Angela listened to Julia as she followed her into the wasteland she cleansed her fist gripping the handle of her blade

"these so call law enforcers are no better then the criminals they claim to chase in fact they are far worse how could they go so far as to reduce an area to a wasteland just to punish a few criminals"

Angela looked around and could feel the earth shake she was already on guard ready for the enforcers to make another attempt on their lives so when Julia shouted to warn them she had already jumped back out of the way of the worm she saw everyone one attack and watched to see how the worm would react she looked to Vixen as she did Vixen gave a small nod she knew exactly what Angela was thinking Vixen looked to the warm as it reemerged and pointed her tails at the warm and charged up 9 plasma blasts and fired if they hit they would burn though the warms armour and explode meanwhile Angela called out 2 names Celestia and Aqua the two spirits appeared in front of her and she placed Celestia in her sword and Aura in the scabbard as the 2 began to glow large ice shards formed floating in the air next to her the shards began to light up and she used them to reflect and focus the light inside them over and over again making the light far more powerful once the warm pop it's head up she fired 6 light blasts at it

Listened to Julia and took the equipment she gave her and attached the sword to he waist and hung the strap of the rifle over her shoulder as soon as the warm attack she jumped back just barely evading the attack she pulled out her new rifle fully loaded with the dust glade ammo and aimed for the warm she started spraying bullets at it infused with her aura to improve the effectiveness of the bullets

Ture but with two more people leaving there are 2 options 1st take control of the free characters before they are killed off and if you do you may be allowed to edit the CS a bit or less likely but possibly Julia could do a nother summoning to replace the lost members.

Was flying though the forest when she came up to the mountain entrance she flew though it and continued on to the academy she was heading for the armory to resupply when she flew over the training area and saw another demigod training she could tell she was a skilled figure seeing her train put sky in the mood to spar she decided to put off visting the armory for now and landed in front of Victoria

Impressive skills but those training dummies Can't fight back, so why not spar with me instead and so we can do some real training"

Rose continued walking with Araluen and listened to the rest of her questions
"if you mean general battle i am better then most with the power to control earth and water i can handle most battles easily however if you mean wapons training hand to hand combat and archery i am not grat at it in all honestly i can fire off ice shards far faster then arrows with more accruacy and use the earth to defened myself so i have never really needed it"

Just as she stopped talking another demititan showed up and introduced himself Rose paused before responding to allow Araluen the chance to answer his question

"hi James i am Rose daughter of Demeter and another hunter of Artemis nice to meet you"

Mordred wached as time reversed and saw Michael use his magic to change the effect of his spells although he still remembered everything being the demigod of magic had meny perks and the ability to see though most spells was one of them he walked over to Michael who was clearly tired from to meny spells
"so you Couldn't keep up with my speed so you hat go use time magic"
Mordred let out a small chuckle at Michael expense

Ok so this is the only way I can think to make it work Chronos goes back in time after getting released to the golden age taking over his past selfs body but can't kill Zeus because he won't have any reason to to back if he dose so instead sends his energy forwards in time to create a child to help free him in the future although as you pointed out this make time travel next to useless for the demigod of time so instead you give the character fairy tale style time magic able to speed up the reverse the effects of time on objects because being able to slow down, speed up or freeze time would be op.

Meddling in your own timeline has some repercussions but meeting yourself isn't a problem. They make an episode every ten years about multiple incarnations of the Doctor going on adventure together. See "The Two Doctors" "The Five Doctors" "The Name of the Doctor" "Time Crash" and "The Day of the Doctor". Doctor who plays very fast and loose with time travel, in fact it was basically established that as the last of the Time Lords the Doctor is in charge of the rules of time travel so basically any rules he does set forth are more like "I don't want you to do this" not "This isn't physically possible".

But let's say meeting yourself physically does result in something bad, doesn't mean existing in same time period cannot have the same effect because as a titan his timeline goes from more or less the beginning of creation to the end so if he couldn't exist in the same time period as himself he couldn't time travel. Kronos could still go back to the Golden Age and through indirect means, most likely the intervention of another titan of that time period, make sure Zeus died.

