My name is Paradoxial. I mainly focus on creating original roleplays, though I do love participating in others!

First post is up! I kept this one really short and vague, the ride to the town is a sort of “get to know these weird people who probably have completely opposite religious views than you and are heretics” phase. Expectations for this roleplay are usually 1 post a week at least 2 paragraphs, however in combat you probably wont post as much, and it’ll be shortened to 2-3 days. I’m not a dick, and I understand that outside stuff is vastly more important than this roleplay, so if you need to leave or take a break just ask!
All of you saw the tattered banner. Strained to make out the faded words on the once golden parchment,rotted with years of age. Turning around you were met with the sight of an old Carriage, a cloaked man sitting in the front of it. The horse that was carrying the husk of a ride was bone thin, and looked to be seconds away from deaths door at any moment. The man in the front introduced himself as Roake, and beckoned you into the cart. You know not what compelled you to step into the cramped space, nor what force closed the door behind you. But here you are, as the carriage sets an unknown path you face the unknown strangers sitting in the cart with you, each holding the same banner you read in their hands.
In other news, I should have the first post up today! Thank you to my veterans and also for the newcomers, I’ll do my best to fabricate a story that shatters your characters like a bull in a china shop!
@The Fated Fallen I like the character as much as I did before, and I actually really don’t mind the spells because Templar’s are devoted to a god which is the main and only source of magic, unless you’re talking about heresy... but I’m spoiling things ;)

A couple of notes:

- this is first tier magic, meaning that it is weak and can be broken by most anything. It is usually taught to peasants as “miracles” , or given by your patron god as an entry level form of association to them. Warrior classes do not usually learn higher than 4th tier magic.

- 1 of the spells is an aura spell. These spells are easy to cast,usually just a continuous chant or single word, however the longer you hold them the more concentration and will it takes to keep it up. Also a reminder that your courage spell merely inspires confidence and invigorates allies, actually influencing emotions would be a form of mind control which is 7th tier magic.

- the targeting spell: I don’t have many things to say about this one. It’s a pretty good basic spell that will come in handy with many enemies in the game. However keep in mind that it can only be cast at one thing at a time, and the monster in question may choose to answer your direct aggression with, well, more direct aggression at only you.

-the torch spell: I have to clarify that you cannot start fires with magic by yourself for now, the torch must already be lit. Also a reminder that it is first tier magic, so any form of dark interference with you or the torch will cause the enchantment to fade, although the fire itself will still stay lit unless extinguished in other ways.

@GodOfWar she will make an excellent addition! However you should know that spells that work in tandem are rare to find, so you shouldn’t plan on having combinations like that as a priest or mage in the early game. Nevertheless, I love the idea so I’ll allow it as your starting spells. Move her over

@GodOfWar I’m just going to give you the okay for now, draw up a character and we’ll see what we’re working with.

I think I’m going to put the new max at 6, any larger and I’ll have To change fundamental aspects of the roleplay.

If you have any lore questions please feel free to ask, though I am not particularly limiting on most aspects of the world.
@GodOfWar it really depends on the group consensus. Originally we started with a party of 4 which worked fine, but I wouldn’t be averse to having another. I’ll still leave it up to the group though.
