Hey Dharc, would your char have been a guard up until Janolf took over and then he's a sellsword? And whether or not that's how it works, how you planning on getting him together with the rest of the group? Eventually... :P

And if whole families can wind up as outcasts, is it not possible that a shaman might displease a warlord enough to be set aside? I'm sure violent politics include some form of religious contention between ambitious shamans and new ideas shamans and traditional shamans...

I've got myself a middle-aged thief of good morals but flexible ethics who isn't exactly a pinnacle of society, though he used to be a relatively good thief. Unfortunately for his profession, he also, currently, isn't in possession of permanent thumbs and lives among the Ilvance Emperor's hounds, as one of them... I was thinking he might tag along because he befriended little Darlond. Who reminds him of his own little girl, and thus, he'd have a bit of fatherly instinct motivating him there.
