Astra intercepted another creature attempting to reach Taotie. The impact glanced harmlessly from her body (her clothes only getting worse for wear) before she grabbed the creature and crushed it. Her radiant gaze burned another creature down before it could enter the chamber.

Gadg8eer remained above in the warehouse. From his position he could continue gathering supplies, but the sounds of battle echoed from the basement below with no sign that the fighting was ending. (He'll need to go back down stairs if he wants to join the fight)

The Siren Sisters' telepathic song reached a handful of the creatures pressing against the First Order. A handful hesitated and turned their attention toward the unfamiliar thoughts filling their minds. The First Order took advantage of the opening, driving their pikes into distracted foes and dropping the handful. Behind the pikes, five Shield Maidens materialized once again and immediately formed up to reinforce the line.

McCoy's rope cracked through the air and struck one of the creatures climbing through the opening. Using the opening, McCoy slipped into one of the descending passages leading down.

Zeldrin followed behind McCoy successfully with Ratigan, Whiskers, and Repscallion close behind. The passage quickly grew darker as broken stone and ancient masonry narrowed around them.

Taotie was able to fly toward the opening but her magic would need heed her call currently. (She's currently using her E grade transformation as a pixie, so the E grade ability will be used until she cancels her form or the hour expires. Her F grade ability was used to keep her flying). One of the monsters still at the mouth of the fissure will leap at the 4ft pixie fluttering towards it. (defend yourself)

As McCoy and Zeldrin descended, movement appeared ahead in the gloom. Several of the pale creatures rounded broken stonework farther down the passage and rushed toward them on all fours, using the walls and collapsed rubble as readily as the floor. They had 4 creatures crawling toward them at any given time. The passage was narrow enough that Zeldrin and McCoy could not stand shoulder to shoulder.

Above, the defenders noticed the pressure easing. Creatures still emerged from the fissure, but only in scattered bursts rather than the constant stream from before. Roughly half as many now reached the chamber. Shield Maidens disappear as they fighting up top became very much in hand but not yet ended.

Bones reached Xune first and drove her clear of the guardian's grasp. Her ice rose into the path of the blade rush, slowing it just enough for the tackle to carry her out from beneath the strike.

The guardian's arm blades crushed Bones instead. The impact shattered his body, scattering bones and armor across the floor where he had dove moments before. His sword spun away across the chamber while the guardian paused over the pile of remains, its gaze fixed downward as green light gathered around the scattered bones. The giant paused briefly to consider what had happened before it looked for where the tiny spider had gotten to.

K.i.D. reached the warehouse entrance but found his path blocked by a faint orange barrier stretching across the doorway. People outside continued about their day without noticing anything unusual inside. Searching the warehouse, he found broken shelving, loose lumber, coils of rope, iron nails, empty barrels, cargo hooks, damaged lanterns, hammers, crowbars, pickaxes, shovels, and several cracked crates. None were immediately useful in the middle of the fight, but many could be repurposed with enough time.

McCoy's first lasso caught one of the advancing creatures around its upper body before slipping free as it continued forward. His second strike wrapped briefly around another creature's arm before it shook itself loose. Both monsters hesitated for a moment, sweeping their heads from side to side as they searched for whatever had disturbed them before resuming their advance.

Nyana's Hands of Sheegigro completed their summoning and charged into the melee beside the First Order. Greatswords carved into the creatures pressing against the front while the pikemen continued driving back those attempting to force their way through. The front line held, though more creatures continued climbing into the chamber along both flanks.

Within the fissure, Astra burned through a few of the creatures pinning her arm before the radiant beam blasted stone. The damaged debris of the fissure gave way with a loud crack. Rock and broken masonry collapsed onto the swarm, crushing many of the creatures beneath the debris and briefly choking off the route they had been using. Astra could then blast the rock off of her and fly back up to the chamber. The party would note she was covered in bloody wounds and her outfit was in tatters. Any normal person likely woulda been dead several times over. It was also notable that after the collapse, no more creatures funneled into Astra's portion of the fissure so now the full force of the monster horde was pouring from the fissure. Nyana's minions were be struggling.

Taotie's Mana Blast struck the creature lunging for her and killed it before it could reach her. Two more immediately changed direction from the opening and rushed her position. One bounded across broken stone while the other stayed low, attempting to close the distance before springing upward with claws extended. (defend yourself Taotie)

Repscallion found little room to fight between the First Order and the charging Hands of Sheegigro. The lizard managed only a few glancing strikes before larger combatants filled the space. Zeldrin likewise found himself unable to reach the front as the defenders occupied the available ground.

Kaitori took advantage of McCoy's distraction. Her cuts dropping the 2 creatures pursuing her, leaving the flank around her temporarily secure.

More claws reached over the edge of the fissure as additional creatures continued climbing into the chamber (notice the pattern XD ).

Sister Valeria's breathing had become noticeably heavier as cracks of orange light spread farther across the seal beneath her hand.

"Stop holding the chamber. Push them back through the first gate below. I can restore the seal once they're behind it, but these creatures will not stop coming while the passage remains open. Be careful about collapsing any more of the opening or we will not be able to fight them and they will just find another way out in time."

Xune's dodge kept her from taking the full force of the guardian's swing, but the edge of the blow still caught her and sent her tumbling across the chamber with injuries.

Xune's skeletons intercepted the attack meant for Bones. The guardian's blade smashed through them, destroying every one of the undead servants, but their sacrifice spared Bones from the strike. Xune's barriers formed around herself and Bones moments later.

The guardian immediately advanced on Xune. Both arms raised together like a cone shape plow, they surged toward her trying to crusher her. (defend yourself)
