but if you wanted to keep his name AND have it be meaningful, he could also be named after a deceased family member, like one of his parents' parents, or siblings, or something of that nature.

Might just go with it being a grandparent's name then, for the simplicity of it.

Though the idea of him being named after a bear and people insulting him by saying "You look more like a cub to me" is almost too hilarious to pass up, heheh.

Looks good! In terms of character ties, maybe he could be Magura's son? Just the idea of Magura being a massive man and renowned hunter having this tiny son and everyone being like "ehhhh idk if he can be a hunter" and then him ALSO being really good seems cool. Also that prankster, kind of cocky personality seems like something that would be appropriate for the son of a chieftain lol. But only if you feel like that would fit with the character. Either way, he's definitely approved.

He could be! Being Magura's son would definitely support Killik's desires to hunt for the tribe instead of taking another role. Hearing the stories of his hunts and wanting to one day claim large prey like his father. Possibly a few changes would be in order; Appearance could potentially be explained by the mother, though the name could change to adapt a partial bonding between Magura and the mother's name, whatever that would be. Or would Magura want to name his son something specific? Perhaps something to reflect his small size even as a newborn, or perhaps just something he considers fitting for the cheiftain's son. Changes can definitely be made to fit this together better.

Appreciate the approval, though. I'll be working on another full character at some point before we start, but I'd rather see what people are doing first so we don't end up with too much overlap. Gotta get that variety in.
