What do you do when you're just an empty shell? When you feel so defeated and lost that you don't know what your living for anymore? Where do you go? Who do you turn to? Some might think you would talk to the people in your family, friends or someone you think can be trusted. But for some people that simply isn't an option, they feel like no one can be trusted enough for them to break the walls in their mind.

Spring Hill is a home for these troubled people, they open their doors to individuals who need to be built up. They provide a nurturing environment so that maybe, just maybe, you can find something worth living and continue on with your life. They claim they have the best program in the united states, and there is nothing to disprove that. With the world crumbling down around them people have made the decision to enter Spring Hill, to try and get the help that they need.

What do you do when you begin to realize that the place you thought was helping you is actually killing you? Feeding you pills and medicine claiming that they would "Help" in the healing process? Do you fight? Do you decide to run? For the people trapped at Spring hill this is their reality. They must make the choice of their lives: Live or Die?

Content; This is a mature roleplay, that means the themes listed can all be present; Violence, Abuse, Alcohol, Drugs. If you are uncomfortable with any of these, then this roleplay might not be for you.
Characters; When creating a character keep this in mind: Nobody's perfect. I want flaws, I want tragedy, I want broken character's that need to be picked up off the floor. Give them personality, give them life!
Pictures; We will be using animated/illustrated pictures. Please do not use anything that has been seen 1000 times, nothing that's super emo or goth.. If you need help resizing something or simple editing then feel free to ask, I can easily whip something up for you.
Posting; I know people have lives, I have a pretty hectic one. I only ask that people post when they can, if your having troubles let me know, I promise I won't get upset and neither will the other's.
Ditching; Please, please, PLEASE do not ditch. If you lose interest or simply cannot continue with the roleplay than just let me know, I will not get angry. I understand that inspiration can lack or life get's in the way.
Joining; I will not be looking at CS until I get enough interest in this topic, though please feel free to work on one while I try to get this going. Once enough interest is gained then I will make the IC thread as well as a discord to go along with the roleplay.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

This roleplay might seem deceiving, but it is simple. A bunch of people have been stuck at Spring Hill unknowingly, lies have filled their heads. They think they will be cured of the mental and physical illnesses that plague them. In reality the government is using untested drugs on them in hopes to create modified humans, creations that they can use for warfare. Some will start to die, others will start to develop supernatural abilities. You get to choose whether your character lives or dies. The roleplay will start with everyone getting to know one another, then the discovery of whats really going on and so forth.

If you are unsure about what the CS should look like, here is both of mine for examples.

Manami listen to the girl speak, god she had such an interesting accent. Though she had to admit there were some words that were hard to pick out, though she was sure that Victoria tried her best. "Computer Security?" She echoed, her interest thoroughly peaked. While Manami had never dabbled in such a thing before nor was she interested in it, she always admired people who could do such things with a computer. "I can promise you that you wouldn't, I always like to hear about new things. Even if it might involve computer security." Manami said with a small laugh, taking the sushi that was calling to her and sitting down at an empty table.

"Snow white? I could only imagine how beautiful it looked. I honestly don't think many people could pull off hair so white...but...." She trailed off as she looked at the facial features of the woman, thinking for a moment before speaking. "I bet you looked like someone out of a fairy tale!" She exclaimed in an excited tone, she often didn't even like white hair because of how unnatural it looked, but every once in awhile she did come across someone who could actually pull off the look. Based on Victoria's facial features she could only imagine how wonderful the woman looked with it. It almost made her think of the fantasy characters in some of her comics - even her accent was unique.

When Victoria agreed to have lunch with her Manami smiled brightly, clapping her hands together. "Oh yay! I don't mind him at all, in fact he just might keep away any unwanted visitors. It would be great to have a lunch without have people asking for pictures." She admitted, smiling when the man spoke the same idea allowed. It would definitely be nice to have a friendly chat and each her lunch, too often had she been bothered by nos fans who only wanted a picture to show of to their friends. "It would be so much easier if I just came here without a full face of make-up..." She thought, but she had already had too many close calls of people recognizing her without makeup.

