Current Taking a hiatus - not sure when I'll be back.

It's incredible how if you give someone just the tiniest bit of power over others they'll turn into the most self-righteous, selfish, impatient fuckers you will ever meet.

How are some writers on this site still incapable of knowing how a comma works?! It's like the second easy piece of punctuation you learn about as a kid!!!

It'll always be confusing to me when some people regard two or three sentences in an IC post as putting in effort with the writing, yet they consider themselves at a casual/advanced level.

Interested! I have a good idea for a cameraman who's extremely sceptical of the paranormal.
What exactly is your plot idea? I can't imagine many people would be interested in a complete re-hash of the show, just with different characters.
James Tanner

Location: Health Clinic
Interacting with: Lydia @BlueSky44

James' brow furrowed ever so slightly in confusion as the woman talked. He could have sworn he had bribed the nurse who had given him a shot, not the receptionist? Writing it off to him just being delirious from pain and then morphine, James listened on to what the woman continued to say. Again, his brow furrowed, but in confusion of something else. An attack, with no wounds? That didn't make sense.

Thanking the receptionist for her time, James remembered the surname "Johnson" for future reference. Not helpful, considering how widely used that name was. Still, Red Lake was a small enough town, and if she was local, maybe be could find her and ask some questions. Which questions, he didn't quite know yet, but he was sure he'd come up with something. As soon as Lydia exited the building and met him, his curiosity spiked once again. Handing her the kitten back with a smile, James glanced at her leg, glad to see she had got it sorted so soon. In most hospitals, you had to wait a good couple of hours to get something that minor seen to. Again, Red Lake was tiny, so chances are their clinic was near empty on most days. He just hoped they'd given her some shots; rabies, or at the very least tetanus. Lord only knew what kind of disease that cat was carrying.

"I hope you know where that address is. I'm itching to investigate!" James said with a playful grin as he untied Allie, his dog jumping around him energetically as his excitement was contagious.
Charlie Farrier

Location: The X-Van

"So no plan. Wonderful." Charlie muttered to himself in response to what Marygold had said. Now, the rest of the van couldn't even agree on how to split the teams up. Thinking back to common horror movie tropes, splitting up was always the worst thing possible to do. Still, this wasn't a horror movie. If it was any movie, it would be an action blockbuster... so all they needed was a John McClane or James Bond to save the day single-handedly. As if that would ever happen. At the very least, Charlie alone could provide all of the explosions necessary for a movie worthy of Michael Bay.

"My powers deal with fire. Setting them, controlling them... kind of." Charlie interrupted the team debate to announce what he could do, just in case not everyone had heard about him. He hadn't been at the Institute long, after all. "I don't know whether it would be a good idea or not putting me near chemicals, but I can act like an incinerator if you need one."

Nina van Essenhout

Location: The X-Van

Nina crooked a smile in response to Carolina, though she thought it a shame that she could talk so nonchalantly about being shot at - it was no way for someone to live, simply because of they way they were born. As the discussion picked back up in the van, Nina's eyes shot to each person as they spoke. Everyone made good points (Though some did so childishly.) It was difficult to not be at least slightly amused by Allison's bubbly bursts of conversation, though the thought of Tony Stark showing up on this mission wasn't a particularly good one. If Magneto was present, Iron Man wouldn't be of any use anyway... but Nina simply wanted to avoid the man at all costs. The awkwardness of such an interaction would be terrible. Especially on a battle-ground.

"Agreed. Guinevere and I should be on separate teams." She said, wondering why Cassandra had not mentioned Guinevere earlier when warning her about Pietro. Surely she knew which one would cause more problems to Nina? "I imagine Pietro by himself will be distracting enough without hearing snide comments in my ear all the time. I can take Ayita and Damon as well. It's a fairly balanced team, and those left over have a good balance too."
@Nallore

I'm sorry, but that just seems far too unlikely. A nurse and receptionist are two completely different and busy jobs. I can't see how a person would be able to commit to those both unless they were extremely neglectful in their duties. Also, you could have told me of this decision several days ago when I first pointed out your mistake.
@Nallore

Again, I can't post anything until you've fixed your post.
@Nymeria

Just letting you know that I haven't found any inspiration to make a character, so I'll be dropping out. Best of luck with your roleplay guys!
@Nallore
James had bribed a nurse to look after Allie, not the receptionist.
Letting you guys know that I'm potentially interested, and I'm going to start working on a character sheet! If I can't manage to write something I'll let you know, but this idea looks cool for sure.
James Tanner

Location: Health Clinic
Interacting with: Receptionist

James smiled at the receptionist as she came over and petted the cat, though he'd kind of wished she hadn't. Or, at the very least, had decided on taking her smoke afterwards. He hated the smell of tobacco, and the fresh cigarette scent still lingered on the woman. Still, there was no reason to be rude to her.

"Oh, he's not mine. I think the poor fella was being chased by a bigger cat when a girl saved him. She got herself scratched for her heroics though, hence the visit here." He replied, jerking his head towards the entrance. "I was in here myself about a fortnight ago. Wolf mauling, if that rings any bells." He paused at this, pondering something. Usually some of the best of people to pick up rumours were those working on desks; office work could be extremely tiresome, and when sat right in front of a waiting room of patients with interesting looking injuries, it would be the perfect place to pick up some gossip.

"When I was here last and spoke to a Doctor, he'd said that there'd been a couple of other maulings. Any stick out to you? I hear your Mayor got pretty torn up, but the news round town says it wasn't a wolf?" He asked, feigning slight ignorance. He knew fine well the Mayor hadn't been taken down by an animal, but it would be interesting to see if the woman had seen or heard anything out of the ordinary here.
