Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Cool, I'll get a post in later tonight.
Some time then would be appropriate, I think. What's going to be involved in the naming ceremony? Would they have to source some hist sap?
Yep, Newt would be about four.

Gallus might be at the naming day ceremony. It depends whether Janius and Kaleeth have a small thing with just the pack or something with more family friends.
I don't think it would be worth playing that out unless we did a few scenes depicting Ariel and Rukeewei's life in the clanhome, and I don't think that's really needed.
I just had Newt's naming day on the list, but I didn't have anything solid planned for that. If you don't have much of anything either, I guess we could summarise it. It's up to you what Newt's name will be. People will probably keep calling him Newt as a nickname, though.
I reckon this scene is about done.
"As you wish, general," Gallus replied with a smile. "Something interesting would..." He stopped to tip the last dregs of his ale down his throat and looked inside his mug. "First of all, another drink. Then I think we might join the rest of the crowd over there." Gallus waved a thumb at the group that included Uthri. "They have plenty of interesting things to talk about."

Gallus stood up. "Oh, slap me if you like, but I'll be honest. I was going to introduce a few fine Khajiit gentlemen to you tonight if I found out that you had been antisocial while I was away. I'm glad I don't need to."
"Well..." Gallus stopped and let out the rest of his breath. He scratched at his chest and turned his eyes away, shifting his tone. "You're right. I apologise, I merely became excited. Whatever I yammer on about, you shouldn't stop doing what you think is best for you. I'm not your parent." He chuckled.

Ri'vashi's final clarification gave Gallus the opportunity to dodge the question of his happiness outside of a relationship. He took it without hesitation.

"I'm just teasing you," he said with a grin. "I could tease you with your proper title if you like, general."
Gallus held a gentle smile. "Never said you were, clan leader." He twisted his mouth and took a deep breath. "That said-" he itched the side of his nose, "-perhaps you should ask if you can join him and his friends more. Perhaps probe the situation more out of a professional setting. You might excuse yourself from taking a chance in your own mind, but it won't be there forever. Go on and take a chance!"

While lifting his mug to his lips, Gallus paused halfway and caught Ri'vashi's eye. "Although, maybe don't try just getting drunk with him and gushing until you can lift him into bed. That was sweet and all, but I tend to be more open to those situations than most." He drank another swig and held his fist to his mouth to direct a quiet burp through his nose. "Try a romantic dinner or something, I don't know."
"I see, that makes more sense," Gallus said, raising his lips in concession.

When a teasing retort came his way, he smiled again and narrowed his eyes. "Well, you should have said so if you wanted it rough," he shot back. "Even with the wine, I remember that you were so nervous it was a wonder you didn't hurt yourself."

Gallus sat up straight again to drink and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Regardless, what's he like outside of the ring?"
