Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

It's no issue. I didn't have any specific location in mind. Somewhere in the forest a short way off the road would be easy enough. Could even do it near the vineyard, it's right next to the woods.
"Very well," Calia nodded. "If it is the best way to ensure the safety of Fendros and his friends and family, I wish you all the best in those endeavours."

Calia's smile widened and her head turned to one side. "Now, I cannot help but eavesdrop on the conversation behind me." She slid around in her seat to better face Rhazii. "Hello again, child," she said endearingly.

Upon Ahnasha's suggestion, Rhazii and Ahnasha shuffled along the spaces on the pew to get closer to Calia. Unlike Monderyn, Calia seemed much more comfortable in Rhazii and Ahnasha's presence. Their exchange of words was with similar little anecdotes and stories as it was with Monderyn. There were some suggestions directly to Rhazii that seemed controlling and presumptuous of the parenting of Fendros and Ahnasha, but the exchange was otherwise pleasant.

Fendros and Monderyn spoke to each other at one edge of the room in hushed tones and with anxious faces. Monderyn in particular appeared agitated, constantly running his hands over his face or waving them around. Fendros was evidently trying to keep him moderated by placing a hand on his shoulder and speaking to him eye-to-eye.

Eventually, the children were getting tired and irate enough that movements were made to end the gathering and part ways. The pack and Fendros' family stood outside of the temple, Fendros had an arm around Ahnasha and Monderyn was bouncing on the balls of his feet, ready to head home. However, there was one more matter to resolve.

"Ahnasha, Meesei," Calia said. "Might we find somewhere out of the way so I might see one of you in...another form?"
I have a creative challenge of my own for the group:

Vulamera visited the minds of two gods. Vestec's mind was a tortured landscape housing the four deities he is composed of. Vakarlon's mind was a shifting labyrinth of suffering imprisoning Serandor.

So my question is this: What would the inside of your character's mind look like?

Well, I've not got much to do on the bus right now, so...

Calia lifted a gentle smile and angled her head curiously. "Your work? Do you intend to change the impression of lycanthropy? Or Hircine worship?"

"Now I know you're jesting," Monderyn said regarding the dragon bones. He turned his eyes to the door and then to Rhazii. "Well...Rhazii. I suppose I'll have to get used to being your uncle. You're uh..."

Monderyn trailed off and didn't resume his comments until Fendros gave him a slightly concerned look. "Fendros, could I speak to you for a moment?" Monderyn said, flicking his eyes over nearer to one of the altars.

"Of course," Fendros said.

The two of them stood up and walked away from Ahnasha and Rhazii.

Rhazii looked up at Ahnasha, big eyed with confusion. "Mama, did I say something bad?"
Anyone who turns up at Cornerstone will meet Toun. Anyone who turns up at Sularn's pad will meet Conata.
I didn't have any particular direction that I intended to take Monderyn's conversation. Unless you wanted to bring up something, that can probably wrap up once Meesei and Calia are done.

By the way, I have a few things on today. I probably won't be able to post until tomorrow.
Calia lowered her eyelids. "I understand." She had an expected disappointment in her voice. "All my children are sacred to me, but Fendros is my only son by blood, and my eldest. I would wish that his safety is held to just as high a regard to you as to me."

In an attempt to move on from her darker tone, Calia smiled and faced Meesei again. "I believe that is all the important details I wanted from you, Meesei. Your...pack is always welcome here, though I wish I could say the same of our home. Rossarm may not tolerate Fendros' presence, I am afraid."

Rhazii leaned back on the pew and pouted. He conceded with an "okay," but he was still disappointed.

Meanwhile, Monderyn looked ambivalent. "Chaurus eggs? You mean those large insect creatures? I thought they were poisonous."

"Their eggs have a lot of uses. They aren't poisonous," Fendros explained. "The adults are, though. You have to be careful with them."

Monderyn brought a hand to his face. "I feel like you're next going to tell me that you're farming dragons like cattle."

Fendros held back his head in a quick laugh. "Can't go telling you everything now, can we?"

"Mama?" Rhazii asked, apparently not too disappointed to retreat from the conversation outright. "Can the Bosmer really tame dragons?"
"I think I understand," Calia said. "You would still be under threat, but if it is single combat, as you say, the I suppose Fendros and his new family would not be caught in the middle. Ideally. That is some comfort."

Calia's tone softened for her next question. "Moving on, I think this will be the last of my little interrogation here. You mentioned that you are visiting your home. How often do you think would Fendros be able to visit here, given your travels?"

Fendros laughed with Ahnasha. "We are not getting a chaurus."

Rhazii giggled along as well. He knew what a chaurus was, but he likely did not understand the depths of keeping one as much as the rest of them. As for answering Ahnasha, he had to stop and think. "Um..." he hummed for a time. "A horse size!?"

At that, Monderyn's eyes widened ever so slightly. He had not been told how big wamasus were either. Given the comparisons to a dog earlier, he was probably still in that mindset until now.
Calia listened on with interest to Meesei's background. Again, it was difficult to read her expression, let alone what her thoughts might be regarding Meesei's story.

"If you have been taught native Argonian magic, I have no doubt as to your abilities. Respect and care was employed near such people as 'treeminders' back in Morrowind." Calia raised her chin curiously. "I had not expected one from the marsh to be so well spoken. Although, you must have had plenty of practice by now." Calia smiled, but quickly returned to being serious. "Tell me, Meesei. If there was a more powerful lycan than you, someone who challenged you, what would happen?"

Monderyn drew his head back slightly when Ahnasha raised her finger stump. "You lost your finger to a mudcrab?"

"No, it was something else," Fendros clarified quickly, before looking to Ahnasha's finger as well. "Well, you've lost it now. It can't harm you any more, right?"

Rhazii turned himself to look up at his parents. "Mama, dada, can we get a bird?" he asked. "Can we get a dog as well?"

Fendros let out a small laugh. "I'm afraid not, little one."

"Please!" Rhazii said in length.

"Now, pets are a big responsibility, Rhazii," Fendros explained. He raised a finger to Rhazii and tapped him on the forehead. "You're a growing boy, but you have a lot to learn before you get yourself a pet. They don't come as cleverly as Leaps is."

Rhazii argued further. "Then why do we get Leaps...if we can't have other pets?"

"Ah, now Leaps was taken in by Janius and Kaleeth. They trained him, fed him, made sure he didn't run off..."

"Then Janius and Kaleeth can train a bird and a dog!"

Fendros smiled. "Possibly, but if you want a bird or a dog, you will have to train it yourself, Rhazii. Kaleeth and Janius won't train it for you."

Rhazii stopped to frown and think, then looked at Fendros defiantly. "I can do that."

"Do you know how?"

Rhazii paused again. "Yes!"

Fendros angled his head forward. "Tell me."

"You...um..." Rhazii shot a hand up with his fingers pinching the air. "You give it treats!"

Fendros turned to Ahnasha with the same smile persisting. "What do you think, Ahna?"
