If you sneeze, fart and burp at the same time your heart will explode. In fact, that's what killed the dinosaurs.

Very nice. Do you want to start or should I? If I start I probably wont have it up until tomorrow.
Miles nodded as Karah told him about taking a bus and heading out of here. While he still thought just up and leaving wasn't a good plan. Something didn't sit right with him about what was going on. A knock on the door interrupted them both. He watched Karah slowly walk towards the door and look out the peephole. Her face turned pale as she turned to Miles and mouthed the name "Diamond". It took him a second, but he remembered the girl from the restaurant. His eyes went wide. Then he heard something that made the pit in his stomach grow ever bigger. She said she didn't want to hurt her, that bad.

Miles wasn't one to hurt a woman, but this seemed like an extenuating circumstance. He quickly went to the kitchen and fished out a steak knife. It wasn't much, but he felt a little more confident with it. He returned and whispered to Karah. "I'm going to talk to her. If she doesn't go away call the cops." Before she could interject Miles went to the door. "I don't know how you are, but whoever you're looking for isn't here." Miles looked out the peephole and saw Diamond step back from the door. "You're the cute looking guy she was with the other day." Diamond said.

"Look lady." Miles started. "I live here alone. I've only been to classes. I haven't been out of campus." He watched as Diamond started to turn away. "Alright then mister big and bad. I guess I'm wrong and I'll leave you alone. If ever want a real woman though." She turned and ran her finger down the front of her shirt. "You just let me know." Miles watched as she walked away and disappeared into the darkness. He breathed a sigh of relief as he turned back to Karah.
Been a busy few days at work. And you tell that man to calm himself.
Also, how do we go from here? Miles or Karah somehow get's attacked and infected or do you want to go another route? Maybe they meet up with someone who knows what's happening?
Miles' face went white. "Y...yea he did." He stammered. Miles' stomach dropped to his feet. "This is crazy." He said standing up. "Nothing's wrong, it's just all...weird." He didn't know if he was saying it to calm himself of Karah. He saw the frightened look on Karah's face. He sat down and put his arm around her. He pulled he close to him. He kissed the forehead as she put her head on his shoulder. "We just don't know what's going on." Miles said softly.

"Tell you what." Miles said trying to perk the situation up. "We can't just leave. We have nowhere to go and noway to get there, Let's stay here today. We can figure out what to do for tomorrow." He smiled slightly as he pulled her chin up so he could look in her eyes. "It's dangerous just to run out of here without a plan. That sound good to you? Give it today to get a plan together? I promise I won't let anything happen to you."
Not a problem. So, how were your days off?
Well, Buddhism is more a philosophy rather then a religion. It's basically how to be a decent person. I'm not that religious myself.
Miles locked the door behind him. He followed Karah into the bedroom. He watched as she sat down on the bed and told him about her nightmare. He sat down on the bed next to her and tried to comfort her. He couldn't get rid of the dark pit in his stomach. He kept thinking back to how weird Jimmy was acting. He turned and looked at Karah. She must have seen a look of concern on his face. She asked him what was wrong.

He thought about not saying anything at first. He didn't need to worry her more than she already was. However, that pit in his stomach wouldn't go away. Growing up, his dad had always taught him to follow his instincts. He looked at Karah and sighed. "It's probably nothing." Miles started. "My roommate, Jimmy, was acting kind of, strange. I can't really explain it. He was being very, monotone. Almost like a robot trying to imitate people. What really freaked me out was that he called me Miles. He's never called me Miles. He always calls me John Wayne. I'm probably freaking out over nothing." Miles finished trying to force a small smile.
I'll have something up this weekend.
I used to read a ton. I still try and read a book a month. It's usually different Buddhist books. But I throw in a good Koontz book here and there.
Miles jogged across campus towards his dorm. He didn't want to mention it, but he was a little on edge. In his mind he was saying it was just some rabid animal, but something in his gut said otherwise. Miles reached his dorm room and unlocked it. As he opened it, Jimmy was standing right in the middle of the room. Just, staring at him. It had looked like Jimmy had been standing there for quite some time. As if waiting for Miles. "Hey uh, Jimmy." Miles said a little taken aback. 'Did you hear about what happened on campus?" Jimmy just stared at Miles and looked like he started smirking. "Oh, yes I did Miles. Quite a horrible thing to have happened. Don't you agree?" Jimmy said to Miles, still standing in place.

Miles walked over to his side of the room and started throwing things in a small duffel bag. As he packed, he felt Jimmy step towards him. "Where are you going Miles?" Miles finished putting a few clothes and toiletries into the bag and zipped it up. He turned to see Jimmy only a few steps away from him. Still with the same expression from earlier. "I, uh." Miles started. He was going to tell him where he was going, but something told him not to. "I'm going to campus security. They said anyone that wanted to could stay in their building." Miles started walking past Jimmy. When Jimmy grabbed Miles' arm and looked him in the eyes. "Is that really where you're going? Wouldn't you feel safer here?" Miles' jerked his arm from Jimmy's grasp. "Yea, that's where I'm going, but thank you for the offer." Miles strode for the door and left, slamming it behind him. He could hear Jimmy yell after him. "Please be safe Miles."

Miles was a little more than freaked out and ran back to Karah's room. What stuck in Miles' head was not the way Jimmy acted, but that he called him by his name. Jimmy never called Miles by his name. Miles senses were on high alert as he ran across campus. His eyes darting everything. He didn't know what he was looking for really, but he knew he was looking out for something. He quickly reached Karah's room. He knocked on the door as he opened it. "Lucy, I'm home!" He called out, trying to make himself feel less freaked out. He then laughed slightly, as Karah wouldn't probably get that reference. Since all the TV shows he watched back home were old, mid 1900's shows that no one watched anymore.
