Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Gri didn't order anything else from what was served to him, nor did he ask for more. He had drilled in his mind to never take more than what he needed and this would suffice for his nutrient needs. He then headed for the empty table as well and promptly sat down on the bench. He placed his tray on the table and then clapped his hands together and stayed silent with his eyes closed. Perhaps a prayer of some sort? He then put them down after a certain amount of time and then smiled at Khalil. "I wish I had that kind of dream. You know that the only reason I became a hunter was because I look up to mother." The gray haired male said with a chuckle as he started to eat.

A wave of flavor rushed into his mouth. It was much too long since he last ate bacon, eggs and a jam sandwich. It was such a simple thing but given his treatment back in the base where all he'd eat was a mash of something that didn't even taste like anything, this could have been heaven. A smile formed on his lips as he continued to eat, momentarily forgetting to converse with his brother.

Uriel had finally wanted to stop. It was nearing his time to train soldiers but everything inside the forest was just wrong. First, a mysterious hooded figure that he was currently trying to find, then a small voice which could no doubt belong to a fairy, and then there's the case of the burning decaying bush. Everything was in disarray and the general couldn't just make sense of where these people were. He stopped moving and then began to survey the surroundings.

He closed his eyes and focused on his hearing. Footsteps, coming from another way. Two more people were present, no doubt their resident vampires who were usually here. Then the fairy. He sighed and then continued walking to the direction of where the figure first ran. He didn't care anymore about the others that are possibly present. This could have all been avoided if that figure, who was now an undeniable Child of Light, stopped.

He was nearing Octavia's position but he didn't exactly know that. He stopped, a few meters from the angel's hiding place, because he had heard something odd. Quick and light footsteps. And then he saw it, Lucius. The general could easily make him out as the human mage who had fought in many battles.

"To enter without an army is foolish human." He then unsheathed his sword and pointed it at him. "Perhaps a valid explanation would save your life." True, Uriel saw this human as an enemy and would likely want to cut him down right here and now. But perhaps if he is not attacking and is here because he got lost into the other border or is here to pick up a lost kid, then it would break his morals to cripple him and send him to some random vampire as food. Admittedly, this went against his loyalty but his morals stand high above it.

"Well, whatever happens, happens." He said with a shrug before going completely underwater and then swimming towards the deeper part of the pool. He re-emerged and slicked his wet hair back and then waved at Selena. "It's no use to think about it now. So let's swim!" He said as he floated above water. He could actually touch the pool's ground but he decided not to.
Dang it.

Well anywho, I already made a character sooo... ah well.

All the lords. All the almighty lords.

"Don't worry 'bout it. That was what? 6 years ago? No need to be sorry." Leo said, waving his hand dismissively to get out of the subject. "Well, you gotta thank that old guy someday when you see him again. This place is a safe haven for kids like us."

"They say that there is a special type of magic out there, and I strive to found out what that is."

Most would consider him small for his age, standing at a height of 5'4". He is distinct among others because of his gray hair and eyes, which is quite odd for a young boy to have. He also has childish features for someone who is nearing the age of 20. He rarely wears anything other than his signature greyish green cloak and its hood is usually seen covering his head. One other noticeable feature about him is the odd shaped tattoo under his right eye, even he is unsure of what it is. He carries around a knapsack which contains books, magical or not and other needs.

He believes himself to be a free spirit, never wanting to fully bow down to anyone besides himself. Yes, he can work for others and follow someone's orders but he believes that is because of his own decisions and he can choose to obey or disobey it as he pleases. However, if he sells his allegiance to you, he will see the contract to the bitter end. He has a great love for books, fictional or not, and tends to carry some with him wherever he goes. He takes comfort in these when in dire situations. He is nice to others and can strike up a conversation when he can. He is open-minded, not minding if someone is talking about their nefarious schemes or valiant deeds. So long as they don't attack him, he's good. He will learn anything he can as well, especially when it involves magic. His true goal is to learn everything to know about the field and expand it.

Biography / History
Ulrich wasn't quite your average citizen. In fact, he wasn't a citizen of any kingdom at all. He lived in a small village between two kingdoms inside a forest known for its notorious wolves. His village isn't normal at all. From a young age, kids were taught how to protect themselves, through sword or magic, it didn't matter. Once they've learned the basics, a mage and a physical warrior will be put in pairs and then thrown into the wilderness. Their goal is to make back to the village alive. Ulrich was paired up with a well-trained female mercenary. Her name was Valerie, or Val for short, and she was quite a skilled mercenary. Both of them had pristine teamwork despite just meeting and they were the first pair to return to the village thanks to Ulrich's memory and natural tracking ability.

