Personality: When you first meet Ray he may come off as an arrogant kind of person and self centered but once you do get to know him Ray is a very caring person and also has been known to make witty comments every now and then. Those he is close with Raymond is very loyal to and would do anything to protect them and make them happy. He is slowly trying to amend things with Kellie and his baby girl Anastasia since he has been reunited with them and he would do absolutely anything to keep the two of them safe even if it means he would lose his life for them.
Raymond is also very good at what he does and is easy to get onto a person's good side. Raymond is good when he sees someone is lying to them whenever they do, he has been known to call out on those who lie or are hiding something from him. Raymond is also a very calm person most of the time, but when it comes to Kellie and Ana or if the two of them are in trouble he will become easily stressed and wishes to never see the two of them harmed.

Your First Walker Encounter: Raymond was investigating into a story that a contact of his had given him for one of his stories he had been working on for a local news station in El Paso Texas. Which was a corrupt city official stealing water from the city as well as money, he had snuck into the man's house as he did this Raymond started to search around the house until he made his way to the upper floor of the mansion he lived in. As Raymond explored the upper floor he started to notice that things had been toppled over, and a huge mess of papers, books, glass and other things were strewn across the floor.
When Raymond entered the bedroom he noticed a woman on top of the city official, and then he could see the blood all over the floor Raymond quickly took out his camera and took a picture. What he didn't realize was that he had the flash still on which the woman's attention turned towards Ray. He saw the blood all over her face and slowly started to stumble its way closer towards him, getting freaked out Raymond started backing away until he fell backwards. The infected woman started getting closer Raymond tried to talk to her but didn't get any words from her. Then he felt he was in danger, Raymond quickly reached for a blunt object, when she was upon him Ray quickly whacked the girl over the head causing the woman to fall. Completely freaked out Raymond ran out of the house and made his way back to the car and drove as far away as he could.
History Before Outbreak: Raymond was born as an only child, Ray's father Antonio was an immigrant from Parral Mexico he moved from Mexico to live in the US and got citizenship. That's when Raymond's father met Anastasia Raymond's father, Ray's father ended up becoming a police officer, while Ray's mother worked as an elementary school teacher. Living a rather normal life Raymond had made quiet a lot of friends in high school, he got good grades in school and rarely ever got into trouble. When Ray got to high school he joined his school's news paper club and even did some high school news, which he enjoyed it quiet a lot and eventually decided to become an journalist. Raymond eventually also started to take up Tae Kwon Do classes his father wanted him to learn some self defense.
Shortly after Ray graduated high school Ray decided to go into college to pursue his career in journalism he then moved out to Amarillo Texas. Raymond's college life was fairly normal and he enjoyed his time there nothing interesting had happened, he eventually got a job as a journalist for Amarillo's local news station during his career as an investigative journalist he eventually learned how to pick locks to try and break into buildings to try and get information for his stories. Shortly after getting a call from his father, he had heard the bad news his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Ray was very close to his mother, he would stop by at a local flouriest shop where he had met Kellie who would eventually become his girlfriend as well as the mother of his daughter. The two started to talk and hang out, which eventually turned into a romance and the two started dating.
Sadly Ray's mother ended up dying from her illness, he took it hard and started to be consumed by his work he found out that Kellie was pregnant. Raymond lied to her and said that work was way more important to him, he eventually moved on from her, much to how he wanted Ray didn't think of himself being a good father and decided to try and move on.
History Since Outbreak: After what had happened that night in El Paso Ray decided he had enough and quickly tried to make his way back towards Amarillo where he knew that Kellie was still living there. Of course as he was trying to leave the city of El Paso things suddenly started to become worse. The city's power was shut off, and then the military and police started blockading the city and put up safe zones where Raymond was forced to stay in. Raymond couldn't get out he stayed there for several days until the military couldn't contain the dead in the city any longer, and when he had the opportunity Raymond took it and stole a car and bashed through the gates.
It would be several more days avoiding as many people as possible, after what he witnessed in El Paso Ray eventually made it to Amarillo and tried to look for Kellie even checking her shop. When he couldn't find her he thought either she made it out or the worse, Raymond started to travel east. He eventually found a group that he stuck with, he became a recruiter seeing whoever they came across would fit of course this group didn't last long. The group he was apart of never stayed in one place for to long, and when they heard of walls Ray's group were suspicious due to past experiences two years ago. They slowly one by one lost more and more people until they made it to Hoover Alabama where the last of Ray's group eventually were killed off by a horde. Leaving Ray alone by himself, Raymond continued to travel east alone when he finally came to Columbus Georgia a year later.
While searching for supplies Raymond one night he could see a fire in the distance being desperate for food and hungry he spotted her, Kellie someone he didn't think he would ever see again. He was shocked to see her still alive, then he could see the little girl sleeping he understood why she wanted to keep her distanced from him and couldn't blame him. But he wanted to help, and hopefully rebuild the trust with Kellie and try and start anew. Raymond started to teach Kellie how to shoot both a handgun and a rifle, and since then the three of them have been traveling together ever since.
