Bunny! How dare you twist the truth!

<Snipped quote>

Abigail didnt run after her pokemon! She ran after the Spinarak who ruined her hair cut! :P

Ofcourse, Alex doesnt know that. So if no one is going to tell him then he will never know. :P

Oops, my bad. I fell too far into Melody-land~

I'm about to change that into "your Pokemon or a Pokemon you were about to catch"~!

Let's just say that Melody has a slightly distorted view of the world.

-edit-

<Snipped quote by Zoldyck>

Don't worry, i got your back ;)

Oops. I changed it already, since I forgot that Abigail hadn't been running after Nidoran after all. Did you want me to change it back?
Abigail is lucky Swinub still doesn't know Ice beam or else...
I'll get to posting now..

Shit is hitting the fan. XD

This group is even more dysfunctional than the HA one! By the way, Vec, I just posted too, in case you've already started~!

Also, you know there's something seriously weird going on when the yandere is the one playing peacemaker.
~Melody Hemlock~

“Wow, okay," said Abigail, snickering.. "That is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. So, what, are you a little mama's girl or something? Ooh, no, I bet you're a daddy's girl, aren't you? You're out here on this adventure with some lame excuse like 'It'll be fun' or 'Because they wanted me too' or something, right?"

She paused, and then started up again. "I bet that you think you'll be a good trainer one of these days. Don't make me laugh, loser. You'll never be a decent trainer. You won't even be a good trainer! You can't even keep that mutt of yours under control for more than five seconds.”

“So why don't you," Abigail pressed one finger to Peggy’s shoulder and shoved her, gently. "Run on home to Cherrygrove and to daddy and mama before you get hurt out here, amateur, and let us big girls take care of things."

Abigail was being kind of blunt, but… surely she didn’t mean to. She was probably just a little too honest for her own good: nothing a few etiquette classes couldn’t solve. And she clearly meant well, right? She was trying to spur Peggy on to being a great trainer and proving her wrong, right?

It was obvious that that was what she was doing. Melody had seen it a hundred times in her novels. But…

It was terrible, and Melody couldn’t help but feel guilty about it, but she was a little glad that Abigail hadn’t reacted well to Peggy’s suggestion. After all, if Abigail had decided that she liked Peggy more than she liked Melody, then…

Well, Melody didn’t know what she’d do. Or rather, she knew exactly what she would do, and just didn’t want to admit it to herself.

Her knife felt like it was burning a hole through her pocket, and she resisted the urge to touch it.

She’d never show that ugly side of her to Abigail. Never.

And then the short guy who’d gotten distracted by something wandered up, and as soon as he opened his mouth, Melody immediately came to the conclusion that she didn’t like him. At all.

She forgot all about any resentment that she’d been feeling towards Peggy. This guy was a hundred times worse.

"Hey guys, what the hell happened to all of you, you look terrible!” said Alex. Then he turned to Abigail. “Except for you, I love your new hairstyle. I think it really fits your inner self.”

Melody’s eyes widened. What had he said? How dare he say something like that to Abigail? That was clearly out of line.

“I don’t know what happened to all of you,” Alex continued. “But I know for certain that we should head to Cherrygrove. It's much closer and I dont want to be in the caves when night falls. Elm told us to go to Cherrygrove, so lets listen to the man who has years of experience, alright?"

He turned away, striding forward to the front of the group. "Ooh, and who ever was responsible for this whole mess you guys were in, I think you should appologise to the entire group cause it were your actions who put them all in danger. Alright?"

Melody clenched her fists, and then forcefully relaxed them. She didn’t like this boy. She wanted to make him regret what he’d said to Abigail. How dare he? How dare he?

No. No, no, Melody, calm down. She couldn’t show how angry she was. She had to stay composed. She couldn’t let Abigail see that she was feeling such ugly emotions.

But that boy insulted her, whispered a small, wicked part of her. Shouldn’t she be happy that Melody was defending her? Shouldn’t she want to see this boy suffer like Melody could make him suffer?

Melody shook it off. She’d make Alex regret what he’d said later.

“Excuse me,” she said, cutting in. Her expression was perfectly neutral, and her voice was as friendly and polite as usual, but she gave Alex a pointed look. “There’s no need for any of us to fight, or to apologize for what happened. The Spinarak incident was no one’s fault. If your Pokemon or a Pokemon that you're about to catch runs off into the woods, then obviously you’ll chase after it, right? I mean… didn’t you do the exact same thing, Alex? The only difference is that none of us chased after you.”

She sighed, and pasted a smile on her face. “And about where we’re going… like I said, we should just vote on it. We’re perfectly reasonable people, aren’t we? Right now, the vote is three in favor of Blackthorn and two in favor of Cherrygrove. If more of us want to go to Blackthorn as opposed to Cherrygrove, then that’s where we should go, and vice versa. That way, we’ll settle everything nicely.”

She wanted to hurt Alex. But she’d do nothing for now.

Is it bad if I can easily RP an insane character but have trouble with mean characters?

RPing insane characters is one of the easiest things for me, oddly enough. But I really cant RP a mean character, I dont like insulting people, even if they are only imaginary.

I... can't do either. So no, not weird at all. Like, Melody's infatuation with Abigail is easy enough, it's just... The violent part is hard. But fun! But still hard. :)

-edit-
Oh, right, I forgot to fix that. I did it after he left, so we could keep track of who's who, and stuff.

-edit edit-
Fixed~!
<Snipped quote by Nightmare Bunny>

I would ofcourse preffer it if everything remained peacefull.

