Pokémon: Hoenn - Make a Wish

Here's something more positive and vaguely related to the RP!

Make Yourself a Gym Leader!

If you, personally (not your character), were a Gym Leader, what type would you be? What type of Pokemon would you have? What would your badge be and what would it look like? Would you gauge trainers of a particular trait or would they just have to beat you? Where would you be located (anime/manga/game or real life)?
The setting in which you place is completely up to you. The rules and regulations are completely up to you. Whether Pokemon know 4 or 234357893274 moves is up to you, etc.

For an example, I'll share mine. It's based off this RP's setting (so you can also get an idea of how the GLs function).

-Stipulations-
I would look for adaptability and creativity.
Adaptability: Using offensive maneuvers defensively to prevent damage. Using defensive maneuvers offensively to counter/damage me.
Creativity: Using maneuvers to accomplish something other than it's intended purpose.
From 0-4 Badges, I wouldn't have any limitations or stipulations. Just a normal "defeat my Pokemon with all of your Pokemon."
From 5 Badges and on, a challenger would only be able to use as many Pokemon as I would use.
From 10 Badges and on, a challenger would only be able to use as many Pokemon as I would use. The challenger would be able to choose the Pokemon, specifically, but the order in which they are used will be randomly determined.
From 16 Badges and on, a challenger would only be able to use as many Pokemon as I would use. The challenger would be able to choose the Pokemon, specifically, but the order in which they are used will be determined by me. Switching Pokemon, from both sides, will not be allowed unless the Pokemon is determined to be defeated, otherwise, the round is considered forfeit.

@Prints Avoid I guess I'm doing better. I'd like to blame it on my job, but I think I might have depression which causes anxiety which gives me hypertension. It felt like I was suffering a panic attack or something for hours. So that was my day.

Well, today was a real nightmare for me (I really need to get myself some therapy), so in going to postpone my own post. I'll start working on one tomorrow as well, but might save to post it.

@Prints Avoid Just make this an introductory post. I just need to know what your character is doing and where he is. I can try to pitch some ideas to you tomorrow. But you don't have to worry about length. :)

That paragraph about the PokeStations being destroyed is not valid (I deleted it). I'm going to PM you when I get home with a solution that you'll hopefully not be infuriated with (it's plot sensitive and I don't want to announce it here ;p). You should only have to edit a paragraph and a sentence.

@Prints Avoid I'd think camping might be relatively common, but perhaps not. I wonder what kind of hosting system there'd be in this Hoenn.

@Imperfectionist I'm wary of specifically mapping distances for everything. I was thinking I'd be about a day's trip for most routes. But if you're willing to create the map or simply list out the distances of routes, I can put them in the map notes. ^^

Could there be any kind of taxi system she could pay for (Pokèmon or technological) that you could simply suggest she took and had stop at the daycare simply too inquire about the egg?

@c3p-0h Well, since the distance wasn't described in hard numbers, it would be relatively shorter, yes. But how close are you thinking? 10 miles would be a relatively short route, but it depends what time of day it is exactly and when you were planning on her getting back to her hotel. I don't remember anything specific enough to indicate she'd be walking around at midnight or anything.

Ugh, I should have brought this up before opening the IC...I'm such a boob and I'm sorry. :(