Settling into the chair Manami began to pick at and eat the sushi that had been prepared for her, letting out a satisfactory sigh as she bit into the buttery salmon. It practically melted in her mouth with how fresh it was. The rice was cooked perfectly as well, it stuck together well but wasn't sticky either. As Manami happily ate her food she listened to her new friend. "My skin care routine? It's really basic, I just wash my face every morning and night with something that fits my skin, then I use a toner to just get any residual stuff off, then use a moisturizer." She explained, she honestly didn't do anything too extreme. It was basic and what everyone should do to keep nice and healthy skin.

Manami was so into her food that she didn't notice when something seemed to bother Victoria and continued on their conversation. "Oh I envy you, I was born in Japan but moved here when I was a baby so I remember nothing. I want to travel, I just don't have the courage to do so by myself. I think it would be a little boring really." the girl said, looking up. That's when she noticed something was wrong, though Manami knew everyone had their fare share of issues. The world was not all cupcake and rainbows, no it was harsh and could beat a person down. While she would have liked to asked what was wrong this was a woman who she had just met - it wasn't her place to pry.

Though one thing she could do was try to maybe make Victoria's day a little brighter, to maybe help ease whatever was worrying her. Even though they had just met Manami liked this woman, she seemed mysterious and interesting. "I'm not sure if you are busy, but would you like to come shopping with me? It had been a long time since I have met such a nice and honesty person. Oh I can already picture the cutest outfits for you!"

Elliot could feel his heart skip a beat as his friend rested her head on his shoulder, her voice sounded so soft and tired. He couldn't imagine just how hard this was for her and as much as he wanted to take all the pain away and magically have Lily back he knew that wouldn't happen. No, he would have to be strong and help Elizabeth through this...even if it meant putting his own grief and hurt aside. No matter how much his heart hurt or how much he might have wanted to run away, he would have to stay and make sure his best friend was okay.

It wasn't long though before the small moment of peace was shattered, the Sheriff had walked up to the podium and had begun to speak. Beside him Liz straightened in her seat, her grip on his hand growing ever tighter. He could feel the tension in the room grow as they all waited for something concrete, he could imagine many of them hoping for some sign that Lily Turner was still alive. Though as the sheriff spoke it was clear that they were no closer to finding the lost girl, just the thought of Lily possibly suffering somewhere made his heart twist.

Lily's mother's voice echoed through the room as she pleaded for someone to find her daughter, to bring her back to them. Elliot clenched his teeth in anger, why was this happening to them? Lily was such a wonderful and happy person, who would want to ruin such a beautiful life? The normally calm and shy boy felt like he wanted to punch something, to get all these jumbled up feelings out of his system. It didn't help when the mayor announced that they would keep the fair going.

"Are they serious?" He breathed, Liz would have been the only one to hear him. His eyes narrowed, he had never felt so angry before. This was no time for a fair, who would want to ride on stuff and eat cotton candy at a time like this? No, they should be working harder instead to find Lily! His free hand clenched as he tried to get himself under control, he took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, he had to remember that he had to be there for Liz. Just like this was no time for a stupid fair this almost wasn't the time for him to act out.

Soon the media swarmed the podium and began to ask dozens of questions, though Elliot zoned out. This was all too real, too heartbreaking. "How can I stay strong for my friend when I feel so many emotions? How can I help her when I feel like I can't even help myself?" He thought, he had never felt so angry and sad before. Though it wasn't long before the boy was pulled from his troubled thoughts, apparently the mayors house was on fire. A look on confusion passed over his face - there was no way that could be a coincidence could it? Lily goes missing, then on the day when practically the whole town in gathered in one area her home goes up in flames.

"Stop thinking like that, it'll only get you in trouble." His mind told him and soon the place started clearing. Elliot looked at Liz as she spoke to him, his eyes growing soft as he stared at her. "Not really...you'd think they would have more to tell us." He said, he wouldn't have been surprised if they did know a lot more and were just keeping it to themselves. He shivered, maybe they were just trying to spare them from knowing if something gruesome had happened to Lily. He looked down when her hand left his, he could see her own shaking. "It's probably just a coincidence, with so much going on they probably left something on or lit." He tried to reassure her but he didn't even believe his own words.

