Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

The discussion turned from one situation resolved to another outstanding. Fendros couldn't come up with an answer immediately when Ahnasha looked to him, as much as he would have liked to. He didn't want to lie to this family, that would simply make another problem to replace the one they came here for. Not only that, but they would eventually ask about Ahnasha's lost finger, and Rhazii's marks, and whatever other inconsistencies that would come up. They couldn't keep lying. At the same time, he still didn't want to speak Ahnasha's truths for her. They were not his to give.

Fendros opened his mouth to speak, then closed it. Just saying that they would visit on the way back would not be good enough. He tried again, but spoke to Ahnasha. "Ahna, I think you should tell them."
S'nashi's words drove home just how much of an impact Ahnasha's departure had on the family. Ahnasha had clearly misjudged her parents more than she even could have known walking into the shop. Indeed, Fendros couldn't have known either by only briefly talking to Gwindir beforehand.

Though Fendros was shocked, he didn't respond as outwardly as Gwindir and Vasiq; he just didn't know S'nashi as well as everyone else did. He just kept quiet and tried not start shedding tears himself. He hoped, more strongly this time, that the family could find it in themselves to forgive Ahnasha.
Fendros lead Rhazii upstairs behind Ahnasha and her family. He was glad that they could find a moment to process it all. Their living space was modest, but not austere so as to suggest poverty. Fendros' eyes wandered, looking over where Ahnasha must have grown up.

In response to her question, Fendros gave a small smile to S'nashi, but he did not want to be inappropriately upbeat given the situation. "Yes. His name is Rhazii. He is nearing four years old now." Fendros looked down to Rhazii, who was hiding behind Fendros with an unsure demeanour. He was normally fine with strangers, but the heavy emotions and the chiding he got earlier that day kept him silent for now. His ear was still slightly sore. Fendros lightened his tone, "Rhazii, say hello."

"Hello," Rhazii mumbled from behind his fist, where he still chewed on his thumb claw, "Are you my grandma?"

While Rhazii answered, Fendros noted Ahnasha's response. She hadn't specified before whether she was going to mention the lycanthropy, but Fendros understood her evasion. He would not give away any further details that she did not give first.
I'm going to be busy for most of today, so no need to check too frequently.
It was heartening to see at least S'Nashi react with positivity. Vasiq and Gwindir's reactions were not quite as singular. Fendros hoped that this would not turn out wrong. He and Ahnasha were risking much by opening up their old wounds. Understandably, Gwindir was dubious about Fendros himself.

"I met Ahnasha long after she feigned death," Fendros answered neutrally, trying to keep composed with the mix of emotions. "I have not lied to you at all, except to not reveal Ahnasha's fate before she wanted to." Fendros directed himself to S'Nashi and Vasiq, "My name is Fendros, I am her husband."

The last thing Fendros wanted was Gwindir to react angrily to the situation, at least not without hearing Ahnasha out. Fendros extended a hand from his forearm and spoke in an effort to slow the confusion. He tried not to be forceful in the sensitivity of the situation, "Much has happened over this past decade, I suggest that we sit down so that Ahnasha can explain."
I'm heading out in about half an hour, so I'll probably not have another post tonight.
Even with the appearance of Gwindir and Vasiq, evidently Ahnasha's brother, Ahnasha still couldn't put anything into words. Fendros wished he could help more, to do some explaining, to at least help Ahnasha start, but he was reserved. This was Ahnasha's moment to act. She looked more indecisive than he had ever seen her before.

In an effort to encourage her, Fendros stepped up to Ahnasha. "Ahna," He placed his hand on her shoulder. He thought that she should at least embrace her family them after all these years. He looked to her, then nodded to her family. "Go on," he mouthed silently.
After Fendros closed the door behind them all, he opted to hold Rhazii's hand and stay back. As was expected, Ahnasha's mother was shocked and confused. Luckily, it appeared as though there was some recognition in her eyes. A silence lingered between S'Nashi and Ahnasha for long enough after S'Nashi's protests that Fendros decided to follow up. "A lot more happened nine years ago than you may have thought, S'Nashi."

Not eager to be too imposing, Fendros left his words there and hoped that the two could reconcile after the initial shock wore off. Rhazii was nervous at the situation and chewed on his thumbnail while keeping close to his father.
The rest of the day went on without incident. Fendros, Rhazii, and Newt even caught a street performance from a fire breather in the marketplace. Due to the scarcity of gold, there were no sweetrolls for them this time. The sights and sounds did suffice in the end for them, however, as the ship was not the most entertaining of places to play after a while.

As the sun set, Fendros' own anticipation was rising for the reunion between Ahnasha and her parents. He wasn't quite as fearful as Ahnasha, but he was beginning to get nervous. As courtesy to keep Ahnasha calm, he hid this nervousness as best as he could as they walked to the Tiger Lily Trader again.

By the time they reached the door, Ahnasha was understandably distraught. He took her hands and squeezed them reassuringly. "There's no danger, I promise," Fendros said, giving a smile and letting go of one of her hands. He lead her by the other hand as he pushed open the door.

The inside was virtually the same as Fendros and Rhazii had left it, except for the person at the counter. She looked to be a middle aged Khajiit woman with familiar features. "Good evening," Fendros said at the door with a serious look, "You are S'Nashi? I spoke with your husband earlier today. There is someone here I need you to meet." Fendros looked to Ahnasha and slowly stepped inside, leading her in. Rhazii stepped in behind them both.
Did you want to skip to the evening, or did you have other things you wanted to do in Leyawiin?
