The plan was going pretty good. Nincada was sticking around, despite all the type disadvantages. Natu was retreating as Aron showed up. Whooper, flew through the sky like a rocket. Martin got distracted by the spectacle, he did not think that was even possible. Hoppip suffered a burn on it, and Magby was trying to not get touched by the water type. Dawkin was talking about a focus fire on the Fire type. It sounded like a gang up, but that's how a team battle works, right? It was a valid tactic, everything work together to defeat the opponent one by one. Nincada had it's sights set on Natu, daring the bird to do that again. Martin had a feeling it was going to be work telling it to change targets.

"Nincada, change tactics. I need you to go after Magby right now. We can get back to Natu after we take him down. Use the Mudslap as cover and follow it up with Scratch!" Martin found himself holding his hand out like that would mean anything. Guess the fun is contagious, and he was going along for the ride. Nincada kept staring at Natu for a while, before finally looking at it's new opponent. Another tough opponent, but that won't scare him. After Aron used Mudslap, Nincada ran behind it, a cover against the impending fire the Pokemon was sure to use. Nincada raised it's sharp claws, ready to cut down it's foe.

Martin found himself smiling as well, this was how you start a journey. Use your environment and take on your opponent, no matter how bad the match up is. Dawkin seemed pretty good at making strategies, and Abigail had the most original ideas. Martin felt like he was falling behind for using such basic attacks. Guess his new order might make up for it. There was the concern that Nincada was going to be burned, but it's not like he could do nothing to help.
How did it get to this point? Bob was in the not so gentle arms of "Woggha". His plan failed and he had to stop and think what went wrong. Talking to the skeleton was where it started. Stink joined in and wanted to see him get punched. Electricity was counter productive to his escape attempt. The jet pack did exactly as he wanted. The brief moment of being in the sky, and the feeling of joy that they were going to crash into the ground. There was one detail he missed in this great idea. The oversized beast that was Woggha catching them both. Stink got out of it and that lead back to his current predicament.

Now Stink thought this was the point he would beg for mercy. That is not how this works, and he can prove it. Being held again was giving him another idea. If electricity got him in this situation, surely it will get him out of it. He still had the Sword of the Gods with him. No one was expecting a goblin to do something this brilliant. "You think this is good enough to stop me? You forget I am The Grand Royal Doctor Maxwell the Third! All of you shall bow down before the might of my inventions!" He knew where his sword was and he had both arms free. Time to smite the dumb beast holding him. While it would have been just as good of an idea to simply detach the cannon and flee. This thing was worth more than the silly idea of going without it.

The battery was still going and he was mad. Time for round two of his armors true purpose. It sparked and he grabbed his sword. While the idea of a goblin holding a sword while hanging from a beast might have been hilarious. The fact that now the sword was shooting lightning was not. Most of the lightning hit him, being the genius in a full metal armor. The only benefit was that the lightning did a good job recharging his battery in a loop of energy. He had no idea where the bolts would go, but once again assumed this was still the best outcome possible. He cackled with glee at the blatant disregard for his or anyone's safety that was close to him. His suit was electrified, adding to the amount of damage such a small creature was capable of dealing out.

The overcharge on his battery spewed out smoke at an alarming pace. The goblin was quickly being engulfed along with Woggha in a cloud of foul smelling sulfurous smoke. He only had time to swing once blindly at the beast, adding more electricity to the situation. Best case scenario was surely this could kill or stun the dumb beast. Worst case is he just made everything more angry, but with lightning added.
My bad on the delay. Haven't had time to fully sit down and write this out. It's time once again for "How bad can I make this situation?" Death of something will happen, that is almost becoming the only possible outcome. It might go well, we could sit down for some tea and be civilized someday. Or something bigger comes along and we turn this blood lust onto it instead of each other.
This is what happens when Yashar decided the first people to show up gets the job. The day we stop fighting each other. We could be a pretty awesome group capable of taking on a lot of things with our freaky powers diversity. Needs to burn, electrify, explode? Get the goblin. Needs brute force?Get Tugrok or the two abominations. Smart people unite? Spider and Bob. We just need a reason to unite. Hm, it's almost like we were promised gold and rewards. Nah, back to mindlessly killing each other.

Dawkin was quick to respond to the events unfolding. Already blocking a shot with Aron and declaring himself and Wooper as defenders. If that was the case, then that left him to take on Magby. Seemed simple, but taking on a fire type was not the best idea. Well, who ever said it was bright to challenge flying types either? Hoppip was quickly dismissed as a defensive Pokemon in Martin's mind. It was a glorified wall, capable of healing away the damage. While a good idea, it wasn't going to be able to take on two Pokemon at once. Nincada was staring at Natu with a look of wanting the fight. Or perhaps, it just wanted to take on a foe who could take it out quickly. The bird was closing in quickly and hit Nincada. Although a powerful hit, it still stood it's ground.

It seemed his Pokemon was already set on his traget, which was Natu. It would be better to not fight with his own Pokemon this early. He can work with it right now. Martin called out to Nincada. "Now while it's right on you, use Leech Life!" Nincada nodded again, the hat still covering it's head, albeit with a new hole in it from the Peck. Using it's claws, it struck out at the bird, threatening to take more than a few feathers with it. Martin realized he was forgetting something. Flying types beat bug, he should have realized that sooner. Using a Bug type would be normal effective against Natu, but it was already called out. Aron was already heading over to back up Nincada and take on the bird. Of course, Natu was likely to run away. That just gave a reason to gang up on Magby. No trainer would leave a situation that bad for their teammates, right?