But I'm not afraid to quote Crocodile Dundee once something like that might occur... :P

"You have a knife, I have a knife. It appears we both have knives?"

Well, unless Alex resorts to physical violence first, Melody will probably content herself with some mean little pranks. XD

Writing her angry moments is super hard, actually, because I myself am... decidedly not insane.
<Snipped quote by Nightmare Bunny>

I'm fine with that, Penny has already had enough stuff to deal with and a yandere should not be added to that list.

Yeah, probably not~! I was feeling a little grateful myself. I kind of wanted to maintain Melody's sort of friendship with Peggy for a little while. And this way they can have a knife fight!

Oooooh, do you want to have a knife fight?
Posted... And I hate Abigail... So I'll give you my compliments on your writing Rune, it really makes me hate your character. :P

Congrats, dude, you've successfully diverted Melody's fury away from Peggy! XD

Alex better watch his back...
Ooooh, I feel worried for Peggy now D8

You… probably should, actually. I think I'm a little scared of Melody.

See, this is the problem!!! I hate antagonizing other people, and so when actual conflict starts happening, I don't know what to do!

Good morning/afternoon everyone! I'm baaaack! (Kinda)

So... how is everyone doing and what did I miss? :)

I just woke up~!

And you didn't miss much. We're about to vote on Cherrygrove VS. Blackthorn.

“I can take care of it myself,” said Abigail, pulling out a bottle of expensive-looking shampoo. Examining the label, Melody found herself rather impressed. That was a good brand.

"Straight from Kalos,” Abigail continued. "I made sure to come prepared. Not to mention the other stuff I have in here specifically for taking care of my hair.” She tucked the shampoo bottle away. "But yes, I can handle my hair myself. I'm not letting anyone else even touch it."

Melody sighed. Well, not trusting anyone else to mess with her hair… Melody could understand that. It was pretty wise, in fact! Just as expected from Abigail.

“Oh, of course!” she said, smiling even despite her disappointment. “I totally understand.”

And then Avery, who had taken a little while to think his answer through, nodded and said, “I don’t wanna be bald. Please and thank you.”

Melody beamed. She’d known she had a good feeling about this guy. “Great!” she said. He was a good deal taller than her, so she tugged him down more to her level, whipped out her trusty hair brush, and started brushing out most of the webbing, careful not to tug too hard.

Brushing the stuff out of Avery’s brown hair was kind of fun, actually. Once upon a time, Melody had wanted to be a hair stylist… of course, she’d also wanted to be a pastry chef, and a teacher, or maybe even a farmer. But none of those professions were appropriate for a proper young lady, or so her mother had told her, at least.

After that little impromptu haircare session was done, she released him, patting him on the shoulder. She suddenly liked Avery a whole lot more than she originally had. It was probably because he wasn’t really a threat to Abigail, and he let her play with his hair. Which was always a plus.

“When we get… wherever we’re going,” she told him, absentmindedly finishing up her own hair as well. “You’re going to have to borrow my shampoo and wash your hair out properly. There’s still some webbing left in there! All I got out was the dry stuff.”

"So, where did we decide we were going? I still think Blackthorn would be best," said Abigail.

"I-I don't-" That was Peggy. Melody frowned. She didn’t… agree with Abigail? Why not?

“Elm said Blackthorn, right? He always gives some good advice. I say we follow it,” Avery said.

"But, I thought-" Peggy, again.

And then someone emerged out of the blue, and… hey, wasn’t that the singing guy who’d nearly gotten eaten by his own Totodile? He was back? She’d kind of assumed that he’d gone off with some other trainers, but nope! He was back!

"Whoa, I leave for a while and when I come back all hell has broken loose. What happened?" said the boy.

Of course, that was exactly when Peggy decided to burst forth with her own little speech. "I... we... I-I think we should go to Cherrygrove! I-I m-mean, err, that it's closer a-and our Pokemon are p-probably tired already s-so we should go there, A-and I have f-f-family there, so t-they p-probably w-w-want to know I'm o-okay... So... I think we should..." She stopped, and stared at her feet.

“We accidentally wandered into a Spinarak nest,” Melody told the musician boy. “But it was okay. We fought them off. Abigail was really cool! And the rest of us helped too.”

More importantly, though… Peggy didn’t want to go to Blackthorn? But why? Did she just dislike Abigail, or something? Well, to be honest, it probably would be more reasonable to go to Cherrygrove. But…

Well, Melody didn’t like it. She felt a surge of resentment. What if Peggy was just trying to get Abigail’s attention? That wouldn’t do. That wouldn’t do at all.

Still, she forced a smile. It looked pretty natural, actually. Melody had always been good at lying. “Why don’t we do a vote then?” she said, fairly cheerfully. “That way everyone gets a say. But you can abstain if you want. It’s pretty obvious that Abigail and Avery are voting for Blackthorn, and Peggy’s voting for Cherrygrove, right? I guess I’ll throw my vote in for Blackthorn, myself. I do want that Zubat, after all, and I don’t think we can get one on the way to Cherrygrove.”

There. That sounded plenty reasonable. Right?
<Snipped quote by XxFellsingxX>

I dunno. I mean, Rune's pretty great at portraying a jerkface xD

He really is~! I'm terrible at it, personally. I feel really guilty and that's how I end up with characters like Dorian who literally cannot do anything but be squishy marshmallows, no matter how hard they try.

Also, I'm working on a post~! :D
