Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

I have nothing to do for the rest of the journey back. The next few things might come up shortly after returning or deferred as necessary. Whether we play them out as scenes or summarise them is no problem for me for most of them:

- Fendros sharing Llarasa's secret letters with Ahnasha. Might inspire them to try visiting Fendros' family in Cheydinhal if Fendros is convinced.
- Gallus going to find Yizan-Lei after discussing it with his pack again. A month or so after returning home at most. I'd rather not play out the entire journey, instead discussing how it would go OOCly and making a scene for Gallus' return.
- Kaleeth setting up a fist fighting group.
- Fendros and Ahnasha's wedding. Not sure when exactly this should occur or in what manner, but it'll be a break from the war.
- A short scene between Janius and Kaleeth regarding something on Janius' mind.
- Fendros and Ahnasha meet the Avarul family. Possibly. I have a good idea about how this will go.
- Najirra's death from old age. Vharei and Saraya take over as Bruma clan's agony aunts. This is really more of a ancillary detail, but quite a few of the cast have a lot to owe to Najirra, let alone the clan in general.
- Sabine and Peiter's relationship reaching an episode of some description. This will depend on Peiter's development after the experience of the battle, and all consequences thereof. Sabine only has so much resilience.
- Gallus trying to set Ri'vashi up with people. May or may not need scenes, but might be fun and/or character building. Also might be an opportunity to showcase Gallus and Ri'vashi's relationship after a while of being friends at Bruma.
- Something of a large curveball I've had incubating for a while. It should come into view at the five-ish month mark. It will very likely result in multiple scenes.
- Newt's naming day. I have no idea how this will go, but it won't happen for - what? - at least a year in?
- Something very important happening at the three year mark. Don't know the full implications yet, but it has happened as a result of previous character decisions.
- Scenes of the kids growing up. Maybe mark some character defining milestones with short scenes. A decade is a long time for them.
- Tzirret and Ma'tanza's letters. I don't know how much this will be played out, but they're both going to be moving on with their lives eventually.

So yeah, that's my to-do list with spoilers redacted. What do you think? Do you have any stuff you wanted to make a scene for?
"I won't force the child to do anything," Gallus assured. "I will be upfront about what he will be giving up if he accepts my offer, and I'll be just as clear about what he will gain. I just want the boy to be given a chance, that's all. If he refuses, I might leave him with coin from a few hides I can hunt and be on my way. It's..." Gallus rubbed behind one ear. "It's important, however, that he knows what happened to his mother. It's unfair to let him assume that he was abandoned. I'll handle getting the location of the clan's escape."

Although he did so nervously, Tzirret spoke up while looking at the ground. "This one...does not think it is a good idea either, Gallus." Tzirret swallowed. "Please, just...can we just go home for a while? All of this is too much to worry about."

Gallus nodded. "Of course. Like I said, we will talk about this another time in the future." Gallus reached his arms to Peiter and Uthri's shoulders either side of him. "We've all been through a lot this past few months. Let's go home, find ourselves, then we can think about unfinished business. How does that sound?"

Uthri was hunched and looking away with crossed arms. "You're a pig sometimes, Gallus," she muttered, albeit with less disdain than before. Uthri's packmates knew this as enough interim forgiveness to accept Gallus' words.

And the tentacles don't even show through the keyhole, that's keeping it classy.

Just 'cos it's a keyhole sweater, doesn't mean they need to go "popping out" like some kind of stage show. Jvan would never be that salacious in MY headcanon!
@poog the pig
Gallus had to look aside for a moment to think about Peiter's question. "I imagine..." he said. "That we will be organising our contingency plans soon after we bring this information to the council. Being that I was a witness to all this, I may be able to sit in on the meetings and be told where we would be heading."

"Gallus," Uthri still had her arms crossed, but was speaking in matters-of-fact. "If they even tell you, what makes you think that they'd let you take that information halfway across Tamriel, on your own, to something that you can't guarantee to be safe?"

There was a glance to Uthri, and a worried knotting of Gallus' brow. "A suppose I'll just have to find you myself, then."

"Don't you dare..." Uthri growled. She let her hands fall to her sides and raised her voice. "Don't you dare go running off after all that we've been through as a pack! Are we no better than those hens you ran away from in the clanhome? Is that what you think of us!?"

Gallus was speechless for the moment that Uthri left him to answer.

"I don't care about some sickly child miles away from us when we have our own problems!" Uthri's voice and expression turned from anger to pleading. She touched her fingers to her chest over her heart, tapping her hands to punctuate her speech. "Myself, Tzirret, Peiter, even you. We. Need. Each other right now, Gallus. You don't have to keep a promise to someone dead when your living family needs you. Please."

Tzirret turned his head from Uthri to Gallus, looking just as worried in his silence.

Uthri stared on, waiting for Gallus' answer.

Gallus stared back, blinked once, looked at the ground, and sighed. "I can see that this was put forth rather soon and suddenly. We'll have this chat again when we get home. I can postpone if we need to." He looked around to the pack's faces and tightened his lips back without smiling. "Perhaps I'll have to take you all with me."
Cool.
Was it advertised that it was hidden in Vowzra's plane?
I haven't read ahead yet, but are the whereabouts of the Codex of Creation still a secret?

Once a century passes and we're through this stagnant avatar fight, Toun's mind is going to feel Lazarus' bass, make inferences, and then mutter, "Swiggity swodex..."

It might be nice if he actually has to do some investigating.
Gallus sighed and nearly laughed at the torrent of questions from Peiter. He tried to calm him with a downturned hand. "Alright, slow down a moment now," he said. "Look, I can't say whether what she said was the truth. However, she knew well at that point that she was going to die. I had no more questions for her. There was no reason for her to lie, given her prior behaviour. As for telling strangers, I can keep a secret as easily as the next man. I wouldn't think to compromise us without considering the risks." Gallus turned his head to Uthri and Tzirret. "Even if I told one boy, he's not guaranteed to be believed if he tells other people." His eyes went to the dirt again. "As for the gas, there is little I can do about that except help ensure that the scholar's loft has all the resources it needs. I cannot know how long this child of hers has to live."

Uthri was still unconvinced. "This is ridiculous. How to you think you're going to cross Black Marsh on your own?"

"I'll only need to head in as far as Gideon," Gallus said flatly. "I can get a guide to help me if I need it."

Tzirret had been quiet until now, but he spoke up, more quietly than any of them. "How long will Gallus be gone?"

Gallus curled his lips to think. "Two months at most, probably less. I can travel fast on my own."

With a hand covering half her infuriated face, Uthri sighed heavily.
I thought they decayed to the point given on their creation sheets.
