Okay.. maybe I panic a little when nobody's posted for 10 hours. I have no life outside the internet.

I don't know how much caffeine I've just injested and I'm pretty sure it was all a mistake.

It's not that bad, and I'm the one who usually has a problem with reading text :)
I think you're good, @SuddenSardines. Maybe a few shades lighter, though?
Will was just on his way out of the cafeteria when a scream ran through the room, and the next thing he knew someone bolted in front of him protectively and smacked a rocket like object away from the two of them. Will was shocked, not really knowing what had just happened. He stuttered a bit, but said nothing, backing away slowly as if cornered by predatory animals. It was clear that these kids had much, much more powerful and dangerous abilities than his. His little gravity-defying tricks were cool and all, but some kid over there just summoned a suit out of nothing. He was way out of his league, and now he knew it.

Will usually hated to show negative emotions like fear, but this time he'd been caught by surprise and his little act was slipping. His tanned skin had gone pale, and he was shivering and clearly hyperventilating a bit. He now stood a few feet away from the boy who'd protected him, trying to regain his composure. As much as he hated to admit it, Will was a bit jumpy and easy to startle.

Some kid asked for help controlling the rocket, and the 10 year old knew he'd be unable to assist. His powers worked great for things like self defense, but when it came to attacks and protecting others, they were virtually useless. Besides, he'd only had his powers for about six months. He was still getting the hang of using them. Maybe they'd be more useful when he was older, like these kids were.
Will Fleeter

A decrepit, ugly grey station wagon pulled up several yards away from the entrance to the massive campus. As soon as its young passenger climbed out, the driver slammed the door at took off, leaving the small boy abandoned and staring up in awe at his new school. The boy's big brown eyes took in every inch of the gargantuan buildings and strange, futuristic architectural design. It was rather intimidating, actually. He'd never been here before, and had never imagined it would be this large. Were superhuman abilities so common they needed all this space to house the students? Impossible.

He hesitantly picked up his old leather suitcase that was so ancient it looked like an antique, and walked into the campus. The Israeli boy had a strange way of walking. He sort of glided a bit, as if his shoes had no friction. He walked quickly, stiffly and with apprehension. He entered the main building, hoping someone could direct him to the dorms. A security guard showed him up to his room, a tiny little space that he was certain was a repurposed closet. It was comfortable enough, with its blue bed and carpet, old couch and small television. He put down his suitcase, and locked the door to the room, wanting to do some exploring before he got to unpacking.

Even though he wasn't hungry (on the contrary, he felt rather sick to his stomach), he made his way down to the cafeteria. That was where most of the other students were, and where he was probably supposed to be. He looked around shyly, seeing that there were no empty tables. He'd have to ask someone if he could sit with them. Og, crud... he thought, losing his nerve and deciding to skip breakfast and leave the cafeteria. It was around then he realized exactly how long the drive up had been, and that he really needed to find a bathroom. All the more reason to leave now.

It wasn't due to me using Dodgerblue, was it? I don't mind changing Alyssa's, I feel bad now. Didn't realise they had the same shade ;_;

Nah, it's okay! I don't mind changing, and the blue suits Alyssa better anyway.
I'll post soon. I've got school.
@Oliver General rule of thumb that I go by is if my character is interacting with multiple others I wait for all the replies to be posted before I post again myself. No matter how impatient I may be. Also I usually wait for 2 posts in general to go up after mine before I post again. And finally if I have multiple characters I post for hem at the same time if I can help it, you already knew that though. All of those generally help so the people who get caught up in life don't get left in the dust.

Thanks! This should be really helpful.
@Lady Amalthea
I know you're not a big fan of editing, but my last post accidentally got sent in a bit early and I was in class, so I couldn't finish it for an hour or two. So I just tacked a few sentences onto the end. The gist is still the same; sorry for the inconvenience.
For everyone waiting on me, I will get a post up as soon as I get home today! Meant to get one out last night but I passed the hell out. Had to be up at 2 AM :/

@Oliver I agree with @LostDestiny. You don't give much to go on when you are waiting on two characters but reply to the one that's been posted. If you're waiting on two separate people, please wait for both of them to post. The whole "waiting for them to respond, seconds passing by with nothing to do but stare at their faces and the floor" is a bit much, and quite unnecessary. >~< if you would be so kind, please....... wait till both parties have answered you. Gives you a better opportunity for a fuller response in the long run.

Sorry! I didn't mean to be pushy or anything.
There are a lot of unspoken faux pas of RPing, and I'm still really new to this.

Ciel blushed slightly, climbing up onto the bed and hesitantly tugging off his grey jacket, pulling his white t shirt up over his arms and tossing both articles of clothing to the side. With his shirt off, it was all the more evident just how much of a hard time he'd had with surviving alone. All his ribs were visible, his spine forming a ridge up his back. He looked as though a gust of wind would snap him in half. He had a large bruise across his left shoulder blade, as if he'd fallen or been struck by a large heavy object, but other than that his torso was unscathed. His hands and forearms, however, were riddled with small red cuts and thoroughly dusted with dirt and dry blood. Some of his cuts were still oozing blood and were bright red with apparent infection. He bit hard into his lip, knowing how bad he probably looked. As sickly and emaciated as he appeared, he only felt worse. A sharp stabbing pain wracked his upper abdomen, and aside from that he felt tired and lightheaded. He kept his face as straight as he could, looking down intently at the floor.

He said nothing, trying not to show his discomfort. He felt kind of awkward being examined like this, and mostly just wanted to get this over with as fast as possible. He kept his arms clutched around his stomach, but that was the only hint he gave as to his feelings of illness. His facial expression was blank and serious, almost brooding. He wasn't sure what he imagined coming back into society would be like, but he sort of hope that he'd be able to get right into helping out around the city instead of having to be tended to like a helpless child. Okay, perhaps he was a bit helpless at the moment, since he had no idea how to properly tend to any of his afflictions, but as much as he realized that in the back of his head, he was still in steadfast, arrogant denial. He'd be fine, he thought, if he could just buck up and schlep his way through.

Are @Midnight Howl @Filthy Mudblood still with us? Haven't heard from them in 3 days.