"Pizza sounds pretty good right now" He said with a comforting smile, before he could say anything else a familiar face came up to them. It was his old teacher, Olivander. He could feel his face turn a soft shade of red when the old man spoke about him and then winked. He didn't say anything but gave a small wave when the older man walked away, his eyes looking to Liz once more. "Come on, there can't be many places open today. I don't want to wait forever, I think my stomach might end up shrinking." He said with a small laugh, hoping that somehow he could make this heavy feeling in his chest lighten up, and maybe in the process make Liz feel even a little better.

Tao stared at the brightly lit computer screen as he sat in the pub, absently going through and rearranging some things. He had begun to get annoyed at how he had his documents and programs set up and decided to take the time to actually put them in an order that made sense and made them easier to find. If he got an important job he didn't want to spend a whole bunch of time trying to find the right things, that could not only cost his customer time but could also give authorities a higher chance in noticing him. He took a lot of precautions and honestly didn't want to get caught just yet, he hadn't done anything worthwhile and exciting enough yet.

Suddenly a cellphone went off in Tao's bag. The boy opened it to reveal a whole pile of cheap phones, there had to be at least 10 in the bag. Swiping the one that was ringing he put the device to his ear. Each phone was one of those "one-time use" phones you could easily buy at any store, it was easy enough to get someone to buy them for him - they were harder to trace than contracted cell phones. "How'd you get this number?" In his head Tao began to count, there were only a handful of people who know these numbers and if it wasn't one of them then he would hang up within fifteen seconds. Each person who had one of the numbers also knew the "code", it was a phrase Tao himself had given them in order for him to know they weren't cops.

"Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings."

The phrase made Tao grin, it was one of his favorite quotes by Salvador Dali. The male felt himself relax slightly after knowing it wasn't some nosy cop trying to bait him. "What do you need?" He asked, he wanted to make the call quick so there was no time for idle chatter. "I need you to find some info on someone for me - Edward Seething. He owns Seething Pharmaceuticals." While Tao had never heard of the place he had no doubt that there could be something dirty found, after all everyone had skeletons in their closets. Tao shifted in the leather booth, "It'll be done, transfer the money". Without waiting for an answer Tao ended the call and held the cellular device underneath the table, giving it a quick snap til it broke in half. Well there's one phone down.

Tossing the broken remnants of the phone into his bag he zipped it up and went back to his laptop, though instead of continuing his organizing fiesta Tao went to work on whoever Edward Seething was. He had no doubt that the person who had called him was either someone who had been wronged by Mr. Seething or one of his competitors. People like that always seemed to want to bring people down - not that he cared. As long as he got his money then he would do the work, after all hacking into a pharmaceuticals company systems would be child's play.

Tao's dark emerald eyes drifted upwards when he heard a woman speak, a blonde who seemed to stare at him. He didn't like it, though he couldn't lie to himself either - that drink she explained sounded heavenly. Tao had a soft spot for anything sweet and that drink almost made his mouth water. He ignored the urge to get the same thing and instead went back to what he was doing. "Girl's always seem to need their coffee." He said, he could never understand those of the opposite sex, they just seemed so...weird. His mother once told him that he would find someone one day who he just resonated with, that had yet to happen.

A smile was plastered to Manami's face as she spoke to the young sushi chef, "Is that so strange? I dunno honestly, I think some delicious salmon just sounds wonderful." She said, watching with curious eyes as he slipped on a pair of gloves and began to prepare her order. Manami always enjoyed watching the chefs make the food, the way they did it so expertly made her wonder just how long they had to practice to get the food to taste just right. Even Layne as young as he was seemed to have no problem doing it - then again he must have been watching and helping people since he could walk since his family owned the store.

As she stood waiting Manami could feel the eyes of curious customers staring into her back, some of them might have known who she was and others just staring cause she was "Cute" or "Pretty." Just knowing people stared was enough to make her feel uncomfortable, she hated being the object of anyone's attention. Why the hell do I keep doing all this nonsense then? A question that she asked herself a lot, and always the same answer; because she didn't know how to take control of her own and do what she actually wanted to do. In short, she was a coward.