The point being there isn't a scenario that allows Chronos to be freed and travel back in time to sire a child that doesn't also allow him to travel back further to prevent his own imprisonment without rendering his time powers almost completely nonfunctional.

Good point with dr who Can't believe i made that mistake considering i have wached it for years so the only way it could work is if we allow time travel not allow you to directly manipulate your own time line but allow indirect mentheds so the only real option in with the kid helping to save him that was he is not directly manipulating his time line instead he is getting someone else to do it for him and once he meets his kid go back and do it again but i am off to bed i am way to tired and keep making stupid mistaks ill reread the discussion tomorrow become in case you where right about me miss reading your comments.

Actually the one most used in fantasy is the Back to the Future model because it affords the author the most freedom as far as story and progression go. Almost no one uses the Big Bang Theory version (which was more of a sketch than an actually functioning model) because it is too restrictive to the story to be fun or have any serious stakes.

And that's kind of my point, Kronos wouldn't care what happened to history as long as Zeus was dead and basically every depiction of time travel would allow him to do that except for a precious few models which restrict the functions of time travel so much that it basically doesn't work at all.

And on that subject if The One created a child of Kronos on the theory that the child freed Kronos then Kronos went back in time to sire the child it affords The One very little creative control over the child because their are established events in which the character has to react a certain way and do certain things. Simply put it saps the fun out of playing the character which is about 95% of the point.

Sorry for miss quoting you on that last one but in back to the future they still sent messages to themselves in the present from the past which is where the child comes in and in back the future dr who and most time travel shows meeting yourself is very bad and had a lot of repercussions meeting your child or parents however is fine because he would still be restricted in helping himself stop Zeus from defending him although you are completely right about how it would restrict the possibilities of what you could do with the character

I feel like you didn't read that closely because it was an argument that goes completely against everything you've said. But the upshot of your perspective is this. Being the God of Time is completely and totally worthless because you are not capable of manipulating time unless it is to ensure that something that has already happened happens making your powers essentially null and void.

And this argument were are currently having is the reason the Percy Jackson version of Kronos isn't capable of time travel.

Also the reason I don't like time powers in RP. Time Travel has to follow very precise and defined rules which is a virtual impossibility in a collaboration.

No I read it I was just commenting on the part where you mentioned if you achieved your goals in time travel you would have no reason to time travel and in that case if you have a kid in the past and meet that kid in the future then you would go back and have the kid however even in your example of time travel not effecting you or your memory and you end up in an alternate time line with another you I don't think Cronos would have a problem with that as long as Zeus was dead however there are multiple theories on time travel and like you said the one most used in fantasy is the Big Bang version so using a predestination paradox is not a problem since this is fantasy rp.

That's Big Bang Theory logic. In quantum mechanics, it's either fifth or sixth dimensional theory, altering the flow of time causes it to diverge rather than fold back upon itself.

The upshot of that if you go back in time the timeline that you originate from is maintained and becomes for all intents and purposes inaccessible to you. Any changes you make in the present will have no effect on your physical being, existence or memories. So if you go back in time and kill your father nothing will happen to you however the you of that timeline will never be born. This is the version of time travel that is best supported by actual science however it is rarely used in science fiction because if it was you can never return to your own time or place. If you tried you would be traveling to the future of the new timeline that your presence has created. It might be identical to the one you left depending on if you changed history but you would find that timeline's version of you living your life which means that from a story perspective unless one of yourself dies there is no way to write a happy ending and even if one of yourself dies it still kind of melancholy.

The logic that by time traveling you would accomplish an action and because that action was accomplished you have no motivation to go back in time in order to accomplish it is both cyclical reasoning and if it were true prevents time travel from being physically possible because whatever action you did after time traveling would be instantly undone by your future lack of motivation to do it.

Your almost right but not quite you can't directly manipulate your own past like you said you would lose the motivation once you did so nothing would change but if you created someone or something like in this case a child in the past with the intention of altering it for you once you meet that child you then have motivation to go back and recreate that child so the changes stick.

For example if he gets free and goes back in time to farther a child to help in his battle with Zeus later when he is freed he will meet his son and know he would have hat to go back in time to create him so he dose it would be like a loop in a rollercoaster where the point where both tracks meet in is the point he meets his child then the tracks just continue on.
