Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

I decided to try and make a post on my phone while I had a spare moment. Now I have work, so, yeah, bonus post! And now g'night.
Sabine looked right back at Peiter with an intent that he had not seen from her before. Even if it didn't work out this time, even if it would not be enjoyable, she wanted to try. She pressed herself close to Peiter while they stood in the water. "Just remember your promise," she breathed into his ear.

A shorter time than expected passed by, but to Sabine, every moment was savoured. Afterward, there was a break where they laid together on the shore. However, Sabine's discipline was enough that she eventually ventured back to her alchemical equipment to finally partake in one of the potions that she had supplied for Kaleeth-rei and Ahnasha for years now.

Tzirret did not even reach out to take the pendant. He kept his eyes closed as he continued to sob. "This one cannot see happiness without you. He loves you..." Tzirret was clearly still hanging onto naive notions, young as he was.
If we do a vote in character, we can be resolute and move things along.
I have to head off in about fifteen minutes. I'll probably not get another post in tonight. G'night!
Peiter's thinking out loud made Sabine afraid for a short while. She thought that he might be getting thoughts. While he was second-guessing himself, in the end he responded in such a way that Sabine felt a wave of relief and elation. She returned his kiss just as enthusiastically, letting the moment go on into minutes. The only interruption was her moving her hand to his cheek so that there was a short pause. "I love you, Peiter," she said before continuing the kiss anew.

Eventually, after another few minutes longer, Sabine was so caught up in the moment that some anxieties in her mind became less powerful. She felt comfortable with Peiter, in love and impassioned. She pulled away from him in a moment of heavy breathing and led him by the hand into deeper water where they continued kissing. She did not deflect his wandering hands this time.

Tzirret kept running as fast as he dared with La'khay in chase. He just wanted to find a quiet spot to wallow in his sorrow, but there was no escape for him. His vision had blurred up with his tears, causing him to trip over a stone and roll his ankle, but he still kept trying to run on with a limp. Eventually, he gave up and limped up to a tree. He stood leaning against it with his free forearm and sobbed towards the ground. His knees swiftly gave way and he resigned to curling up against the tree in futility. When La'khay caught up with him, he shouted angrily through his sadness, "Go away! Leave this one to rot! He is an idiot for even trying..."
Just a bit of contrast in these two scenes, huh?
Sabine was not only relieved to hear that the particular detail was not strange, but she was also moved by the sincerity of Peiter's words. With a more serious expression, Sabine stared into Peiter's eyes and held him close again. "Do...you love me, Peiter?" she asked, somewhat nervously. Even with the time that they had been together, it was a state of vulnerability that she had not exposed to him to ask such a thing.

In Tzirret's mind, he wished to deny what was happening. By La'khay's reaction, especially her not taking the pendant, he felt himself start to falter. False hope led him on just far enough to answer her. "Peiter said to only give this to someone Tzirret very much likes and who likes him in return," Tzirret mumbled quickly, but closed his eyes rather than face La'khay, "He wanted to give it to you last night, but did not because of those words." Tzirret's voice became scathing towards himself, "...And because he is a stupid coward, like always."

Tzirret turned his face away now, ashamed at himself, "He also wanted to give it to you the night before last, and before that, but he is always a stupid coward. But, the more he hesitated, the more he hates himself for not doing so. He thought..." His voice wavered with emotion, "He thought he could be with La'khay. No one has been as nice to Tzirret as La'khay, he did not expect to receive kindness when he failed himself the first time. He did not expect anyone to call him handsome."

It was then that Tzirret let out a sob, but he tried to suppress it. With the heel of the hand that held the pendant, he struck his forehead in frustration and tried to growl away the tears. "He must have courage to say so or else remain tortured!" he said in Ta'agra, raising his voice. He looked at La'khay with tears streaming from his eyes, "Tzirret loves La'khay with all his heart! Not the distance from Nirn to the moons could cut it off!" Tzirret took a sudden, wheezing breath in, "But he knows..." he slowed down, "...that La'khay does not return it."

Tzirret looked down hopelessly. He could no longer stand to be there. He brushed off La'khay's hand and threw his pendant onto the ground, before sprinting off up the river shore with his clothing still under his arm.
Even though there was the feeling that she was imposing on everyone leaving, Sabine was also grateful to have some time along with Peiter in this state. She continued to pay the others no mind as they wandered off.

With her hands on Peiter's shoulders, Sabine looked down to where Peiter was referring to. "Oh, La'khay said that it would help me look pretty." She looked up at Peiter curiously, "I do not know, though, does it? It feels odd."

La'khay's voice was enough to cause Tzirret to stop in his tracks and turn around slowly. He felt he had been able to distract himself from his prior worries by socialising with Shanja, but they came roaring back quickly enough now that he and La'khay were alone.

As was often the case for Tzirret, fear overcame him when he tried to think of an answer. He looked down and away from La'khay for a while, fidgeting. He knew he had to do something now, else his circling feelings would continue to torment him. "This one has..." Tzirret struggled to start, his breathing uneven and his primal mind screaming to run away, "He has been tired, but...thinking too much. He..." Tzirret closed his mouth and sighed swiftly in frustration. His brow contorted and his ears flattened, trying to gather courage.

Perhaps instead of outright saying what he wanted to say, Tzirret frantically rummaged through the pockets of the breeches he held in his hands. "He made...something..." Tzirret paused and pulled out the moon pendant he had carved, "...He made you this!" He held the pendant forward in his palm and looked at La'khay pleadingly. His shoulders rose and fell in fast cycles as he tried to catch his breath. The pendant was just as intricate as when he had showed Peiter, Sabine, and Gallus, but he had purposely kept it hidden from La'khay until now.
Still smiling, Sabine took Peiter's hands. She had not expected Peiter's reaction to be quite so flattering, but it certainly made her feel as though the veritable makeover was a great success. To reduce his apprehension, she drew him closer and guided his arms around her body before bringing her own arms around him. Feeling his racing heart in his chest would have made Sabine's own heart rate fly up in empathy if it had not already been fluttering. Now bringing her forehead to his, she whispered, "I am glad you like it," and then kissed him without heed to those around her.

There was a patient silence for a few moments, but Tzirret had a bashful reaction to the public display of affection. "Ahem, this one thinks he will try the waters further upstream," Tzirret said, looking and sounding awkward. He then paddled to the shore, retrieved his belongings, and began walking a distance away.
"Cities...inside trees?" Tzirret repeated. By his raised eyebrow, he was sceptical of Jo'rashaad. However, a bright shape caught the corner of his eye before he could argue. He turned to see La'khay, a brighter-looking Ciinriel, and an unfamiliar girl with long, straight hair. It took him by wide-eyed surprise when she came close enough to be recognised as Sabine. He was dumbstruck at just how much she had transformed.

Sabine approached with a fast heartbeat and a growing sense of nervousness, but she was still excited enough to smile. An errant worry ran across her mind that she might look strange rather than beautiful to Peiter, though that was extinguished when Peiter saw her. His expression did not disappoint. Sabine let out a laugh and couldn't help but blush and push away a lock of hair abashedly. "Well, what is your opinion?" she asked.