Manami shifted from her ominous thoughts when Layne spoke, she couldn't help but laugh as the younger male told her about his brothers crush. "Maybe I should give him a shout out, I can just imagine his reaction at that." She said with a giggle, perhaps she actually would. Despite being an "Instagram star" she wasn't mean or selfish, she liked to give back to the people who did support her. Even if they were supporting a lie. Shaking her head Manami grabbed her food and began to make her way to one of the table to enjoy her Sushi and tea, though she was stopped by a woman with a very interesting accent.

The woman introduced herself and she seemed nice enough, just someone wanting to know who she was. "My name is Manami, I model from time to time so you might have seen me in something." She said with a smile, taking a moment to study the woman. The thing that stood out the most to her was the beautiful raven hair she had, Manami didn't think she had seen such nice dark hard before, even her own wasn't such a rich color. "I love your hair" She couldn't help herself from blurting out the compliment and instantly her face turn a light shade of red. "Oh I'm sorry if that was strange....I sometimes can't stop myself from blurting things" Manami apologized sheepishly.

Suddenly Manami realized that the food she had ordered was waiting on the plate she held, her stomach rumbling from the delicious aroma that swirled in the restaurant. Gesturing to a table Manami looked to Victoria and then her companion with an honest smile. "Would you like to join me for lunch, I would enjoy the company and a chance to chat with someone." She might have been an online idol but in reality Manami was a lonely person, she had maybe one friend who knew what she was actually like and people never really took the time to just talk with her like a normal person.

"Do you know if mom left any money for me?" A girl with platinum blonde hair was rummaging around a lavish kitchen, looking under stacks of mail and opening various drawers. Sitting in the same room at the table was a boy who looked quite young, his dark hair hung just above his eyes. He was staring at a very expensive looking laptop, occasionally clicking on something. "Tao can you stop looking at that dumb screen and answer me? Honestly, your so annoying." The boy, Tao, rolled his eyes as she looked over at the girl a look of boredom plastered all over his face. "Yebin they didn't say anything to me so if they left you money then you find it, not my problem. Besides if they left money why would they leave it here, you don't live at home anymore. If anything they would have sent it to your account like they always do. Oh wait...did they not do that this time? Shit....looks like your broke cause mommy and daddy aren't supplying you anymore." Tao had just enough time to duck as a hardcover book went soaring over his head, the object hitting the wall with a loud thump and dropping to the ground. A fresh hole now sat where the book had landed.

"Seriously, can you be anymore childish?" He asked, whipping his head around to glare at his stupid sister. She had a look of anger on her face as she huffed and puffed, honestly she wasn't intimidating at all. "Freak!" She cried out before stomping out of the room, probably to try and find whatever money stash she thought their parents had. The boy sighed as she shut his laptop carefully and shoved it into the bag that hung on his chair, taking it off and slinging it over his shoulder. It was better to leave now before his maniac of a sister tried to throw more things at him, besides he was feeling hungry and he did not have the motivation to cook.

Sometime later Tao walked into his favorite place to be, The Old Starboard. While it wasn't exactly close to home he did enjoy the atmosphere that it provided...plus he liked the food. While it could get a bit rowdy with idiots who drank too much he found that stay near the back kept him out of the way and in somewhat quiet spot, thankfully afternoon meant that people weren't getting super hammered yet. Tao choose a booth that was near the back and away from the bar. He took his laptop out of the bag he carefully carried and set it on the table.

A waitress who was familiar with him came up to the table with a smile, "Some thing today Tao, or are you feeling frisky?" She asked, pad in hand as she waited for the boy to answer. "Same thing" was all the boy said as she lifted the lid on his laptop and booted it up. The waitress stood there for a moment as if waiting for something but once she realized nothing else would be said she walked away. Tao settled into the leather booth and began to type away on his computer. If one were to look at the screen they would simply see a jumbled mess of stuff. Various programs, browsers with multiple tabs and plenty of other things, it would take a genius to understand everything he was messing with.

"Manami, your father and I think you should really come home. You barely just turned 20, your much too young to be living on your own! What if some crazy fan finds out where you live and stalks you. Even worse, what if they break into your home and kill you!"