"Nincada, if Natu keeps up the fight, stay behind Aron. Follow him like a shadow, and strike Natu when you see the chance. If it runs away, focus on Magby as well." It was all about match ups and Natu didn't have a chance getting through Aron. This was looking to be good teamwork on both sides. Even if it looked silly, let's see how Natu plans on dealing with this. Dawkin had a good strategy, and there was no flaw as far as he saw. Still, bug types are always laughed at for being weak. Despite the type disadvantages, he was going to prove the power of Bug types. Nincada was still doing it's thing trying to be threatening as it pounded it's claws into the ground.
Well, the armor won't let his arm pop off. Whether that's good or bad, is tough to say. So that leaves the other choices to pick from...
One choice is Bob gets slammed into the ground, this implies Grox has good grip and is heavy enough to not get shaken by it.
Another choice is, the resounding crater in the ground knocks them both down and it's still a bad situation, just in a large crater.
Still another choice, is Grox loses an arm or two from the force of Bob going up.
The last and worst choice is that the cannon is a dud and no one is happy with this result. Bob gets punched and we figure out if "invincible armor" is truly invincible.

While I have a lot of choices, let's see what @6slyboy6 can come up with that will line up as "god enough".
I agree with most of Eklipse's plan. Nincada can leech life with it's good toughness to outlast Natu. Wooper just has to keep Maggy occupied and unable to help it's bird friend. Given their bad match ups between Nincada and Natu, Aron can help clean up the flying bird making it the triangle on Maggy. Then we get out the drinks and laugh as Hoppit tries in vain to survive everything. Celebrate with great planning and possibly traveling buddies. That is a good plan, now to see how it all goes wrong next.
Bob's smile was quickly turning to horror. The skeleton seemed to have reached a new level of anger. He took the time to back up, but it was still not far enough. He had one choice at this range to get out of here. Fire the cannon on his back and accept whatever happens next. Given his distance it could give him precious seconds before he would find out how hard the skeleton can punch him. This was a good plan in his head, but he missed one detail...

The large orc didn't like his master level of nicknames, and was grabbing his arm. It was a solid grip and now the skeleton was heading towards him, looking to see if Bob would explode into tiny pieces from just one punch. Still, he had a few backup options. The crackle of electricity told him just what he needed. The battery didn't die out and it was ready. With a thunk on his chest, sparks flew off of him. The entire armor electrified, hopefully enough to make the orc let go. This plan wasn't Bob's only one as he was desperate to not die to such odorous monsters.

The only other plan was just as crazy of an idea. The rather large cannon on his back taunting him. Laughing at him for not using it sooner. If he could have just reached it... Wait a second, he still had a free hand. He fired the cannon on his back. Normally, it was enough to send him flying, but he had no idea what would happen since an orc was also holding him. Best case scenario is they both go airborne, or even force him to let go of the genius goblin inventor. Worst case scenario, they both go boom and that might be enough to get out of there while the smoke was clearing. Today was a good day for testing the power of his jet pack with unaware passengers.
I feel if your IQ is higher than a brick. You have to die. Best team ever, it's so good.

@6slyboy6 When you said you grabbed Bob's arm. Did you grab both of them or one? I must know for "research" reasons... If you grabbed only one, I have plenty of middle finger defenses against this hilarious situation. If not... I still have some, it's just even dumber ideas. This could go completely wrong and I die. Then Bob might be stuck with Stride. Even in death, the elf will not get to have peace. Everyone has to listen to Bob and his great speeches.

Martin was the first to declare the fight, but Dawkin stepped forward first. It wasn't a bad thing, as it gave him time to look over the others. Simon was ready to fight, even if it was just him. Maple was eager as well, leaving... Ellyn sounding like she wanted a nap. They all had their reasons for the fight, even if this wasn't going to be done often. He had to pull out his pokedex and scan them for a second. A Hoppip, Magby and a Natu. Martin was really hoping to see a ghost type. Still, if he remembered right, bugs beat psychic. This was already too much waiting. Simon was setting a bar that had to be met. Something about it was pretty fun to go with.

Martin pulled out his pokeball, his first fight and it was going to be a large one. He tossed it in the air a short distance from him, and yelled out, "My name is Martin. Remember that name, cause I'll be the best as well! Let's get them, Nincada!" With a flash of red light, a bug was called out. The large bug looked around for a bit. Martin tossed his hat out and tried to land it on Nincada. It was close enough, as he smiled. He looked over at Ellyn as he spoke, "Hey, we're here for some fun and to have a battle. It would be a lot better if you tried to enjoy this as well."

Nincada looked around being partially covered by Martin's hat. It didn't affect him either way, but the shade from sunlight calmed him down. He tried to look intimidating by tapping the ground repeatedly with his front claws. It came out more comical than scary when he did it. He looked over at Natu, like he knew who he was wanting to fight.

Martin was trying to remember his type match ups... Bug beat psychic, but what was it's weaknesses? Better to cover the bases as well. Man, one of these days, Dawkin or him are going to be accused of copying each other. "Nincada, let's get defensive as well. Use Harden." Nincada nodded and it's body toughened up. All of it's muscles tensed up as it was preparing to handle the fight that was coming up. Martin was almost showing his excitement with how ready he was for this battle. All those days on the trail, and now it's finally going to begin.
