LOL THANK YOU! Unfortunately no, I'm not nearly as cool.

My pfp is probably the most 1:1 I've gotten with the style since I referenced a screenshot of Narancia. I want to do more screenshot redraws in the future and find a way to slap Specchio into it, because of course I would.

What are some of the most confusing/cringiest OC's you have ever encountered?

My cringiest OC, from many years ago, was basically taking an existing delusional edgelord character but making the cringe powers and minions real and putting him in an edgelord anime RP, partially as a joke and partially as an experiment to see if he'd get banned or nerfed. Turned out he got the green light, and much cringe ensued including such battle pets as a fox that runs in light speed, an indestructible metal mammoth, and even a dragon, naturally black, and of course standing around acting important and going off on "cruel fate," "darkness of my soul", and the "burning dark curse contained in my arm", among other lines.

The thing is, he kind of fit in with the other edgelords of the RP anyway, and he had enough sense to lead the others when the plot kicked off, one player even describing him as being God modded in a good way. And while very cringe, he did do some cool fighting against a puppet master ex-girlfriend of his from the rival clan (of course), and culminate in choosing the Romeo and Juliet ending when she died. Cringiest writing I ever put to posts, but man was it kind of wild too.

Honestly, this seems like it would be really fun from a writing perspective where everyone's in on it. Like a D&D campaign with the tropiest tropes at play - the horny bard, murderhobo barbarian, broody edgelord thief, etc.

Tossing another bump in here! I hope me encouraging people to watch the show doesn't put anyone off - by any means, it's not a requirement! I would just hate to dissuade someone from checking out the series first (and getting spoiled via RP).

And I am always, always happy to explain things! If you have questions, that gives me a starting point on how to help you rather than just pulling random factoids out me bum.

I'd be interested, 'cept, I don't know much about JJBA. At all. I watched the first episode, that's it.

If you enjoyed the first episode, I'd recommend giving the series a watch! I'm, of course, biased in thinking it's pretty great. However, I will say that things change a LOT between Season 1 and Season 2 - and even the seasons beyond that usually introduce concepts that are fairly unique. My OC is particular to Season 4, or Part 5.

If anything, the JoJo Wiki is a great resource! And thankfully it isn't hosted by those annoying Fandom wiki sites... so it's a lot easier to browse.

I suppose you wouldn't have to know EVERYTHING, depending on what you'd like to RP, but learning about stands or the characters in Part 5 would be a good start, I think.
