partly understand. Having no control over a situation like this must be torture. Again, he didn't know quite how to handle this situation. He had not needed to calm Janius down before. Normally it was Janius calming down Fendros when he had lost his temper.

"It wasn't meant to be like this...I didn't mean for this to happen..." Janius pressed his head against the knuckles of one hand. His muffled voice sounded between sobs and constricted breaths. It had a desperate tone that was losing hope. "This was my fault. I...I should not have let this happen. I love her..."

Despite his better judgement, Fendros hazarded some encouragement. "Janius, you can't just give up hope. There's still a chance-"

"-There was still a chance three days ago!" Janius shouted, interrupting Fendros, "I should have gone to look for her sooner. What in Oblivion's name am I meant to do if I can't go and look for her!?"
G'night!
Janius only gave a fleeting look to Meesei and Fendros as he exited the hut, axe on his hip and shield over his shoulder. He started to walk, but Fendros stepped in front of him and put his palm to Janius' chest. "Janius, stop."

They stared at each other for a few seconds, both equally determined. "Fendros, get out of my way." Janius said, with a veneer of calm that didn't diminish the threat in his tone.

Fendros, being worried for Janius and having backup from Meesei, stood his ground. He looked to Meesei for help, he had neither the authority or the knowledge of what to say to him.

"I have to find her. Get out of my way!" Janius said impatiently, roughly shoving Fendros' hand off him.
