I’m here for games. And life isn’t a game, but we all play pretend. It’s in my head, and yours, and all that for just 19.99 plus 14.83 shipping and handling.
Most people play pretend by trying to impress. Jobs, cars, trips. Straight-A kids. The westernized American version of “making it.”
That’s the real pretend on a level I just cannot understand.
Me? I play pretend too. Mine is staying in touch with the little guy down there in my soul—the kid who ran around the woods with books and journals while his brother and sister laughed at him for living in his head.
Later that kid grew up. Made a few bad decisions. Got pushed into things he didn’t want. Take this! Feel better! Padded walls, closing in.
