Robert looked up at Clyde, and exhaled, disappointed that he would make excuses for her. He thought it to be quite evident that this girl lacked the proper respect for the sacramentum. Normally he would chew her out a bit more, but these people clearly didn’t want to make a scene. He decided he would drop it. For now.
“And you are?” He paused. Perhaps he should have introduced himself first. This was confirmed upon him hearing , “I would like to note that it is considered rude to simply butt-in on a conversation without so much as an 'excuse me'.” Robert looked at the group at this, “My apologies, My name’s Robert, I didn't mean to offend, I just really care about the sacramentum.” He clarified. He was always raised to hold this bond with utmost respect, given that his parents were bonded. ” I shouldn't have just forced myself in like that, I was simply surprised is all. I’m sure she didn’t mean any disrespect.” He certainly believed that too. Few people were ever rude on purpose, at least not for any reason. He smiled, before asking, “And who are you all?” He should still be able to back track, and hopefully not offend these people too much.
As the train slid to a stop, Robert closed his book shut while exhaling. A smile crept onto his face, happy to be back at school. He stood, and slid his literature into his pack, before collecting his luggage and leaving the train, his hands shaking with excitement. This past summer dragged by, taunting him with the sweet promise of finding out more about himself than ever before come its end. He hurried through Enklen, eventually coming upon a blueblood girl, and heard "As for my wishes towards my familiar, I only wish him to be a well-mannered person that would not annoy me. Like you, I wouldn't care what ability he might have. I would mostly use him to learn my spells after all,"
Robert closed his eyes, and counted to ten in his head. That was utterly … infuriating. But he was, of course, better than letting his emotions completely get to him. Still, something as egregious as that simply could not stand. He slowed his pace, and propped up his glasses on his nose. “That’s really not ok to say.” He said quietly and clearly, making the fact that he heard Lilac say that quite clear. “The bond between a mage and their familiar is something to be respected. They’re not there to simply be used by you.” He said, his voice calm, and controlled but cutting at the same time. He stepped next to her, making eye contact, and giving her a chance to rescind her erroneous comment.
15 years old, bisexual male. Robert has slicked back brown hair, and deep brown eyes, veiled by glasses beset upon his small nose. He stands at around 5’6”, and has a soft, face with clear, white skin. He’s normally found wearing the short sleeve button down and loose slacks configuration of the dress code, preferring to take comfort where he can within the bounds of the rules.
Robert is a meek and kind boy, who doesn’t care much to step outside of the bounds of the rules. He holds himself in high regard, but defers what’s outside of his authority to those who are supposed to be his betters. He cares most about bettering his magical ability, be that through study or practice, he wants to make himself as powerful as possible.
Robert is son to a Mother who researches and teaches theoretical magic at one of the top colleges in the country in the city of Erridún, and his father is his’s mother’s familiar, who works alongside her. As such, his family is very well off, and have always had high expectations for Robert. This was a core tenant of his childhood, that he was supposed to be better somehow than his peers, and thusly never got away with much as a child. His parents were quick to reprimand and punish him when he did wrong, making sure he’d do as his parents expected of him. As a child, he didn’t have any trouble at all making friends, people finding him affable, even if he could be a bit grating at times with his strict adherence to rules. Through Middle School, though he obviously couldn’t practice magic, his parents taught him a lot about magical theory and the principals behind it.

“Me? Cheat?”, Robert asked, trying to remain calm as quickly shifted his eyes forward onto his paper, avoiding eye contact as much as possible. This was it. “Quite obviously.” The teacher said, “Now look at me when I’m talking to you.”
Robert swallowed hard and looked up to meet the gaze of his teacher, his eyes welling up, before he regained control of himself, and exhaled, “Of course not, sir” He said pointedly, “I apologize for any semblance of that, but I would never.” He said quietly, before attempting to continue to his test, knowing he’d have to fail or pass the rest of this test on his own merit alone.

“I’m sorry?” Robert asked, smiling for a moment, before giving a cough and crossing his arms, a bemused smile on his face, before his friend affirmed their sentiment, causing Robert to straighten himself up.
“Oh.” He deadpanned, feeling any bit of doubt leave him as he realized this wasn’t a game. He paused for a minute, and then made a fist in his hand, not holding back anger, but rather himself together. “Well you can just fuck right off then.” He said, his voice sounding strained. He couldn’t be around him right now, not after he betrayed his trust. He motioned for him to leave, slamming the door behind him, before exhaling, and letting out of breath. He let himself go limp, his back slumping against the door, as he rubbed his temples. Tears started to roll down his cheeks, and he sniffled, and wiped his tears away. His friend wasn’t worth tears. He wasn’t worth anything.