They were prophesied to be a great pair of paid warriors. But Ulrich wasn't too keen on killing but he had no choice. By the age of 14, both he and Val started to travel to earn for their own. Partners were for life, even if you have a family, you will travel with them. That is the saying of their village. That is why partners are of opposite sex, because most can't live a normal life with this rule embedded in their minds. But Ulrich and Val were different, they knew that they were going to leave each other once one falls in love with another and they fully accepted it. They were out of the village so why follow right?

By the age of 18, they had travelled far from their village. At that moment, they were caught up in a war between two kingdoms. Seeing the opportunity, the sellswords sold their allegiance to both kingdoms and see who can win their bid. One had a higher price than the other so they immediately went for the 'blue kingdom' as they called it. They fought and gave it their best shot. Needless to say, they were quite a help despite being young. But the kingdom knew that if the 'red kingdom' would send a messenger to them having greater money, they will deviate and tell the other kingdom of all their plans. The King was wrong as the two were loyal but his decision was already made. That night, Ulrich went outside to read and study the stars. When he came back to the room, he saw Val, bloody, stabbed multiple times in her abdomen. Needless to say, he was enraged but he fully knew that his capabilities would not be enough to defeat all of them. With a heavy heart, he fled the kingdom.

But not before some minor revenge. He sold the information to the 'red kingdom' and needless to say, the kingdom won. Ulrich put up a proper burial for his partner and continued his quest alone. Without a trusty sword beside him, he felt vulnerable to say at least but he knew that Val would get angry if he gave up. And so he continued to hone his skills and find out more about his beloved magic.
Why do I have that feeling that I want to make someone in the monster class... Is that even allowed?

Joking aside... I might have a little trouble understanding this but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Hopefully

Today was a new day but it would end up no different than his previous days. Days filled with crimson blood, silver weaponry and magic. Unlike previous days though, he was not ordered to fight an army but rather just to patrol the border that separated the light from the dark. The so called 'good' and the so called 'evil'. He wore his usual armor, the one crafted by his mother, and had his shield strapped to his back and his sword sheathed at his side.

Unlike most patrols, he was alone. He was a general, yes, and he commanded a whole legion who would follow his orders until their deaths but he needed no such support when it is simply patrolling the border. Their sentries hadn't caught anything like an army so there was nothing to worry about. And besides, his legion would be up and running by the time the horns were blown. In fact, they were ready right now for a fight just like any other Child of Darkness inside who had devoted their lives to fighting like he had.

He glanced across the border. It was odd really, how their world was perfectly divided. From where he was stepping was a cold and barren land, cold and without sunlight. Frost was forming on his armor but it was nothing to be afraid of. Further in to his home territory was snowy lands thanks to the sheer coldness of it. On the other side, however, on the Land of Light, was something completely opposite. Their land basked in the sunlight that most Children of Darkness could just dream of, their land was rich with vegetations and life. Perhaps others would be envious but Uriel couldn't feel anything, not envy nor pride.

Another deep sigh found its way out of his mouth as he soldiered on. He took these patrols quite seriously so he stopped every once in a while to check out any fresh footprints or perhaps something out of the ordinary. That's why he starts at a very early time, so he could finish earlier and continue training the new cadets that found their way into his regiment. Although most were quite skilled from what he saw earlier.

A sound reached his ear. A very unusual sound that most wouldn't hear at this time and place. A giggle, a squeal of excitement. And it made the demon very suspicious. He left his usual path near the border to follow where the sound came from. Lo and behold, he saw a figure walking through the dense trees of their local forests. Now what could a person be doing at this time of the hour? The only people he usually saw around these parts were alchemists and collectors of herbs that grew around here.

He began to run, towards the figure. "Halt!" He ordered as he continued his pursuit. These were one of the times were he wished that he had wings. But surprisingly, he still was quite quick under all that metal on him. "Who are you?" He once again demanded, unsheathing his sword and taking his shield. This just might be a spy and it would be dangerous to pursue this person without any form of defense.

"Doesn't hurt to be optimistic too." Leo pointed out before relaxing into the pool, sinking down so only his head was above water. It cooled him down a little bit. "So how did you find your way to the orphanage? Personally, I was sent here thanks to my parents before they got killed." He said with a shrug, not really finding any sadness in his parents' deaths anymore. The past was in the past and it will stay there.