A girl with dark hair stood by a large ceiling-to-floor window, the latest phone held up to her ear as the ramblings of a "concerned" mother assaulted her hearing. An exasperated sigh slipped past the girls lips as she leaned up against the window pane, "Mama I'm an adult now and I need some space. You know I'm careful with not revealing where I live, you really need to stop worrying." The girl said, her violet eyes staring out the window, watching as cars passed by her apartment building. "But Mimi, some people are smarter than you think! Just last week I watched story on the news of a girl who was killed after getting a rude from an Uber, what if that happens to you! Of your father and I wouldn't be able to handle it" While Manami knew her mother meant well and was probably concerned about her daughter, she also knew that she was also worrying about their money - or rather Manami's money.

For a long time now Manami's blooming career in modelling had been keeping her parents afloat, it allowed them to live upper-class lives. On one hand she could understand why this was so important to them, back when they lived in Japan the life they lived was sad. The house had been falling apart and they could barely worked enough to keep the bills paid, such was the life of not getting ahead in Japan. So suddenly being able to not only pay those bills and have extra to buy luxury items was a godsend to them. However because of the money they both had grown greedy, calling Manami at least twice a week to get some amount of money from her...and she always obliged. They were her parents, they were the ones who had raised her, fed her, gave her a life that wasn't filled with poverty. But sometimes she wondered if this life was actually worth it.

"Mama I understand your concern, I really do...but I really will be fine. If I feel like I'm in danger I'll call the police. Though I can't talk anymore, I have somewhere to be. Bye bye, mama!" Before the woman could say anything more Manami ended the call, another sigh escaping her. She stood at the large window for a few more moments before meandering through her quiet home to her bedroom. It was littered with clothes that were scattered on the floor, posters of movies and video games hung on the walls, figurines were neatly placed on shelves. Most people would think that the girl was some kind of geek with all the stuff she collected, how surprised they would be to learn that she was a model who influenced hundreds of people, who acted nothing like she was in real life.

"What would happen if I just stopped?" She mumbled as she began to rummage through the clothes, throwing them here and there as she figured out what she wanted to wear. Another thought was where would she go today, perhaps the Coffee Pot? No she had been there yesterday, but god the thought of getting a Coco Cloud Macchiato sounded amazing and practically made her mouth water. Lord knows she needed one after the conversation with her mother.

Knowing she would end up taking picture Manami dressed in a stylish outfit, one that might have even been a bit too nice. She did her hair, bunching it up into a bun atop her head and allowing small tendrils of hair to frame her face. Then she carefully did her make-up, applying it in a way that almost looked natural and not caked on. An hour later the girl was staring at a completely different person, her violet eyes shining with the contacts she had put in. "I don't think I can ever get used to this face..." It was a thought that she often had.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

Manami walked into the quaint coffee shop, gazing around at all the people ready to receive their liquid caffeine. Just like everyone else Manami waited in line, absently gazing at the many social media accounts on her phone as the line slowly moved. Once she got up to the register she looked at the waitress with a large smile, there was no need for her to look at the menu since she already knew what she wanted. "One Coco Cloud Macchiato please, extra whip cream on top." At the next register over a boy was flirting with a very pretty girl, he wasn't doing a very good job in her opinion. Deciding to mind her own business Manami took her drink once it was ready and quickly left the coffee shop, she had another place to be.

Thankfully Shinagi Sushi wasn't far from the coffee shop and a quick cab ride had her standing in front of her favorite place to eat, she was a regular here and ate there at least once a week. She had probably tried almost everything on their menu, her favorite being any of the fried rolls and a healthy dose of Tobiko eggs as a topping, she could imagine their salty taste and satisfying crunch already.

With a shiver of excitement the girl walked into the shop, taking in the different scents. God she loved this place so much, it made her feel somewhat sane in the whirlwind that was her life. Without hesitation Manami walked up to the counter, her eyes glittering as she stared at all the yummy options. She was feeling salmon today, it always seemed so good and buttery from this place. From over the counter Manami could see one of the adorable workers, Layne. "Good afternoon, Layne." She greeted the boy with a large smile. "Got any of that delicious salmon for a salmon roll?" She asked curiously.
